Very friendly checkin. Room was fairly clean. Some noise transfer from the unit above us. Sheer curtains stop the blackouts from closing; they should be on separate rods. Toilet was installed 90-degrees off, so the counter is right at your face and bumps your knees. Flooring in kitchen has evidence of old water damage. Over-priced for the quality. Would consider staying elsewhere next time. Small kitchenette; only used it for making coffee.

We had a great stay at the hitching post motel. We rented cabin 212 and it was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Exactly what we needed for our stay in Mt. Currie. Staff were very friendly and accomodating.

Stayed 1 night

I have stayed at Hitching Post Motel many times over the years and always enjoyed it under the previous owners. Unfortunately, this was my second stay since the ownership changed, and it will likely be my last. The room was noticeably less clean than before. The bed sheets and towels had visible stains, there were hairs on the bed, and the floor did not appear to have been properly cleaned. The room also lacked blackout curtains, making it difficult to sleep, and the air conditioner was extremely loud throughout the night. Another disappointment was the furniture. It appeared that outdoor patio furniture had been brought indoors and used as room furniture, which made the room feel cheap and uncomfortable. The friendly, welcoming atmosphere that the previous owners created is no longer there. While the location is still convenient, I would rather spend a little more for a cleaner and more comfortable stay elsewhere.

Was pleasantly surprised. For the price I was expecting the property to be really basic and a bit run down, but the room was actually nice and the bed was really comfortable.
