I gave this location 5 stars as the rooms have been updated, very clean, very comfortable. The service was exceptional. There are a couple of things you should not though. Breakfast is hard boiled eggs, granola, yogurt and coffee/juice. Very odd. There is an amazing restaurant though for breakfast about 1 km away, the Big Bend Cafe (see my review). We stayed in the King Premium room. Zero complaints about the room. A little odd but comfortable (see photos) Quiet even though it is by the train tracks. No whistles. The jacuzzi tub takes a long time to fill but was very welcome after a day of driving. There is no elevator to the second floor. The stairs are very narrow and steep. The light for the stairs is motion sensored, at the bottom, so the only light when going down is the exit sign. The handrail is iffy, just a residential wood rail. I would stay here again but not on the second floor.

We chose the upstairs room with a large sunny balcony. It was a great way to relax with drinks at the end of the day. The room was spacious and well furnished and a lovely roomy bathroom. We were able to walk into Downtown for dinner.

This really is such a quaint motel! Well kept, clean, quiet - a nice little outdoor table area. We were pleasantly surprised and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

This is a quite nice property. Yves (front desk) was helpful and polite. The suite was quiet and clean. A microwave would have been nice, but not necessary. Our only disappointment was the lack of a real "breakfast", just a "snack". We needed something more substantial so had to go elsewhere. Otherwise, great place to stay.

The cleanliness of this motel is absolutely amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a cleaner place. The front desk staff was really friendly and took pride in making sure everything was explained well in a quick manner. VERY impressed overall.

Great location just blocks from downtown. Sadly we found blood stains on our bed sheets which was very off putting. The walls are also paper thin so we got a rude awakening in the morning when the people in the room next to us started stomping around in their hiking boots.

Very clean and well maintained rooms. The bed was super comfortable. Although the room was small it had everything we needed. The motel is very close to the train tracks and there are lots of trains day and night. We used the fan in the AC unit to create white noise and it worked perfectly.

The room was small but very clean. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. I thought it might have been noisy because the motel is really close to the railroad tracks. Although, I didn’t have any issues sleeping and nevwr heard the train. The staff was nice, welcoming and informative. I enjoyed the french vanilla was a bonus, I didn't expect. 😊

A very affordable place to stay. Room was small but clean, well-organized with dresser drawers, shelves, and places to sit. No wasted space! Free breakfast snacks were modest but appreciated. The train tracks are across the road so ear plugs might be a good idea for guests here or any other hotel in Revelstoke near the tracks.

The Swiss Chalet is a nice little motel within walking distance to the core of revelstoke. My only complaint(if it is an even a complaint) maybe comment, is the rooms are TINY! Like NYC small. The room is great for a one night stay for 2 people but any longer and the size may become an issue. Other than that, the rooms are super clean, renovated and beds and linen are awesome!!! Highly recommend this motel.

Overnight stay in Revelstoke on our way to Banff. Great location just off the main street leading in/out of the city. King room was very spacious and comfortable.

I would like to make a special mention for Yves, the front desk manager who ensured that I would be able to check in properly. I had requested for a late check-in since I was arriving after a long drive – he made sure to contact me and ensure that I would be able to enter without any hassle. The rooms are a little small, but extremely comfortable with a short small breakfast. What I love the most is that, unlike most properties, this motel had a small vending machine for juice and coffee, and we were allowed to use it till the front desk was open. Definitely coming back here whenever we stay in Revelstoke.

The Swiss Chalet is a lovely property: very clean and modern rooms, and excellent staff. We booked a king suite which is up 1 flight of stairs above the lobby area. The room was very neat and had the basic amenities. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. They prepare a bagged snack-style breakfast, and have unlimited drinks. There's also a bit of a work station in the lobby, if needed. Yes, the trains do run by the motel but they do that pretty much no matter where you stay in Revelstoke unless you stay out of town. So if you're sensitive to that, be sure to bring ear plugs or utilize white-noise. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Amazing service frim the tine we arrived to the time we left. Everything you could want in a comfortable stay. Reception greeting was excellent and very informative, sorry I didn't capture his name. Check out was as friendly from Theresa. A great place to stay!! Beds were very inviting!!

Convenient location. Bathroom was modern, but the bedroom was dated and looked old and cramped. Parking was convenient. Staff was very pleasant. Motel is on a busy street (which was noisy) and across the street from a railroad track (which seemed very busy and noisy).

The hotel doesn’t look like much from the road but don’t be deceived. The room was beautiful. Small but nicely done! The bed was very comfortable! My only complaint was the skimpy breakfast options. Boiled eggs, yogurt and granola bars were the only offerings.

We have been coming here for years. Our room was on the smaller size but comfortable, and decorated with a modern Scandinavian style. They definitely utilized all the space they have. They have relocated the electrical outlets so they are easy to access for charging multiple devices. We were disappointed that they don’t have the more extensive continental breakfast we enjoyed in the past. There was coffee & tea, hard boiled eggs, small yogurts, and granola bars. A far cry from the waffles, cereals, muffins and pastries they offered in the past. All & all in was a good value.

We like Swiss Chalet and have stayed here often over the past 15 years. But, the prices have jumped significantly, especially when looking at Expedia pricing, and the free breakfast offered has gone downhill a lot - milk only available for coffee drinkers, and no cereal!!!!! Really!

Even tho there is no breakfast mentioned on the website there's actually light breakfast like yoghurt and eggs etc. Drinks also available in the lobby for free. that's more than adequate. Staff were super friendly, both night time and day time. Like the idea of bunk beds, and overall very comfortable.

For what you are getting, there really isn’t anything to complain about. It’s a convenient place if you need a pit stop with friendly and helpful staff. Grab and go continental breakfast. Simple and not fancy - but does the trick.
