Stayed here for 2 nights while exploring Ubud area and loved it! It’s an incredible and beautiful property that is big enough to warrant electric golf carts to get around. They have a spa, full-service restaurant (delicious options for lunch and dinner; also offers a complimentary breakfast and tea/afternoon snack), art gallery, and daily activities (we tried complimentary morning yoga). The staff are so incredibly kind and helpful, can’t say enough. The room we had was spacious, and had a balcony that looked out at the pool (not too populated, so not too noisy in September). The pool was refreshing and clean and we could look out at the surrounding property. The property itself is very quiet and peaceful. It’s about a 20-30min drive from central Ubud so you’ll definitely need to coordinate if you’d like to explore and eat meals off site. They have a free shuttle to town, but it stops running at 4:30pm.

We stayed in Bali for 2 weeks and Ayung Resort was hands down the best from the 5 accomodations we had from Kuta, Ubud to Kintamani! We stayed at their Jungle Villa with mesmerizing views of the mountain, tranquil sounds of the river and singing birds, amazing landscaping, excellent food and afternoon tea at their restaurant Wijaya Kasuma , breathtaking pool, great Spa service - we had 2 therapies and the reflexology really detoxed my swelling leg from salt build up- And the best staff, beautuful smiley faces and courteous demeanor, fast and attentive! We had a real great time at the resort! Thank you Ayung Resort!

It was incredible. Beautiful scenery, friendly staff, great food. Monkeys are everywhere! The only down side for us was that our villa pool wasn’t heated, which we didn’t expect. But that was a very minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of the trip. Highly recommend!

Hotel is built in a jungle setting. The rooms require refurbishment eg the doors and walls require varnishing and repainting. Things like toilets, shower need to go through a replacement program. The gym is very very old and doesn't invite you to spend time in it. Our shower drain was blocked and they couldn't do anything about it. However the setting and staff are the best we've ever experienced!

A great stay. The room adjacent to the pool downstairs was great, the food at the restaurant outstanding. It’s a great resort and thanks to the buggies always available to transport us around the resort we had a very comfortable stay. The spa is also great . The free hotel shuttle to ubud is good but could offer an earlier pick up for those wanting to return to the resort in the early afternoon. Set in the jungle it’s a great resort for relaxation , highly recommended with exceptional service by the lovely staff.

The rooms at the resort were very clean, hygienic and spacious with beautiful views of the jungle. The bed was very comfortable and the staff always had a smile on their face, asking us how we are and about our plans. Very welcoming staff. The Resort was beautiful and well maintained, the Spa was relaxing and the staff were professional and polite. The restaurant had top quality food which added to our experience.

We really love the breakfast and food in the restaurant in the hotel. We had lunch and dinner there too! Top class cooking! The staffs are very nice. The view at the pool is excellent. One down side is the bedding and the room have a damp smell which needs to be improved.

The resort is a bit away from village, as a city man, was a bit worried, but after staying, I feel like the most relaxing holiday that I have never had. Very great nature, nice breakfast view, superb dinner with Bali dance. Just the room was a bit smelly because of humidity, may be not bad to have dehumidifier in the room. Anyway, good place to stay.

Ayung resort was beautiful secluded resort with stunning views. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Staff were so helpful and friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. The restaurant on the property was excellent. They were very friendly and the food was exceptional. The only suggestion I have is they need a little bodega on the property for snacks and essential items guests may have forgotten. We loved staying there and will be back! Thank you for making our first trip to Bali memorable.

Best hotel I have every stayed at. Truly was a 5 star experience, when you arrive they serve you a drink and a scented towel and shuttle you with your bags to your room and give a tour of the room. Our villa had a private pool and there were 7 monkeys outside to greet us which was pretty incredible. The room was clean and spacious. The restaurant was our favorite part of the stay everything tasted incredible. Service was all around 10/10 every worker we ran into was incredibly kind. Would recommend to anyone.

Overall the property is beautiful and an excellent place to relax. Our suite was beautiful with a nice relaxing view of the river valley. As nice as the room was, there were problems with the facilities. No hot water in our suite for the first 24hours and never got hot water in the shower the entire stay. The switches for the room lights were never fully explained and took a long time to figure and locate. Our room cards kept demagnetizing. This made for a frustrating stay and not what you would expect from a 5 star resort. When I broached the issue with the manager he stated that there was nothing he could do to make amends as it was booked through Expedia. The staff however were generally lovely and always eager to help.

