Residence Inn Odessa

This is a hotel across from a shopping complex that we assumed would reflect on the Hotel itself. Sewell or Sewell Ford appears to own most of the area by the new cars showcased at the front of the hotel. The hotel itself is yet another victim of many an oil worker in coveralls that has abused the property and an example of hoteliers that have accepted it and have resigned themselves to the damage and have given up. The place is disgustingly dirty and you will smell like a petrochemical plant or oil rig when you leave. It lacks proper cleaning. Of any kind. Did I say “nasty” yet. We slept in our clothes and went to the work location we had to be at and got out of there the fastest that we could. My wife enjoyed killing a roach as I was loading the car. We were afraid to sit on the sofa (smelled like it had been abused in some way and crying out for relief). Will never stay here again and after years of Residence Inn’s have started to rethink my brand loyalty. I doubt the Sewell brand own this hotel chain flag site because this is not their standard. Stay away and sleep in your car and recycle your coffee cup. You’ll thank me. As someone in the oil industry that employs a staff I was more horrified that this is how hoteliers are treating our hard working oil related workers in the field - who deserve better. BTW - we had the largest suite they offer.

We enjoyed our stay. Our only complaint was the shower had no pressure.
