Clean, nice pool, friendly staff, great place to stay.

We stayed here for a few days and it was a great experience. The property was well kept inside and out. Our room was clean and stocked with the basics. The staff was always friendly. Breakfast was simple but perfect for an early morning. The waffle maker is awesome. We had the pool to ourselves and it backs onto beautiful tall trees that started to turn fall colours. The location is right next to the main road an a gas station for quick drinks and snacks if needed.

The staff was helpful and ready to serve. The facilities are in need on renovations. Elevator sounded like it was coming off the pulleys between third and fourth floor. Room edge guides between bathroom and bedding area were loose and coming off the walls. Floor creaked and had to make the people on the floor below us uncomfortable. Pool had no lounge chairs and no one cleaned it so I cleaned it both days that we used the pool. Just gave an overall appearance of struggling!!!

Dirty hallways, room was OK. Elevator was filthy. Breakfast was sub-standard. I initially booked a 6 day stay but moved to another hotel after just one night.

Elevator is very noisy even after servicing, wasn't sure it would work. Inadequate counter space in bathroom, phone in room didn't work to call front desk (even after going to desk to replace cut cord we found) no USB outlets, TV input was wrong and should have been checked between occupancy. Breakfast area too small to accommodate more than a handful of guests. Coffee and juice readily available in lobby is a plus. Friendly staff.

I wish they add a fitness area with some dumbells, a bicycle and a treadmill.

The staff was very respectful and easy to reach. The room was clean. The breakfast is ok. There was a hole in the wall in our bathroom. The pool was clean and the kids enjoyed that. Big plus for us is that the pool is open until 10.

That elevator needs to be inspected. When it is stopping at a floor it feels very unsafe with it shaking before opening. Ac unit didn’t feel effective. Took a long time for it to get cold and it was already cool outside.

The pool was refreshing and clean. Staff was great. The humidity level was high so towels did not dry when hung up had to keep swapping them out at front desk.

Room smelled terribly musty and carpet felt wet. We had 4 people staying and only 3 pillows, two of which were small (think throw pillows). Asked the desk for pillows and they said there weren't any because the hotel was fully sold out. Had to use a rolled up blanket as a pillow. No body wash in shower dispenser. Overall, super disappointing stay.

From the time we entered the door, the hotel was sparkeling clean. Not only the common areas but our room was so clean and the beds were comfy! We will definately stay here again!!

The Hotel and the room itself was a mess. Bad odor. The staff was singing really loud early in the morning and was rude . Some towels had stains of blood same as the couch had a big stains of who knows what. I asked for extra blankets and was told there was none

The Microtel was convenient and well-priced, but the pullout bed had stains and cigarette burns and the room smelled like smoke even though it was a smoke-free facility. Breakfast was included and basic but decent variety. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. So good value for the cost, discount was given for the awful smoke smell and staff was very polite.

In bathroom: -No soap or shampoo for shower. -Mold on ceiling. -Dirty sink. -Floor not clean.

The price was really good. The views were incredible. And it was very close to Western Carolina University.

Everything was great except the beds were hard as a rock.

Stay was overall good.Plugs would not hold phone caord and were not convenient.

We got the queen suite and it was very big, spacious, and clean. We were there for 2 days and location wise it was perfect for all the visiting we were doing. The breakfast is very simply, they have a waffle machine, basic fruits, cereal, and a coffee machine. The only complaint I have is the lights in the room. That ugly florescent lighting was HORRIBLE! It felt like being in a hospital room. I recommend they have a lamp so the room isnt in bright white. Especially when you are trying to wind down for the night. If they do that change, that would be it perfect!

