Really lovely hotel with fabulous staff. I opted for breakfast only as there are some great restaurants within walking distance. The royal level pool is really nice and you can order drinks via the app if you download it. The other part of the hotel has a nice pool bar as well. Well located, about 25 mins walk to both Playa del Inglés (though the walk back up the hill wasn’t the best in the heat) and the Dunes which were spectacular at sunrise. The hotel runs a shuttle bus to and from the beach if you don’t fancy the walk.

Quiet and clean hotel. We ventured into the family hotel restaurant (canteen) and it was a contrast to the adult hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. Housekeeping every day with complimentary bottled water. Food was good but you need to book a time slot. Good choices, well presented and fresh. Annoyed that the Fuego restaurant was closed most of the week so booking it when it was open was impossible. The pool area was clean and sun beds wars started as early as 7:30 am. There was no one policing so some beds where left with a towel on it all day. The yoga class with the steel drums was excellent. Nice of the hotel to have activities everyday. There was a complimentary bus service and the local shops were well stocked. Overall a pleasant stay.

Immaculate room, lovely pool area and good food and drink options. Adults only but with the benefit of being able to use the facilities of the main child friendly hotel next door. A bit of a walk to the sea but that suited us and there is a free shuttle bus available. Great holiday, thank you!

très bon hôtel, calme réservé aux adultes, on y mange très bien, le service est impeccable. la piscine est à bonne température c'est important d'avoir une belle piscine chauffée à plus de 28 degrés.

Great 7 night stay at the Royal Level section of the hotel with my partner. The room was much larger than expected, with a balcony overlooking the pool area but far enough away to still feel private. We opted for the breakfast-included option - we both agreed that the quality and choice of the breakfast was the best experienced so far in any hotel! The pool was peaceful, and we never had any trouble getting a sun lounger (no need for the 7am starts to reserve a space that you hear about elsewhere). All of the staff were very professional and friendly. Only a ten minute walk away from the nightlife of the Yumbo centre, and always felt safe even late at night. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Der Aufenthalt im Barceló Margaritas Royal Level war wirklich wunderbar. Das Essen war klasse - sowohl Frühstück, als auch Mittagessen, Snackkarte und Dinner waren immer vielfältig und lecker -, die Suite war großzügig gestaltet, das Personal stets freundlich - und All-Inclusive wirklich sehr empfehlenswert! Es waren sehr hochwertige Getränke auf der Karte. Und wenn mal was nicht draufstand, wurde es trotzdem möglich gemacht. Der Poolbereich ist großzügig und der im All-Inclusive beinhaltete Pool-Service für Getränke auch wirklich sehr komfortabel. Diesen Service haben wir wirklich ausgiebig genutzt. Zimmer wurden täglich ordentlich gereinigt. Kaltgetränke waren 24/7 unten in der Lobby für All Inclusive Gäste erhältlich. Einziger Nachteil: Poolplätze können schnell voll werden. Den Trubel im regulären Barceló bekommt man hier überhaupt nicht mit. Was häufiger mal etwas lauter ist, ist die Animation vom Hotel gegenüber. Aber auch das hält sich in Grenzen und findet nicht den ganzen Tag über statt. Der Bus-Shuttle nach Maspalomas und zum Plays del Inglés ist super und wurde auch gerne genutzt! In nur 10 Minuten ist man zudem zu Fuß beim Yumbo Center. Alles in allem ein wirklich toller Urlaub! Komme gern wieder und kann es nur empfehlen.

Food was cold every night,we complained and had a 45 minute meeting with a manager but nothing changed.we paid £3000 for this hotel and it was a rip off ,first day the noise from the sister hotel was deafening,we were at the quiet pool and couldn’t hear ourselves speak .We complained and it was turned down,it is not in our opinion an adult only ,there is only a small wooden fence between the children’s entertainment and this hotel.Totally disappointing,I went for my special birthday and was so let down.Management was inefficient and most could not speak English only Spanish so trying to communicate was useless,the cleaners need retraining,I left bits on the floor of the bathroom and they stayed there,awful. Every night I drew attention to the fact the food was cold ,undercooked and raw inside ,nothing was done or improved,this is a true statement,very disappointing

Tolle Anlage mit schönem Pool. Zimmer geräumig und alles sehr sauber. Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und überaus zuvorkommend. Reichliches Frühstück und tolles abwechslungsreiches Buffet zum Abendessen. Alles in allem… Kann man wirklich empfehlen. Strand ist in ca. 25 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Es gibt viele verschiedene Restaurants, die innerhalb von 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar sind.

