I have stayed here before and never realized that they had a whirlpool. It was nice to use the whirlpool , muchly needed after a day of sitting in a camping chair.

Wonderful Inn. Very nice people. Room held us and our bikes comfortably. Only knock was the room seemed damp and the AC wasn’t wonderful. On the plus side was the pool and the hot tub. The restaurant was very good as well.

The property was definitely older but had a lot of charm. The room was equipped with a small bar fridge, TV and a desk. There was a small dresser, space to hang clothes, iron and ironing board. The bathroom was quite small but worked. The restaurant was great and we really enjoyed the Saturday night prime rib buffet. The outdoor pool was closed but the indoor hot tub and sauna were nice and hot after being caught out in a snow storm. Special shoutout to Patty who was absolutely wonderful!

Wonderful staff at front desk who were helpful and very friendly. This is a quaint Inn, that had a good pool and hot tub. Beds were pretty comfortable but room is outdated. Water stains in bathroom and old carpet on floor in room. Overall not a bad stay.

Place is dated, but kept clean, staff very friendly, need to book sauna, and pool not open yet. Was very close to Upper Canada Playhouse, so we will be back. Hopefully, sink in suite is draining properly. Overall, it was a good place to stay.

Je ne peux pas dire que ce n'était pas propre : c'est sûr que le ménage avait été bien fait. Il reste que tout le mobilier était très vieux, et notamment le bain, qui faisait peur à voir. Aussi : vieux tapis, vieux divan en tissu. Dès qu'on entre dans l'auberge, ça sent fort l'humidité de vieux bois. Même chose dans la chambre. On s'habitue, mais c'est plus ou moins accueillant. À rajouter au prix : petit déjeuner à plus de 40 $ pour deux; pas un buffet, mais deux assiettes simples (bagel au saumon fumé + oeufs et toasts). Ajoutons que nous avons été dérangé pendant une bonne heure, de 21 h 30 à 22 h 30, par des enfants qui criaient et couraient au-dessus de nos têtes sans que personne ne fasse la discipline. Télévision à écran plat, mais pas intelligente (donc pas de Netflix, pas de possibilité de projeter l'écran de notre téléphone non plus). Bele salle à manger et ambiance relax pour le petit déjeuner.

The cleaning lady started vacuuming at 7 in the morning and didn’t stop although it was Sunday. The heater was so loud we had to get up and turn it off. The room was in the lower level and had a musty smell. So we were ready to check out early.

Very nice inn. Very clean. Bed was comfortable. Nice restaurant. Sink was separate from the shower, which I like. The only problem for us were the few stairs to get to the first level of our room. Being seniors, we had some problems getting up and down the stairs with our luggage in tow. It would also have been nicer with an indoor hot tub.

This is an older hotel. It has an interesting layout, took a bit to get oriented. Unique comfortable decor. Room was very quiet. I slept with the window open. No outside noise. Bed was comfortable. The pillows were awful. Didn't run ac so no idea. Bathroom was very small. Functional is kind. But clean. Everything was clean if aged. Restaurant was very good. Needed reservations for prime rib buffet but was available through the regular dining room which wasn't busy. All staff members were great. Friendly and helpful. Good for a overnight stay. No complaints

Washroom was extremely small. Toilet was so low to the ground and was not a highboy. Stairs only to second floor and I am handicapped. They were told that when we booked and we ended up second floor at the very end room. Restaurant was very good.

Place was ok. Registration unpleasant. First thing, the woman informs me, in quasi-accusatory tone, that my MC had refused payment. I asked her to try same card again, and she did then put on an "I told you so" face. My daughter offered that a US card often texts you for confirmation. I checked, and sure enough... My wife then came forward with a card, and the woman said, matter-of-factly, that'll be 500 or so. I raised the issue that Travelocity had confirmed a 150 US, so, even with exchange, we shouldn't come over 350. Then i was lectured that they naturally went by Canadian numbers (which I'd already acknowledged) and that they tagged on a fee just in case. A pleasant person would have simply stated, "There seems to be a problem with the credit card," and offered solutions. Then, even before my question of extra fees, she should've explained what added up t what. As it was, I was being judged from the start by this smug person who was only too glad to find me wanting. And, for the record, I actually am Canadian, living in the US these days - though I held back from joining her sour attitude with an equally judgmental retort.

McIntosh Country Inn was surprisingly amazing and a real hidden gem. The staff were so friendly and accommodating especially the gentleman that fulfilled my request for a quiet and private space for a meeting in the evening I could not take from my room. Also, the riverfront park and walkways are an incredible way to experience a gorgeous portion of the magnificent and historical St. Lawrence River. This was actually a huge surprise for us and a real unexpected treat in the community. The restaurant was also superb with a great and cheap - that’s right cheap - happy hour with $5/$6 pints of beer and the best liver and onion dinner I’ve ever had. And nope I’m not a senior, just love it!

Easy to find off Hwy 2, this property provides a decent, clean, stay. Check-in took a bit of time, but there was a computer system change, so it was understandable. Staff was all very courteous and helpful. Rooms have everything needed and are super quiet. Beds are comfy. We had a tasty supper at the the restaurant (Wing night special and the Chipotle Cilantro Chicken bowl). I would definitely stay here again.

Though it was not walkable, all that we needed was close by car and not high traffic. Good park with path along the St. Lawrence River and historical plaques was worth spending time at.

The property was easy to get to from home in Ottawa, was close to The Upper Canada Playhouse, it had a bar, it offered a lovely Sunday Brunch, all the staff were really nice & helpful and the rooms were comfortable. I would definitely go there again! Thank you!

The restaurant dining was excellent. Great food and great service, reasonably priced. Seems to be a popular patio location. The room was small and modest but clean and fine for two travelers. We found a nice beach and walking path close by.

This hotel is basically the only one in the area. Room price at $145.00 was reasonable FOOD TERRIBLY EXPENSIVE. Fish & Chips $25.00 (one piece) Caesar wrap - $23.00, Fr. Fries $10.00 - gravy $2.50 - its almost as though they double what other places charge