The hotel is in a most beautiful area and you are surrounded by nature. The staff could not be faulted on the whole and were exceptional. It is hilly with lots of steps so would not suit anyone with mobility issues. We loved the restaurant and the views at dinner and breakfast were amazing. Our only criticism would be that it is dated in parts. The room needed more plug sockets. The dressing table only had one so could not have hair dryer and lamp plugged in at same time. The hairdryer was old and little heat. They did replace it when I asked but I did not like them questioning why I had a problem with it. However the surroundings made up for the dated areas.

Stay here if you want a relaxing visit near Ubud. Takes an hour and half from the airport and 30ish minutes from the center of Ubud without traffic. The grounds are beautiful. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, ordered a la carte. I had dinner onsite and ordered room service as well. Both meals were delicious and the presentation was beautiful. They offer complimentary tea and small bites in the afternoon. That was enjoyable. I stayed in a room overlooking the smaller pool. The room was basic, but had everything I needed. The only negative was that my room was near the housekeeper room and I could hear them go and out often but I was rarely in my room. I would highly recommend this place and come back and stay in their villas.

The bed was very comfortable and the staff always had a smile on their face, asking us how we are and about our plans. Very welcoming staff. The area was stunning, and the staff were helpful and friendly. We came for our honeymoon stayed for 4 nights, wish we had stayed longer. It’s about 40 minutes to ubud (depending on traffic), but there is a shuttle twice a day from the hotel or grabs are easy to get.

My husband and I stayed at Ayung Resort Ubud for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. We had booked a Valley Pool Villa, but were kindly upgraded to a Royal Rainforest Villa, which was a lovely surprise. The villa was extremely spacious, making us feel tiny. The swimming pool and gardens were immaculately maintained. We used the outdoor pool daily and spent most of our time at the resort, visiting the restaurant three nights in a row. We also tried the complimentary afternoon tea service twice, which was a nice touch because we never experience that in the U.S. The restaurant server, Gosenadi, told us that the chef, a Ubud native, had won a cooking competition in Singapore. It makes sense because his food was way better than what we normally get from a lot of restaurants in U.S. We mainly tried Balinese cuisine, and my husband enjoyed the barbecue pork ribs recommended by Gosenadi and Adreani. I loved the beetroot salad, and the fresh vegetables, which my husband, who grew up on a farm, also praised. Gosenadi informed us that all produce served at Ayung was locally grown. We used the spa, which was reasonably priced and staffed by professional and kind therapists. After our long flights from Chicago (took two days to get there), we needed a relaxation massage. Our room had excellent WiFi, allowing me to work on my laptop without issues. We loved the staff at Ayung Resort the most; they were always smiling and accommodating. We felt treated like royalty.

Absolutely enjoyed being tucked away, up in the jungles, overlooking the Ayung River. The service and the staff were truly amazing. I loved the option to take the free shuttle into the city center daily. I also enjoyed the food!! They had great prices that were comparable based on what you ordered!! I spent my birthday dinner at the resort for their sea food special as well as the traditional dance!! The live music & food was great! Free breakfast options are yummy… I stayed 5 days and would definitely come back!! Thank you to everyone who made my 39th birthday, a great solo trip!!

If we could give more than 5 stars we would. The staff here are so wonderful! Every review I read before we booked this place said the same, and it's true. Ayung Resort is an exceptional property made even better by the truly kind, gentle, competent, helpful, friendly, lovely staff. From our first greetings at the front desk, to the gentleman who brought and welcomed us to our room, to the lovely restaurant staff. I can’t say enough about this resort. My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights and then made our way to Nusa Dua. We felt disappointed in Nusa Dua, because nothing could compare to our experience at the Ayung Resort. There is evident pride in the work these employees do at this resort. While the resort is isolated, coming from the business of Ubud Center, this resort was a tranquil oasis. Thank you everyone at Ayung Resort for making our stay so relaxing and memorable!

Had the absolute best time at Ayung Resort! The staff were absolutely amazing and we loved getting to go to tea time in the afternoon and hang by the beautiful pool. We had a driver, Rena, pick us up from the airport and he was the best tour guide ever —sweetest man ever and we spent the entire next day with him having him show us around the island! Couldn’t recommend him enough!!

It used to take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour & 1/2 to get to Ubud market or center where they have all the restaurants. Very inconvenient.

