As a solo traveler from the UK to Malta from 19Feb to 24Feb, Urban Valley is recommended. The reception staff are very friendly and gave advice on how to move around the city. My favorite feature was I the free shuttle bus to and from Sliema, Valletta and a bay (at selected times) which guest would need to book ahead of time with the reception due to limited capacity on the bus (8). There is a tennis court, a play centre for kids and a car park. My booking included a buffet breakfast from 7am to 10.30 am. Guest can indicate special dietary requirements. There are 2 clean swimming pools (unmanned/no lifeguard) and a fitness centre with a spa. Guest must pay €0.50 for each day in the hotel subject to a maximum of €5. The room was clean with complimentary bottle of water but a bit stuffy/musty due to humid weather. May I suggest that House keeping kindly air the room by opening balcony doors prior to guest arrival. Also, reception should inform guest that welcome letter and general information are accessed by scanning the QR codes on the key card pack and not assume a tired, traveling guest would already know. This would save them unnecessary phone calls to reception by guest needing assistance.

Notre séjour s'est très bien passé, l'hôtel était très beau, le petit déjeuner au top et les piscines et le SPA super. La chambre avec balcon calme et la literie très confortable, le ménage est fait tous les jours. Possibilité de faire du tennis sur les terrains à proximité gratuitement. L'emplacement est idéal pour faire le tour de l'île en visite. Le parking est gratuit et facile. Juste 2 bémols, le personnel d'accueil de l'hôtel n'est pas très avenant, notre Anglais n'étant pas parfait, on a senti l'agacement lors de nos demandes diverses. 2ème bémol, la pizzeria au bord de la piscine, la nourriture n'est pas bonne et chère pour ce que c'est (une pizza tomate fromage avec tellement peu de tomate que c'était sec et un hamburger avec seulement du poulet pané et du chou sans sauce...).

Really lovely resort. Clean with huge rooms. Good breakfast buffet. Nice spa with sauna n jacuzzi. A bit out of way tho there is a shuttle service which is free. If you want to go out for a meal or buy stuff in a supermarket it’s a mission. WiFi is super so I got lots of work done, as intended.

Had a great stay here. Lovely hotel with good facilities. Amazing breakfast - glad it waa included in the price of our room. Steam room out of order. Sauna took ages to heat up, but I understand why they wouldn't want to keep it on constantly. However, it would have been good if steam room was working and sauna was turned on at the start of the day because i wanted to use the sauna in the morning and couldnt as it took 1 hr to heat up, and we had plans to go out. Overall, a great stay. Would recommend!

La struttura è molto bella, le camere sono ampie e il bagno comodo. Il punto negativo è il personale alla reception che è molto lento (c'è sempre fila e ogni check in richiede almeno mezzora). Per avere un asciugacapelli in camera è richiesto un deposito di 30 euro (!). Il personale delle pulizie è un altro punto debole, non hanno pulito il bagno né cambiato gli asciugamani che erano stati lasciti a terra.

The whole hotel and our room was spotlessly clean, fantastic spa and activities such as archery and tennis. Breakfast has a good range although more hot vegetarian options would be good. We went to the buffet dinner twice - the food was not always warm and was expensive for the quality. Very quiet area but easy to walk to Sliema and nearby areas. Perfect for rest and relaxation. We will be back for sure!! The maintenance and cleaning staff are doing a great job. Thank you!

The really enjoyed staying at the hotel. The feedback I would give is to mop the floor frequently. Due to the dirty floors we had to wipe our feet frequently. The bathroom also didn’t have any ventilation.

The property was kept clean at all times. The entire staff were courteous and professional in their approach. As the hotel restuarant does not have a good vegetarian option, the chef kindly accomodated us by making us a very good penne arrabbiata. Nice hotel apart from the loud noises coming through the ceiling as another guest walked / stomped around their room. We suspect it is an issue of construction and lack of sound insulation but the hotel could not sort it out.

Bel hotel, tout récent, mais quasiment aucun employé ne parle français...mais surtout un tres tres gros problème d insonorite. Si vous comptez vous reposer, changez d hotel. Et l emplacement n est pas extra...juste en face de la rocade. Sinon c est parfait. Pensez à un adaptateur electrique.

Second stay here, both great stays, huge room with great AC. Used the spa which was really nice. Outdoor pool area is lovely and clean. Great breakfast. I would stay here as a leisure traveller. Lots of couples and families here too. Great all rounder

Wifi starkes Signal, Penthouse Wohnung mit allem Komfort und ausgestatteter Küche und Koch Insel. Modern und großzügig eingerichtet und Sauberkeit. Havde et dejligt ophold på dette hotel. Personalet var yderst hjælpsomme og imødekommende. Vores værelse blev opgraderet og hotellets restaurant var lækker. Det eneste minis var sovesofaen. Den virkede ret ustabil og ikke særlig behagelig at sove på.

Lovely place beds are so comfy , staff on restaurant need to be trained , everytime I asked something to do with menu etc reply was oh I will go find out . Reception needs to be better manned especially when busy . We checked in on a Friday evening it was very busy and only one person on desk .who proceeded to tell anyone what a good job he was doing . While checking us in he kept going off and speaking to other people even on way to our room . He needs to concentrate on people he's dealing with .