The hotel was very clean and tidy. The safe were all so polite and knowledgeable in their area of work. The food was plentiful and enjoyable. Only one criticism is that some of the food wasn't hot enough for my liking but if you ask staff they would warm it. I need a gluten free diet and the staff where so helpful. Fabulous idea to have an app so we could order what we wanted. So much to choose from. I would definitely return to the resort and recommend the hotel.

Overall a good experience, had to move room due to noise and maintenance issues. Second room had maintenance issues but no other suitable rooms available, so after some negotiations a compromise was agreed upon. Not particularly happy with how certain parts of that process was carried out and having to sign a document with my passport number on and stating that I wouldn’t sue Barcelo seems quite heavy handed. Then the client manager having a go at me in front of a full reception for uploading photos of the issue I had to a Facebook group didn’t seem very professional. However if you want a hotel in that area the food is good, staff are friendly and pool/garden area is beautiful then I’d consider, just be wary of the full suites as they are on the end if the building near the road and don’t seem to have a had a bathroom refurb in a while.

Vi havde bestilt en suite - og den havde 2 altaner og en flot udsigt - men suite på 4-stjernet hotel - der havde vi forventet mere. Et badeværelsesloft, der hang i laser. Dårlige senge på hjul og meget mere. Men personalet var super venlige, glade og smilende.

This hotel needs to spend some money on the rooms, first room flooded, second room was like a cardboard box and heard everything. Typical spanish hospital spend money making downstairs look nice and leave the rooms. Never met such an arrogant receptionist either. This was not a cheap night at around 400€ a night. So you would expect better

Barcelo Margaritas - Royal Level was my third hotel in the Maspalomas area and by far the best. The hotel, facilities, food quality and service were by far the best (5-star quality). We picked the half-board option which included buffet breakfast and the option of lunch (a la carte) or dinner (buffet-style) at their Royal-Level restaurant (La Palapa). Other restaurants were also available but honestly not needed because the food at La Palapa was the best food I've had in all Maspalomas restaurants we tried. Super highly recommended. The only downside was the WIFI didn't worked in our room, possibly because we had a corner room. Which I'm sure it could've been fixed but we were so busy that we barely stayed in the room, other than to sleep.

Excellent resort. The size, cleanliness and setup of the rooms were perfect. I give this resort a high score for the following reasons - Our group requested adjoining rooms in advance - which the resort provided. When it was not possible to arrange a late checkout, the resort provided another room where we could shower and change prior to our airport departure. One of our group members celebrated his birthday and was surprised with a beautiful card and a sweet treat. The only recommendation that I would provide to the resort is to simplify their interactive television to enable easier connectivity of personal devices.

Great 7 night stay at the Royal Level section of the hotel with my partner. The room was much larger than expected, with a balcony overlooking the pool area but far enough away to still feel private. We opted for the breakfast-included option - we both agreed that the quality and choice of the breakfast was the best experienced so far in any hotel! The pool was peaceful, and we never had any trouble getting a sun lounger (no need for the 7am starts to reserve a space that you hear about elsewhere). All of the staff were very professional and friendly. Only a ten minute walk away from the nightlife of the Yumbo centre, and always felt safe even late at night. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

No Hotel Bar , no buzz or atmosphere in reception area . Suite Bathroom in poor condition with leaking shower . Too many doors in bathroom, Very small wash basin. One receptionist for checkin and checkout , queries etc. long waiting . Very nice pool and outside area and gardens .

Overall a good experience, had to move room due to noise and maintenance issues. Second room had maintenance issues but no other suitable rooms available, so after some negotiations a compromise was agreed upon. Not particularly happy with how certain parts of that process was carried out and having to sign a document with my passport number on and stating that I wouldn’t sue Barcelo seems quite heavy handed. Then the client manager having a go at me in front of a full reception for uploading photos of the issue I had to a Facebook group didn’t seem very professional. Staff brilliant. Room brilliant. Really enjoyed my stay, and made good use of most of the facilities. Lots of variety in the buffet restaurant. If you’re looking for a retreat then this is great, and would look forward to another visit. Hotel location may not suit everyone as it’s more than a short walk to the seafront. Not such a big issue for me as I felt that the seafront area was in need of a major upgrade - feels like it’s from a bygone era, so chose not to go there after the first time. Overall very happy with the hotel, suited my wishes perfectly. Resort needs to be rejuvenated somehow - perhaps a victim of too many ‘All Inclusives’.

