3 day break … hotel was lovely! Rooms spacious and well appointed. Hotel was very close to the centre which made it a great base for eating and drinking as well as site seeing only downside was the parking was very limited.

Mooie, propert kamer in historisch gebouw. Onze kamer was enkel bereikbaar via de trap en daardoor niet geschikt voor mensen met een lichamelijke of visuele beperking. Voor ons geen probleem, wel tip voor anderen. Koffie/thee op de kamer kon enkel uit kartonnen beker gedronken worden en er was niets aanwezig om te roeren.

Lovely quirky hotel. Our room was on a higher floor and while there was a lift the spiral staircase was authentic but not great for people with larger feet! It’s was beautifully furnished and the bed was super comfortable.

Hotel encantador, con parking. limpio y cómodo. Buen desayuno, y trato extraordinario y atento. Se esfuerzan por hacerte cómoda la estancia. Habitación con vista a la antigua iglesia de san Nicolás. Bien situada, con acceso a pie a todo lo interesante de la población.

Déçus par notre séjour. Le personnel de ménage faisait beaucoup de bruit dès 7h30, rendant impossible toute grasse matinée pendant deux matins consécutifs. La chambre a été libérée à 11h et nous ne sommes revenus qu’à 22h, pourtant elle n’a pas été nettoyée : lit non refait et serviettes toujours au sol. Une grue derrière l’église démarre dès 8h (indépendant de l’hôtel), ce qui accentue le manque de tranquillité. Au vu du prix payé, la prestation ne correspond pas aux attentes d’un hôtel 4 étoiles.

Accueil froid et hautain des l'arrive. On a pu m'aider pour trouver un parking alors qu'il y a an 1 au bout de la rue. Aucun renseignements et aucune aide pour le service de bagage. Chambre correcte malgré l'auréole et cheveux dans le lit. Loterie vieillissante. Heuresement le personnel du petit déjeuner et surtout du check out ont sauve la mise. Je m'attends à mieux pour un 4 étoiles ou j'ai quand même l'habitude d'aller.

A lovely family suite, very good value for a modern room. Nice to have the two toilets and separate bedroom for parents. Nice and quiet with quick easy walk to restaurants and the citadel walk. Highly recommend .

We chose this hotel based upon it's rating of "fabulous". This was the worst of the 8 hotels we stayed in Belgium on this trip. We verified the hotel had air conditioning and chose a room that had 2 twin beds. The A/C turned out to be a portable fan. We got a double bed, not very comfortable for tall people. The room was hard to find, and I had to carry suitcases over 4 flights of 5 steps each to get there. The rainfall shower head was too low for a tall person. There is no rooftop terrace as advertised. I could go on, but you get the picture. Would not stay here again.

A lovely quirky hotel with very friendly, welcoming staff and an excellent breakfast (check out the pancake making machine and freshly squeezed OJ!) Suggest booking ahead if you want to eat in either of the restaurants as they were fully booked when we arrived but the chap on reception gave us several recommended lical restaurants in walking distance and then booked a lively little fanily run Italian restaurant for us. Highly recommended and very good VfM

Le personnel à peine aimable et une antipathie mal dissimulé, des voisins de chambre qui vous empêche de dormir jusqu'à plus de minuit en bougeant leurs meubles, insonorisation nulle, nuit laborieuse, prestations chères... barrière aux prolongation de séjour pour que l'hôtel soit libre avec des groupes plus rentables...

Het is onbegrijpelijk dat in dergelijk hotel zo weinig mensen Nederlands of Engels praten en Ik vind het al helemaal erg dat in het overigens uitstekende culinaire restaurant op twee heel jonge mensen na, die een klein beetje Nederlands praten niemand Nederlands of Engels praat.Iedereen was wel super vriendelijk.

3 day break … hotel was lovely! Rooms spacious and well appointed. Hotel was very close to the centre which made it a great base for eating and drinking as well as site seeing only downside was the parking was very limited.

A lovely family suite, very good value for a modern room. Nice to have the two toilets and separate bedroom for parents. Nice and quiet with quick easy walk to restaurants and the citadel walk. Highly recommend .

A lovely quirky hotel with very friendly, welcoming staff and an excellent breakfast (check out the pancake making machine and freshly squeezed OJ!) Suggest booking ahead if you want to eat in either of the restaurants as they were fully booked when we arrived but the chap on reception gave us several recommended lical restaurants in walking distance and then booked a lively little fanily run Italian restaurant for us. Highly recommended and very good VfM

Het is onbegrijpelijk dat in dergelijk hotel zo weinig mensen Nederlands of Engels praten en Ik vind het al helemaal erg dat in het overigens uitstekende culinaire restaurant op twee heel jonge mensen na, die een klein beetje Nederlands praten niemand Nederlands of Engels praat.Iedereen was wel super vriendelijk.

My only comment is that when what appears to be a two people room was transformed into three people room by adding an additional bed, the room became rather crammed. Otherwise, we loved everything - the place itself, the staff, the location. I recommend it heartily.

Rumor has it the hotel is overall a great place. BUT, unfortunately, our room #600 on bottom floor of the new portion of the hotel property, had a severe sewage smell throughout the room, obviously a structural issue with bathroom drains into the municipal sewer system. Definitely not just a “oh you just need to open the windows for a few minutes” kind of problem. The room was uninhabitable thus the front desk staff did process a complete refund. Big hassle as we had to find other accommodations at the last minute.

The staff was helpful, comprehensive about the weather as it was raining so they gave us the room earlier. Everything was perfect, clean, room was great, the bathroom very clean and well designed. The dinner at the Grill was very good with products in season.