It’s gone wrong at the first so a bit disappointed at the end. The receptionist was two mens only remember one is Matthew, not helpful at all. It’s not on time for check in,the rooms not as reservations but rathetsay sorry and fixed at first. They told me it’s as it’s, can change until I showed them the reservation

Very much a case of the good and the bad. On arrival the room wasnt ready at 3pm, so there was a slight delay whilst we sat listening to canned music of elevator style. However, the room was excellent and the beds comfy. The breakfast was a very good quality buffet style breakfast with lots of choices. The problems mainly were in the pool and spa area. Hotel stated that the pool and spa area opened at 9am so we went there after breakfast. We could not get anyone's attention to get keys for the lockers despite a lady being on a personal call on the phone. Eventually she came off the phone, no apologies for ignoring us, just a comment that things dont open until 10am and she therefore cant give us a key for a locker. Signage by the pool even confirmed the opening time was due to be 9am, but this grumpy woman was no use to anyone! So we took our belongings through to the pool area to be safer... The sauna was stone cold when we arrived and on departing at 11am, wasnt much better. The jacuzzi was just luke warm but the steam room was at good temperature. Sadly the spa area showers were out of action so we had to keep going back to the changing rooms to shower off before going back in the pool. Also there was no drinking water supply in the spa area. Could be such a nice little spa area, but management and service sadly lacking. Its an easy 20 minute walk to nearby good restaurants.

Unterkunft ist gepflegt und gut ausgestattet. Frühstück fanden wir ausreichend und lecker. Personal ist freundlich, spricht nur zum Teil nicht so gut englisch. Wir mussten für unseren kleinen Hund 25€ pro Nacht bezahlen, was das Hotel nirgends angibt und viel zu hoch ist!!! Umgebung ist nicht besonders. Man läuft ca 20 Minuten zu Restaurants & Bars. Leider ist überall sehr viel Verkehr. Waren aber alles in allem zufrieden.

The resort is located in the center of the island, but you can walk to the promenade or town in 15-20 minutes. The resort is very clean and well maintained. The pools and wellness facilities are very nice and can also be used with a baby. The staff is super friendly and courteous. We felt very comfortable and could go to the staff with any request. The shuttle bus to the surrounding towns is well and safely organized and helped us to explore the island. We can definitely recommend the resort and the island of Malta.

Very clean with friendly staff. Family room was spacious, although a bit awkward to access bathroom through the main bedroom. Not my first stay here, as I find the hotel central to all the places I normally need to visit. Nothing to see/do in immediate vicinity so may not be a good choice for familiar with young children and no car.

Schönes Hotel in ruhiger Lage. Das Frühstück war reichlich und gut. Unser Zimmer war sauber und direkt neben dem Aufzug aber der war kaum zu hören. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zur Küste war es ein ca. 15 Min. Fußweg und nach Sliema 20-25 Min.

Das Hotel ist wirklich top gepflegt und ausgestattet. Das Frühstück für südliche Verhältnisse überdurchschnittlich. Das Personal sehr bemüht und freundlich. Die Lage ist eher ruhig, trotzdem zu Fuß zur nächsten Bushaltestelle nur 2min,in die Stadt ca 20min . Einzig der Shuttlebus vom Hotel ist eetwas unpraktisch, da er zurück nur um 1x fährt..

Stayed at UV just for 1 night as my Husband had a very early hospital appointment. We have stayed before and the standards are excellent in all areas. Breakfast has so much choice. The choice of food around the pool was exceljent too. Will definately stay again.

Overall the hotel, pool, rooms and surrounding was nice, staff was professional, very kind and problem solving. All issues were after short time solved (wifi problem, electricity blackout/aircon problem). Bottled water was not prepared in the room (after asking we got 2 x 0,5l water for 3 persons). Breakfast was every day totally the same and the variety was not really wide. Half of the foods were processed. Overall we were able to eat our breakfast, but for the price we were waiting a bit more. Pools and surroundings were nice and clean. Rooms were cleaned every day and once again the staff was very helpful and kind.

The Property is very nice, Staff are very polite but the food in the restaurant is terrible, the breakfast selection is not up to standard for a 4 star hotel. Diner option as well is not great, the fish option should be removed as it is tasteless and not cooked properly, if the food can be sorted out then it would be great. The half board option doesn’t include any soft drinks not even water which is a bit strange. Otherwise the hotel is good. I had to intentionally miss the breakfast after 2 days and started eating out for dinner once my vouchers expired.

Quiet location but within walking distance of Gzira sea front. Excellent choice of breakfast with daily specials available (options included energy boost, Maltese, squid ink breads, omelette, mexican). Friendly staff who worked really hard to ensure everything ran smoothly.

Bel établissement, propre, bien équipé. Deux belles piscines propre et chaude, seul bémol un petit manque de profondeur (1.30m max). deux restaurants sur le site, l'un en formule buffet qui n'est pour le coup pas d'un bon rapport qualité pris, l'autre à la carte au bord de la piscine très bien (bon et service de qualité). Chambre impeccable, calme, bien équipée, lits confortable, ménage fait quotidiennement. Seul point négatif, l'eau chaude qui prend énormément de temps à arrivée. Le spa est sans aucun intéret.