Arriving at the hotel late at night, the parking lot was well lit, and the entrance was clean. There was damage to a column that appeared to likely be from a vehicle backing into it due to generally restricted maneuvering from the parking spaces. The lobby was clean and orderly and the desk clerk welcoming. The room was extremely dated, but clean. Trim on furnishings was pulling away, and the air conditioner had to be controlled at the unit rather than the wall mounted thermostat, with the controls not very readable, but the air conditioner worked to maintain the room comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the three pillows on the king bed were very plump (struggling with a better description), and not too firm or squishy. There was no ambient noise and sleep was restful through the night. The shower took a long time to get warm, and the drain needed to be cleared. The free breakfast consisted of typical cereal options, make your own waffles, and packaged sausage biscuits that could be microwaved. Unimpressed, I decided to eat at a local restaurant, and also did not try the coffee. For the price I paid for the night, I would stay again. Dated decor has no impact on sleep as long as the room is clean, comfortable, and functional. I would say this stay was very good value for the money.

Online check in was very easy and definitely worth doing. All I had to do was give my name at the desk and everything was all set. The first room we were given had not been cleaned. There was trash on the floor and on the desk, trash still in the trash bags, and hair in the bathtub. It also smelled awful, like someone had smoked in it. I went downstairs and asked to be moved. The front desk clerk was very apologetic and quickly found us another room. It was clean and didn't smell too much. I had read in Google reviews about the smell in some rooms and brought those little air freshener trees you put in cars. Those helped a lot. Heat in the room worked great. Heat in the shower, not so much. I had about 30 seconds of warm water then freezing cold. I mentioned this at the front desk upon checkout and it seemed like they had heard this complaint before. I never could get the TV to work but I brought my fire stick so it wasn't a big deal. Bed was comfortable. Hotel was quiet at night. I was pleasantly surprised by the continental breakfast as there were Belgium waffle machines and sausage biscuits you could microwave. I was expecting muffins and bagels. All in all, not an amazing experience but not a bad one. The staff here is very nice and although that makes up for some of the shortcomings, I would not have stayed another night without hot water. My daughter didn't even get to take a shower.

The best thing about my stay was John. He checked us in and went out of his way to help. The rooms are SO small. TV volume was set too low to hear over A/C. Bed was extremely hard. Saved a few dollars but will not return on my next trip.

The WiFi didn’t work 90% of the time I was there and if it did work, it didn’t reach my room so I had to sit in the lobby to work

The general manager Blake, called up to the room asking personal questions and stating that my friend whom i reserved the room for looked nice. She got scared and i checked her out. And demanded a refund.

This hotel left my door open for ten hours with all my stuff in it. And they did nothing to make up for it. And I never ask for anything. The hot water takes ten minutes to get warm in the shower. And as a side note, they pretty much hinted they have illegals working there. That usually isn’t my business but time to make a phone call. Really dumb business decisions.

Not much staff, the guy that checked us in was the same one that checked us out, he looked exhausted and he was doing his best running the counter and the breakfast on his own. Breakfast selection is small and only instant coffee from a machine is available. Very dirty under the beds. Beautiful location!

The hotel was decent for the area. The sheets were dirty, but everything else was decent. My main issue was that I was told I wouldn’t receive daily housekeeping (which I was fine with), however the next morning house keeping attempted to enter the room without knocking. The only thing that stopped the door from flying open was the two chairs that I placed in front of the doors as safety mechanisms. All I got after that was a yelled out “sorry,” from the house keeper.

Nice new property. Close to freeway and WCU. Very clean.

We’ve stayed here several times and are always happy with our stay. It’s very convenient to WCU for dorm move in/out.

The check in was easy, and the staff was nice and friendly. You are minutes from Sylva and Dillsboro. Definitely will stay there again.

It is super lovely especially for the low price. Very nice bathroom and breakfast, as well as space in the room. Very pretty facility and a bit hidden from the busy road.

The property was very clean. Enjoyed being able to open our window for fresh mountain air. Would have liked hot breakfast food options other than waffles.

Staff was great and friendly. The room was mediocre coffee pot didn’t work, there was black sticky stuff on the floor/carpet. Soap bottle was hanging off shower wall. I was supposed to get two queens but was given a queen room with a pullout sofa… The breakfast selection was horrible. Only had waffles and a microwaveable biscuit for choices of warm food. Checked out a day early and hotel was okay with refunding night I didn’t stay but Expedia never refunded me, won’t be using Expedia again.
