Stayed 3 nights

When we arrived at the ‘Le Jardin’ cottage most of the windows were open. It was a chilly afternoon so we closed them, we went out for a couple of hours and on our return the cottage was cold and felt damp. We turned the heating on for a few hours, unfortunately the bed was damp and I woke up in the night coughing badly. I had messaged the owner the night before to say the gîte felt cold and damp but no response. We decided we didn’t want to stay two more nights so messaged the owner again, I then contacted hotels.com who phoned the owner who then came over to the cottage, asked us if we had turned on the heating, when we said yes but didn’t improve the bed so we were checking out, she offered us a room in the chateau which we accepted. It was a lovely big room with a very comfortable bed but only a bath, nowhere to put the shower head, no screen and no grab rail. So in the mornings we had to go to the cottage to shower and breakfast. The owner’s main reason for giving us the room was so she “didn’t get a bad review” when we left we went to pay the €6 tourist tax and had a very stony and unfriendly reception from the owner

Hard to find via GPS. Had to call & Francois was friendly enough & helpful, great English speaking. The room was quaint & comfy. This has to be one of thee most quietest places on earth. We were able to walk to a restaurant within 15 min for dinner. A true adventure & experience.

A very peaceful a quiet Chateau tucked away in the French countryside. The rooms have been renovated, but also still provide an authentic experience. We enjoyed wandering the grounds, taking in all of the charm of an authentic French estate. This is a multi building Bed and Breakfast with rooms set up in different buildings around the estate, which was very unique. The owner is also very charming.
