Stayed 2 nights

This property is not as described online. When I arrived I noticed the property appeared to be run down, exterior fire stairs looked like they were about to fall down general building maintenance was poor. I immediately texted the owner back to say I was canceling the reservation. I would not be comfortable staying in this property. I would NOT recommend this location and would suggest removing it from your website!!

I’d never stay here again. There was no staff available to help. The key for my door didn’t work so whenever I left my room I had to leave my door unlocked. I went to the front desk to discuss the key, but no one was there. The room I got looked nothing like the room I booked online. The property is old, but I expected that. What I didn’t expect was how poorly it is being maintained. I imagine management will leave a snarky response to this as I notice that’s how they’ve responded to every negative comment.

Stayed 3 nights

The room was decent although awkward to access hanging things if needed (it wasn't for me). You needed to jiggle the key a lot to open the door and lock it. The TV with Roku, etc. was a good perk. The bathroom (shared) was not cleaned daily and the bathroom sink had a prominent ring around it like a bathtub that's been used for a while and not cleaned. On my last morning, I used the last of the toilet paper and there were no other rolls available to use. The pool and hot tub were not as advertised in their listing. The hot tub does not have any switches to actually use the jets or get heat. I was advised the pool is "cold" hose water and it was not clean - obvious dirt in the bottom. The breakfast area was lacking, even for a continental option. The only options to eat were bread or bagels - no fruit. The bread was in a normal bread bag so any guest could put their hand in the bag (not sanitary). The bagels sat out on a plate with a cover for the entire 3 days I was there - not fresh. There was another plate with a cover but no options and it was dirty. I only saw the owner's wife after pressing the ring bell and asking to see someone because I didn't want to leave my confidential information on a form on their front desk. I was only there after 8 pm each night and left early but never saw the staff except for my check-in. The owners were nice when I talked to them however it was a let down and the fact that there is an additional resort fee is disappointing/unfair.

Stayed 1 night

Piles of dead ladybugs in our rooms. Mouse droppings in the sheets. Peeling paint on the walls. Door to room that won't close and 4 inch gaps on top of the door. $10 hallway closet knobs locking the rooms. Washrooms shared between 3 other rooms with communal towels. Pool is ice cold. Hot tub is not hot. Stairs narrow, creaky and barely safe. All of the 3rd floor including the triple comfort room is an afterthought. Advertised as having a kitchen and bathroom but both are shared with the third floor. Anyone having a shower means the whole third floor has floral steam to share. Couple who owns it seem helpful and friendly, but feels like they're understaffed and do everything themselves. They run a truck rental franchise out of the driveway to help I suppose. Whole place needs a fee $100k to be in good shape. All this and then a $50 administration fee at the end to send you on your way.
