The Sails Motel Brunswick Heads

Had a really great time at Sails. Super clean and comfy rooms. Excellent location. We loved sitting around the pool and got good meals very close.

Loved our stay - motel had a great vibe - lovely renovations. Staff were extremely friendly. Fantastic location, easy walk to everything. We requested a quiet room and got a room at the back which was wonderfully quiet. Only downside was parking was very tight - wasn’t an issue for us as luckily no car next door to us but would’ve been difficult with a bigger car. Wifi wasn’t great - again not an issue for us as plenty of other things to do in the area. For me the beds were a bit soft but everyone has individual tastes so I’m sure others would love it. Overall thought it was a great option for our stay.

Easy to get to, very clean and tidy in the rooms as well as common areas. Comfortable beds, variety of pillows. Easy parking, awesome cafe next door. Short walk to the main pub.

Location Location - Hard to believe that a renovated Sails Motel at Brunswick Heads is in the middle of the Brunswick Township. Our Unit was so quiet and offered all the mod cons that you need - Micro oven, very small fridge that is not easy to use. A large TV but unfortunately, we were unable to use as we have free to air at home and also Foxtel. We were unable to see the sport as Foxtel was not one of the services you could use. Comfortable bed, Dark Shades in the window. Spacious bathroom and toilet. We parked our car in front of our unit and walked to down town. Brunswick Heads now has paid parking of $5 hour so you are best to park at the motel and walk everywhere. Two Cafe's just outside the Motel that were very popular with the locals. Would loved to use the pool are but the locals said the pool was not heated and very cold. All staff were very friendly and always there to please you. We highly recommend The Sails Motel. The Brunswick Heads Hotel is very popular but expensive. Also the Brunswick Heads Bowls Club is only a 5 minute drive. Has great meals at realistic prices, they also have theme nights eg Italian and Indian night etc where the meal is $24. The local Trivia Nights which most of locals attend. Free Pool all day - a winner with the young and old. Do not walk down to the Bowls Club at night as the lighting is very poor and the pathway needs repair. Heaps of parking near the Bowls Club and it is free. All staff are Helpful and very friendly

Great Pool and bar area. We spent some time at the restaurant next door for happy hour( 3-5 weekdays) so good that we did it again the following day despite staying somewhere else!

Retro Hotel modernise with clean new bathrooms and bedrooms. There is a pool and a reception bar as well and right next door to an excellent pizza and tapas wine bar.

Room a decent size, good amout of storage space, good sized shower room. The parking could be a little difficult. The lack of sn onsite laundry was disappointing.

The property was clean and modern. We were impressed with room however the fridge and ceiling fandidn't work. A bit disappointing.

The bed was comfortable but aside from that the wifi did not work at all in my room, the towel rack fell off when i went to hang my towel, microwave flickered and shorted out, and parking was way too tight in the rooms around the corner i managed to get into my park as nobody was next to me at the time but later on a car did park beside me and i had to ask him to move his car next morning when i left so i could squeeze out. He didnt mind and agreed i wouldnt be able to get past his car but it was inconvenient i had to ask him in the morning and i had to wait to leave until a reasonable hr but was heading 6 hrs north and wanted an early start. My shower unfortunately also had a used cake of soap and hair in the bed so i dont think it had been cleaned before i came. The air-conditioning did work well and there was a fridge and tv. Have never complained about a place i have stayed before except this time and was disappointed in my response as i was not made aware that there was a person around when reception was closed but told that is how i should have handled it. I would have if i had known that. I am very disappointed and wouldnt come again. I stayed in 6 other places all over nsw coast that same week and have left 5 stars as they were all adequate. Shame about my last place i stayed (here) before i came home.

The receptionist was lovely and very welcoming. Great location, however there is a wine bar restaurant connected to the front which played very loud music late in the night. Not a great sleep. On a Wednesday.m too. I’d recommend asking for a room at the back of the complex.

This place was great! The facilities were great and room was very tidy. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable and walls were quite thin however what do you expect for a motel. We had some loud neighbours who thought the bbq area was a place for drinking. The staff quickly told them off which was nice! Great spot too with easy parking in front of room and lots of food places nearby. Highly recommend if you’re looking for good accomodation on a budget

Room 1 is on top of a bar

It was quite noisy as it sounded like I had a water pump outside the bathroom so if anyone in the block flushed the pump would run. Not the best sound proofing between rooms The bed was a bit soft. Average decor, the little lounge was badly stained. The tv was surprisingly small. It was okay.

It was strange to find the office locked and no-one around to check us in at 2:00pm. Also no-one around in the morning. It is a quiet place however with an ultra- comfortable bed and decent fridge and toaster etc. Handy to walk everywhere and close to town centre. I just wish it hadn't flogged down with rain. Torrential!!

This place is excellent on every count. Such a brilliant idea to take an old motel, tastefully update it, bring in a great Italian restaurant and staff it with a friendly and attentive receptionist. Will definitely be staying here on my next trip up the coast.

Really convenient for The Brunswick Picture House and some amazing dining options around the property as well.

Low key motel in Brunswick Heads. Good location within an easy walk of the river and the beach. Some excellent food and coffee options within 2 minutes walk. Rooms are retro style but very well equipped. Nice modern bathroom. Parking spaces are big and wide.