The hotel was very clean and tidy. The safe were all so polite and knowledgeable in their area of work. The food was plentiful and enjoyable. Only one criticism is that some of the food wasn't hot enough for my liking but if you ask staff they would warm it. I need a gluten free diet and the staff where so helpful. Fabulous idea to have an app so we could order what we wanted. So much to choose from. I would definitely return to the resort and recommend the hotel.

Check in - could be quicker why the need to forward Expedia email etc when already have details on system Room - lovely big and week presented, high quality bedding robes toiletries, powerful hair dryer,water replenished almost daily only 1 day no housekeeping in a week. Pool large area always sun beds and loungers, order drinks from scanning we code at bed. Gardens well maintained and pool area washed down daily. Restaurant- Saturday night was amazing range and quality however by Monday it went way down hill, lots of dried up food, less choice. Huge amount of PORK and little else. The pork wasn’t always CLEARLY labelled, and put into far too many dishes. Breakfast was constantly good and able to order set dishes or help self to buffet. The hotel app is a bit difficult to navigate at first but then get used to it to book in for dinner each day. Service - they’re are a lot of staff in the restaurant standing about talking and I did hear them talking negatively about guests, maybe they be better stiring the food so it’s not dried up. Really lovely hotel with fabulous staff. I opted for breakfast only as there are some great restaurants within walking distance. The royal level pool is really nice and you can order drinks via the app if you download it. The other part of the hotel has a nice pool bar as well. Well located, about 25 mins walk to both Playa del Inglés (though the walk back up the hill wasn’t the best in the heat) and the Dunes which were spectacular at sunrise. The hotel runs a shuttle bus to and from the beach if you don’t fancy the walk.

Great hotel. Perfect location for the Yumbo Centre and around a half hour walk to the start of the dunes. Lovely, helpful staff. Rooms were spotless and have everything you need. Swimming pool was excellent, even for doing lengths, and the pool and sunbeds never felt too busy. Good food too.

I like the location with easy access to Yumbo and a few nice dining areas. The property had limited parking but street parking always available and free. It was off season so very quite and adults only was a bonus. The breakfast was good but repeated everyday so could only have for a couple mornings. Rooms very clean and spacious

Immaculate room, lovely pool area and good food and drink options. Adults only but with the benefit of being able to use the facilities of the main child friendly hotel next door. A bit of a walk to the sea but that suited us and there is a free shuttle bus available. Great holiday, thank you!

Der Aufenthalt im Barceló Margaritas Royal Level war wirklich wunderbar. Das Essen war klasse - sowohl Frühstück, als auch Mittagessen, Snackkarte und Dinner waren immer vielfältig und lecker -, die Suite war großzügig gestaltet, das Personal stets freundlich - und All-Inclusive wirklich sehr empfehlenswert! Es waren sehr hochwertige Getränke auf der Karte. Und wenn mal was nicht draufstand, wurde es trotzdem möglich gemacht. Der Poolbereich ist großzügig und der im All-Inclusive beinhaltete Pool-Service für Getränke auch wirklich sehr komfortabel. Diesen Service haben wir wirklich ausgiebig genutzt. Zimmer wurden täglich ordentlich gereinigt. Kaltgetränke waren 24/7 unten in der Lobby für All Inclusive Gäste erhältlich. Einziger Nachteil: Poolplätze können schnell voll werden. Den Trubel im regulären Barceló bekommt man hier überhaupt nicht mit. Was häufiger mal etwas lauter ist, ist die Animation vom Hotel gegenüber. Aber auch das hält sich in Grenzen und findet nicht den ganzen Tag über statt. Der Bus-Shuttle nach Maspalomas und zum Plays del Inglés ist super und wurde auch gerne genutzt! In nur 10 Minuten ist man zudem zu Fuß beim Yumbo Center. Alles in allem ein wirklich toller Urlaub! Komme gern wieder und kann es nur empfehlen.

