Booked it to try something different. Don't think I'd be able to stay anywhere else in the area now—absolutely unmatched customer service. Maps & info on best places to eat. Discounted tickets to hot springs, which are a short drive or brief walk up the road—they'll even provide towels for you to take to avoid the rental fee at the springs. Across the road from multiple restaurants. I'll be back!

Tom was a great host and helped us with tips on where to eat and what to enjoy in the area. The hotel is a little gem in a perfect location and we thoroughly enjoyed staying here. I'll also note in the evening the folks from the room next door had the fire pit going right outside our door and having a little party and the sound insulation is incredible, I only found out because I went out to get something from the car. That's pretty neat and probably part of the reason we had such a quiet and peaceful night's sleep. Excellent! I'll be happy to stay here again next time I'm in the area.

Check in was very quick. The BBQ area was nicely set up with a propane firepit so we were able to sit and enjoy the fire with other people staying. They were quick to answer any questions and offer assistance as needed.

We had a great stay at the Gables Motel! The room was small but very clean, and it had everything we needed — including a fridge, which was super handy. My fiancé was especially happy to have a dedicated spot to safely park his bike. The owner is incredibly friendly and truly goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. We also appreciated the discounted tickets to the Hot Springs — such a nice bonus! The bed was comfortable, the price was just right, and the overall experience was wonderful. What more can you ask for?

Absolutely loved this property! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be staying here again. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need—including coffee creamer in the mini fridge, which was a nice touch. I was also impressed by the multi-device charger in the room—super convenient! The outdoor BBQ and seating areas were a perfect spot to relax. Highly recommend!

I haven't stayed in a motel in years, but this one looked quaint in the photos. The person who greeted and checked me in was very friendly and helpful and even showed me my room. They give you an actual key instead of a key card, so that was different. The room had a fridge, coffee maker (with creamers in the fridge) and a decent size TV. The hot water took a while to get hot, but at least there was hot water. Carpets were stained in spots, but the overall cleanliness was just fine. Know that there is no air conditioning. It wasn't a particularly warm night the night I stayed or the fan they provide in the room probably wouldn't have been adequate to keep me cool.

It is a very old property. There was crumbs still from the previous guest on the night stand. The plug in did not even work for the coffee maker. The carpet was severely dirty and old. The beds we’re comfortable but I think it is time to do some renovations and purchase some new linens.

Place was clean and the staff helpful and friendly. The hotel is very very old and run down. I did not feel I got value for money. Stayed there because it was a halfway point of a journey but would not stay again.

The best part about the Gables is the staff. We've stayed multiple times and this time found it a little dirty, mostlt the bathroom. This hotel would be perfect with a few little updates.

The towels in the bathroom were dirty we had our own so used them . Tv was difficult to figure out should have a guide on the room . staff was great , pretty exterior with lots of flowers

Room has an infestation of box elder bugs, owner not too concerned. It was unsettling to have these flying & crawling around. Room was old badly in need on some upgrade. When asked if they had ice owner said there was ice for sale at reception - pretty bad when you have to buy ice. We were the only ones there. The owner really should get his big problem under control!

Room was clean, fair price. Tom was a great host Like the grounds. I would stay again Note, there is no AC, but the rooms are built into the hill side and naturally stay cooler ( it was 90 degrees the day I stayed there, and room was cool enough)

Gables is a good option for a short stay. The rooms are clean though a little compact in size. There is open space outside the rooms to eat/drink or simply chill. The host Tom was very helpful and shared a lot of information regarding the activities around the area. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a short and budget friendly stay.

There was no air conditioning so the tiny room was very hot. They provided a fan but it was super noisy so kept me up most of the night. I rented room 3 but I got room 1 and since that was the smoking area I couldn't even open my window to let some air in. No ice machine either so had to ask for ice but felt bad so never asked for more.

Hotels.com booking was not in there systems. Both that visit and the following visit I have later this week. They still managed to get us a room for the night, like we booked at hotels.com and they managed to get me the stamps that I assumed I'd lose. They were very helpful and incredibly nice. You just don't get service like this from the corporations. Recommended to any families passing through radium.

We stayed for one night. The location is excellent, and the building has a charming exterior, although it's clearly older and could use some updates—especially the bathroom. The unit has carpet, which adds to the dated feel. When we arrived to check in, the host was chatting with another guest. Although we were acknowledged, we ended up waiting about 30 minutes to complete the check-in process, which felt too long. On the bright side, check-out was simple—just a quick key drop-off. Free Wi-Fi and on-site parking were definitely a plus.

The owner is a wonderful man and very caring. Proximity to the hot springs pool can not be beaten. Remember it is a motel and when comparing to other motels we felt it was on the better side.

My girlfriend and I were only able to stay here for a single night, but we both wish we had spent more time at the Gables motel and more time in Radium Hot Springs in general. The owner Tom was a delight to chat with. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations and his knowledge of the town. He gave us great food recommendations and even hustled to get us towels and tickets to the hot springs before they closed after our dinner ran long. The motel is easily within walking distance of the town. I cannot recommend it enough.