Stayed here for 2 nights while exploring Ubud area and loved it! It’s an incredible and beautiful property that is big enough to warrant electric golf carts to get around. They have a spa, full-service restaurant (delicious options for lunch and dinner; also offers a complimentary breakfast and tea/afternoon snack), art gallery, and daily activities (we tried complimentary morning yoga). The staff are so incredibly kind and helpful, can’t say enough. The room we had was spacious, and had a balcony that looked out at the pool (not too populated, so not too noisy in September). The pool was refreshing and clean and we could look out at the surrounding property. The property itself is very quiet and peaceful. It’s about a 20-30min drive from central Ubud so you’ll definitely need to coordinate if you’d like to explore and eat meals off site. They have a free shuttle to town, but it stops running at 4:30pm.

The resort is absolutely incredible! The food, facilities, pools, views, staff, breakfast, spa, activities are all 10/10! Really amazing and peaceful! The only thing I would say is that it is quite far from the town, 30mins drive. So its not as easy to just go out and walk around, unless you like rural Ubud. If you wanted to go shopping, it is a bit far away, and getting gojek transport to and from is quite difficult, took us a while. But to be honest, you could spend a whole week just in the resort, its that good. We did not really go out much!

The entire resort is well kept and constantly upday! Gardeners restaurant staff receptionists all were absolutely amazing. Restaurant views were stunning and food was fantastic! The breakfast has many options to choose from! Spa iwaa fabulous and beautifully arranged. We stayed for six nights and enjoyed every minute. Cudos to the staff!

Perhaps the best resort we've stayed at. Extremely hospitable staff. Their restaurant is amazing with great food (& Bali Coffee), service and views of the mountains. Special mention for the restaurant for prepping a breakfast box for me at 2am before the Mt Batur hike. On site spa was incredible and the overall setup of the resort is calm and serene. Highly recommend this resort!

My husband and I stayed at Ayung Resort Ubud for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. We had booked a Valley Pool Villa, but were kindly upgraded to a Royal Rainforest Villa, which was a lovely surprise. The villa was extremely spacious, making us feel tiny. The swimming pool and gardens were immaculately maintained. We used the outdoor pool daily and spent most of our time at the resort, visiting the restaurant three nights in a row. We also tried the complimentary afternoon tea service twice, which was a nice touch because we never experience that in the U.S. The restaurant server, Gosenadi, told us that the chef, a Ubud native, had won a cooking competition in Singapore. It makes sense because his food was way better than what we normally get from a lot of restaurants in U.S. We mainly tried Balinese cuisine, and my husband enjoyed the barbecue pork ribs recommended by Gosenadi and Adreani. I loved the beetroot salad, and the fresh vegetables, which my husband, who grew up on a farm, also praised. Gosenadi informed us that all produce served at Ayung was locally grown. We used the spa, which was reasonably priced and staffed by professional and kind therapists. After our long flights from Chicago (took two days to get there), we needed a relaxation massage. Our room had excellent WiFi, allowing me to work on my laptop without issues. We loved the staff at Ayung Resort the most; they were always smiling and accommodating. We felt treated like royalty.

A sublime hotel, located in the most beautiful surroundings. From the moment I checked in i was blown away by the tropical backdrop and the nature sounds. The room was large and grand, with the comfiest bed I’ve probably slept in. The staff were all fantastic, and made this experience 5* worthy alone. Loved every minute here, and will remember this beautiful place forever! The only negative for me ( to give some constructive feedback) is that the dining menu could be more varied, especially for breakfast. I ordered room service a couple of times and the soup wasn’t that hot. The vegetarian options could also have been tastier and more varied. The gym was quite basic too

Absolutely enjoyed being tucked away, up in the jungles, overlooking the Ayung River. The service and the staff were truly amazing. I loved the option to take the free shuttle into the city center daily. I also enjoyed the food!! They had great prices that were comparable based on what you ordered!! I spent my birthday dinner at the resort for their sea food special as well as the traditional dance!! The live music & food was great! Free breakfast options are yummy… I stayed 5 days and would definitely come back!! Thank you to everyone who made my 39th birthday, a great solo trip!!

Amazing, magical stay in the jungles! We had a huge villa and monkeys visited daily. The food at the hotel restaurant was great, the staff was super attentive, and we wished we could have stayed longer.

Blown away by it so next part isn't to negalate this. Main problem communication ,we didn't know afternoon tea is included so instead of getting to hotel spent it outside ( afternoon tea not great and no vegetarian options) . All the facilities not explained and due to jet lag /heavy wedding never got to grips with geography of hotel and got lost ...not enough signs to location of rooms especially. However after first day didn't bother walking ..just called buggy. Massage excellent. Breakfast for vegetarian cooked selection limited however still excellent. Staff ...amazing , treated like king.