Ich war schon zum 2. Mal im Royal Level und war wieder sehr zufrieden. Leider war das Abendessen dieses Mal ohne Grill und von der Auswahl nicht so gut wie im November. Komme dennoch gerne wieder und habe bereits erneut gebucht :)

Food was cold every night,we complained and had a 45 minute meeting with a manager but nothing changed.we paid £3000 for this hotel and it was a rip off ,first day the noise from the sister hotel was deafening,we were at the quiet pool and couldn’t hear ourselves speak .We complained and it was turned down,it is not in our opinion an adult only ,there is only a small wooden fence between the children’s entertainment and this hotel.Totally disappointing,I went for my special birthday and was so let down.Management was inefficient and most could not speak English only Spanish so trying to communicate was useless,the cleaners need retraining,I left bits on the floor of the bathroom and they stayed there,awful. Every night I drew attention to the fact the food was cold ,undercooked and raw inside ,nothing was done or improved,this is a true statement,very disappointing

Quiet and clean hotel. We ventured into the family hotel restaurant (canteen) and it was a contrast to the adult hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. Housekeeping every day with complimentary bottled water. Food was good but you need to book a time slot. Good choices, well presented and fresh. Annoyed that the Fuego restaurant was closed most of the week so booking it when it was open was impossible. The pool area was clean and sun beds wars started as early as 7:30 am. There was no one policing so some beds where left with a towel on it all day. The yoga class with the steel drums was excellent. Nice of the hotel to have activities everyday. There was a complimentary bus service and the local shops were well stocked. Overall a pleasant stay.

The hotel was very clean and tidy. The safe were all so polite and knowledgeable in their area of work. The food was plentiful and enjoyable. Only one criticism is that some of the food wasn't hot enough for my liking but if you ask staff they would warm it. I need a gluten free diet and the staff where so helpful. Fabulous idea to have an app so we could order what we wanted. So much to choose from. I would definitely return to the resort and recommend the hotel.

Check in - could be quicker why the need to forward Expedia email etc when already have details on system Room - lovely big and week presented, high quality bedding robes toiletries, powerful hair dryer,water replenished almost daily only 1 day no housekeeping in a week. Pool large area always sun beds and loungers, order drinks from scanning we code at bed. Gardens well maintained and pool area washed down daily. Restaurant- Saturday night was amazing range and quality however by Monday it went way down hill, lots of dried up food, less choice. Huge amount of PORK and little else. The pork wasn’t always CLEARLY labelled, and put into far too many dishes. Breakfast was constantly good and able to order set dishes or help self to buffet. The hotel app is a bit difficult to navigate at first but then get used to it to book in for dinner each day. Service - they’re are a lot of staff in the restaurant standing about talking and I did hear them talking negatively about guests, maybe they be better stiring the food so it’s not dried up. Der Aufenthalt im Barceló Margaritas Royal Level war wirklich wunderbar. Das Essen war klasse - sowohl Frühstück, als auch Mittagessen, Snackkarte und Dinner waren immer vielfältig und lecker -, die Suite war großzügig gestaltet, das Personal stets freundlich - und All-Inclusive wirklich sehr empfehlenswert! Es waren sehr hochwertige Getränke auf der Karte. Und wenn mal was nicht draufstand, wurde es trotzdem möglich gemacht. Der Poolbereich ist großzügig und der im All-Inclusive beinhaltete Pool-Service für Getränke auch wirklich sehr komfortabel. Diesen Service haben wir wirklich ausgiebig genutzt. Zimmer wurden täglich ordentlich gereinigt. Kaltgetränke waren 24/7 unten in der Lobby für All Inclusive Gäste erhältlich. Einziger Nachteil: Poolplätze können schnell voll werden. Den Trubel im regulären Barceló bekommt man hier überhaupt nicht mit. Was häufiger mal etwas lauter ist, ist die Animation vom Hotel gegenüber. Aber auch das hält sich in Grenzen und findet nicht den ganzen Tag über statt. Der Bus-Shuttle nach Maspalomas und zum Plays del Inglés ist super und wurde auch gerne genutzt! In nur 10 Minuten ist man zudem zu Fuß beim Yumbo Center. Alles in allem ein wirklich toller Urlaub! Komme gern wieder und kann es nur empfehlen.

The hotel was extremely beautiful and the landscaping added to its relaxing ambience. The staff were so polite, very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The food and drinks were amazing. We stayed at the hotel for one week and were overall very pleased with our stay. The location is nice with free shuttle buses to both Playa del Inglès and Maspalomas beach. Clean and quiet rooms with comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Tatiana. We will definately return.
