This property is pretty far out from the island so prepare for a long commute even with the new rail built. The Pool is closed from November to April which was quite upsetting since Expedia showed it was open. It was the only reason I switched hotels at the end of my trip as it was the only few that had open pools listed. It didn't help that the staff reception was instantly dismissive of my question regarding the pool. To Ms Yi or Yu whatever her name tag said with the tiniest of names, you are lucky I didn't chrip back when you loudly told me NO very loudly. The room I stayed in leaked water and smelled of mold. Everything looks new but it was just painted over. The shower leaked by the door and THROUGH THE WALL to the front door. Oozed of the brown rust on a white tile. Sorry to the towel lady for using so many towels to soak up the pools of brown water. My second room only leaked at the shower door like most glass doors do. So I had a bad luck of the draw. On a positive note, the vending machine had decently priced drinks and snacks, (cheaper than 7/11 for a can of coke.) The gym was small for such a large hotel, and there was a lot of terrace space, but no seats. I would probably recommend the Royal Park Hotel over this hotel as it is much newer and better located to the MTR. Also why is the escalator the only way to get in from the street level. Bringing a few suitcases to the main floor from the street was a nightmare.

Stay here for 3 weeks with my family, bed is comfy and room is spacious. 10 mins walk to train station, bus stop downstairs, and many restaurants nearby too. Hotel also offers free shuttle bus service to nearby shopping mall and kowloon. 24 hours gym, nice swimming pool. Staff are all friendly and efficient whenever you ask for something. It was a lovely stay.

Good sized rooms for HK; handy convenience store and McDonald's next door. 5 min walk to MTR and plenty of buses from just outside the hotel. Functional gym, decent pool - but only open from April 1st. Good quality hotel in decent area. Good selection of shops and restaurants in the vicinity and 10 min taxi ride to New Town Plaza for serious shopping.

The hotel is relatively new and being maintained well. The location is just a few minutes walk from the Shek Mun MTR station. The room is clean and spacious. The staff is polite and helpful. The pool was closed during my stay. It is a nice place to stay in as long as you don't need to travel to downtown a lot.

Staff was excellent, friendly and courteous. Room was clean and well kept with housekeeping. However, bathroom/shower stall needs new caulking since quite a bit of areas have embedded molds which, I understand, cannot be kept clean just by regular housekeeping cleaning.

What an utter disappointment. Found cockroaches in the room as soon as we arrived, was a massive hassle just trying to change rooms. Not only that, we went on and found stray body hairs on “new” towels in the next room. Felt uncomfortable during the whole stay, room felt damp and smelly. The lobby and common area stink of sewage odour, and the heavy fragrance they use can’t cover the smell. Told the concierge and they shrugged it off like it’s no big deal, no apologies given.

The interior of the room must have been well appointed once upon a time when it was still new. It is now kind of dated and the desk surface have lots of pits and scratches which made it semi hazardous when you were working on it. This is still a small deal when compared to the totally worn out mattress. Not sure how many years ago it was first put into service but it has been evidently well used. The caved-in is so obvious you literally felt like sleeping in a wok. My wife who has no back issues could not handle it after a few nights and had to end up sleeping on the other end of the mattress which by the way was not much better. I have slept in numerous Marriott brand hotels and this by far was the worst dilapidated mattress that I have ever encountered. I speculate that this hotel is doing a lot of one-off guests so sleep comfort might not be of a major concern to the management, although this is totally unacceptable and unbefitting to the Marriott brand and above all, to what their loyal customers' reasonable expectation.

Hotel was ok - nothing amazing. Concierge - some of staff were pleasant enough but not as friendly as other Courtyards we’ve stayed at ( 2 of the concierge’s were amazing so don’t want to make out they’re all the same ) Rooms were of a good standard and cleanliness. Check in was easy although the $2000 deposit held for 2 weeks after departure was a bit of a shock as I’ve not paid a deposit for a long time ( that’s what a credit card is for I guess ). For a short stay in HK it’s a little far from many tourist spots but for us it was nice to be a little further out and get the MTR to where we wanted. The hotel was great value for money and somewhere I’d consider on a future trip.

駅から歩いて5分くらいで近くにコンビニとマックがある。駅前にはスタバもと朝からやってる食堂もあり便利。部屋はまあ普通であるがマリオット系にしては少しチープな印象、まあ可もなく不可もなくという所。やはり市街から少し遠いので時間は35分くらい要すので少し長いかもしれない。ホテルスタッフの対応は良いと思う、雨で傘を貸してくれたり部屋に氷を持ってきてほしいなど親切に対応してくれた、チェックアウトも時間を要さずロビーは綺麗でまあまあの悪くはないホテルです。

Stayed here 16 nights. Location very convenient to get to places, near a metro station (Shek Mun) and bus routes on door step. Lots of decent restaurants all walkable distance and a MacDonalds next door if you are feeling lazy! Favourite local restaurants has to be Master Congee and Sha Tin Buddies! There are lots of places to eat that suit all budgets.

The room and the hotel are not suitable for business trips. My room was dark around the desk area and the room service or food service operated in very limited hours. If you are there for business and have your own requirements outside of the ordinary, they are not flexible. For example an simple omelette could not be prepared after 10:30am. A burger could not be prepared at 11:30pm.

The property was very clean and we always felt safe there. The staff was friendly and helpful. The maid who cleaned our room was very nice. She really works hard at her job and takes pride in it. I know that this business is in a busy location. But I think they are terribly expensive. From the room rates to the restaurant. Too much money!
