Nice place to stay for a night, close to the main street, yet silent and safe. Plenty of parking.

The Matilda is in a great location to the RSL and only a short drive to the city centre. Parking was easy and the room comfortable.

Great central location for working in Dubbo - easy parking, swimming pool, food options and the reception staff were so friendly and efficient. Really appreciated that.

Had a good stay, first queen room had leaking shower, and Staff promprly addressed the issue, with upgrade to a large beautiful room. Greatly appreciated. Easy parking, parking could do with some shade. Great location good food options all around Enjoyed our stay

Have stayed previously and were very disappointed the restaurant had closed however it is within walking distance to the RSL Club (which also has a courtesy bus for late nights). Has a pool which was very popular when we visited. Enjoyed our stay and will visit again.

We were greeted by a friendly and helpful person at reception, who felt like he was the waiter and cook in the restaurant. I wish I knew his name, however he seemed to be everywhere, and did the job well. The meals in the restaurant were good, honest, and tasty, without being fine dining. There was a swimming pool that was appreciated after a sweltering day driving. The rooms were clean and suited us. We will stay at the Matilda Motor Inn again and hopefully next time an extended stay to be able to enjoy breakfast.

Lovely motel and convenient location. The pool area was a bonus. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended and excellent value.

Required pest controls, found so many pests in the room and in bed.

The foul bathroom water smell meant the bathroom door needed to be closed at all times. The mattress needs replacing as you can feel the springs in your back and is very sagged. Don’t tell people you’re upgrading them when you actually downgrade them. Meaning if we book a room with a queen bed & a lounge don’t change them to a queen bed and a single bed, when it’s a couple. Won’t be back unfortunately.

The room was very clean and quiet and staff very professional, I would recommend this Motel to anyone staying in Dubbo

Upon entering room we noticed a strong smell and then found fridge was left open and the previous people that stayed has left food in fridge Disgusting

1st room given smelt of sewerage, came back to the hotel 41degrees outside, called the after hours as it was 8pm, 2 older guys came they went in the room and said yes its sewerage. Then said to me what do you want me to do? I explained I couldn’t sleep or eat in there please move me to another room or I will get another hotel as I’m here for 2 nights. They found me another room for which I was grateful. The guy turned on the air conditioning and said it will take a while to cool down due to the heat outside, I replied not a problem. At midnight the room was still blowing really hot air. I sat most of the night outside on the chair as it was 29 degrees outside and my room was hotter than that. The next day I left at 5.30 am for work, came back around 2pm again it’s 40 degrees, went to reception and explained my room did not cool down last night, the guy said do you know how to use a air conditioner? He then sent the other guy to my room, he said the remote was stuck on timer he went away and came back 5 mins later. Said he fixed it, it was a bit cooler but not great. Left to go to Forbes returned still not that cold. Left before 6am, would not recommend

The Executive room was spacious and well maintained.

Place was clean, staff were friendly. However the bed was really uncomfortable, and the bathroom was ridiculously small. Not worth the money I paid to stay.

The shape of the room was unique, same for bathroom. The mattress could do with an upgrade and the towels were minuscule.TV had no instructions. Aircon worked well. People were nice.

Our poor experience started when the staff member at reception was rude to my husband upon arrival and rudely told him “you came in at the wrong entrance!” Completely unprofessional, should have been handled differently with a paying guest. Our room (117), was one at the of the units next to the laundry. Triangular in shape, it was small, dark. cramped and lacked sunlight. A pungent smell emanated from the bathroom drain, so the door needed to be closed at all times. When we thought things couldn't get worse, we found the mattress hard and sloped downwards towards the head of the bed. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Spend another $20-$40 and stay so ewhere nicer.

It has been recently refurbished, clean spacious modern

The bed in my room was in poor condition. It was uncomfortable to sleep on as it had a definite dip in the middle of the mattress. Otherwise, it was what I expected for the price.

This motel is good value for money. Very clean, fresh paint in our room, which was pretty sparsely furnished. Yes carpet and bathroom was dated but we are talking budget motel. The bed was firm -ok. Location quiet and we slept well.

The Queen Room was an odd shape and cramped with bed sideways across the room (so as to fit in), an old wardrobe up against a short angled wall and the bathroom door less than 1mm clearance from the wrong-sized vanity in the bathroom. Bathroom barely enough room to stand in and use a towel. Bed mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. Reception was helpful and friendly. Rooms are ready for an update.

The hosts Adrian & Pat were amazing. There was nothing too much trouble. Lovely people. Matilda's is the only place that I will stay in all future visits to Dubbo.

Great place to stay very convenient to restaurants and shops quiet and off the highway

Staff were approachable with any issue no problem. Excellent breakfast menu and again if you want to change anything, it was no problem

I have stayed at the Matilda many times over the years for business and it usually is great however people were roaming around creating lots of noise late at night and I felt unsafe. The restaurant is not open and even the drink machine was non functioning. Sad to see it go down hill as it used to be great.

On site restaurant was covenient, good food & reasonable price. Motel a bit tired but reasonable value.

It was quiet so we could sleep. It was clean. The restaurant info on the web site was inaccurate as it only caters to large groups

Property needing repairs. Dents in walls, vanity basin needs replacing. Bathroom barely functional due to cramped space. We chose this place because it had a restaurant but we were told on check in it was closed.
