The hotel was easy to find and exactly what it says on the tin i love the fact of the gates being closed as it made it feel safe. If any thing the fact the rooms have no drink facilities was a little dissapointing but the host did let me get a tea and take to our room. The dog that is their he is extremely friendly and he came to greet us from our car we loved that.

Pros. Friendly and helpful staff, off road parking with gates locked at 22.00. Room clean with fresh linen and towels. Cons. Restaurant closed for holidays in the middle of peak times. (4 minutes drive to Restaurant or burger King).Noisy neighbours in the next room (past midnight talking and banging the window open and shut). No coffee making facilities in room.

Arrived at the property hoping to get something to eat and drink after a long journey. Was told the bar and restaurant were closed at weekends. It was Friday! Outside seating area looked like it's had been closed for months with no tables or chairs. Rooms were very basic with only one socket to charge phones. No coffee or tea phacilities. If you want poor service with mosquito ridden Rooms then this is the place to stop.

They spoke English which helped. Once we arrived the gate was locked and we had missed the email with instructions and the code but someone let us in. Security is excellent on this site. Cost effective - we had an adjoining room which provided lots of space and meant my husband and I had separate bathrooms! The kids roamed freely and felt comfortable. The room was hot but the open window provided lots of air. We slept OK but could have been better with a double mattress and more pillows. Property was clean and quiet though and just what we needed to rest our heads and change between trips out.

Kamer was ronduit smerig. Overal vlekken op de muren, een beschimmeld douchegordijn en ranzige vloerbedekking waar al lang geen stofzuiger overheen is gegaan. Er hing ook een vieze schimmelachtige geur in de kamer... Het matras was kei en keihard en is beter te omschrijven als een grote plank om op te slapen.De kamer was erg gehorig en het leek wel alsof de buren naast mij stonden te praten. De hal na de entree stonk ook heel erg en de gangen naar de kamers waren ook heel erg vies. De ligging is wel goed en het is een goedkoop hotel, maar het is het absoluut niet waard. Een ibis budget is ook goedkoop en vaak wel schoon (en ligt naast het fasthotel).

I think this is one of the better lower end budget hotels, always seems tidy with clean linen but smells terribly of cigarette smoke and some of the stuff is dated and dowdy, like the shower curtains are past there best, also the shower head rail was worn and just kept slipping down no matter how tight you did it, so i packed it with a piece of plastic and it was ok then. The door into the kitchen could do with a scrub and a lick of paint where the push plate is, it looks filthy.

Chambre plus que médiocre au niveau de la propreté, changement de chambre effectué avec une chambre plus propre mais toujours pas dans un état impeccable (radiateur,douche ,odeur ,moquette etc)

I have award a 5 star based on the budget nature of the hotel. It is great for access to the ferry terminal. Our room was clean as was the bathroom and although compact it provided a good night's sleep at a very competitive rate. The receptionist was excellent (Veronique I think). She was helpful prior to and upon our arrival and spoke English to us as my schoolgirl French isn't up to much! We didn't use the restaurant at all so cannot comment.

Also, das Hotel ist nicht so weit von der Fähre, aber sonst nicht in so einer schönen Gegend. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich genug aber machen schon um 21.00 die Rezeption zu. Kommunikation war aber gut, so dass wir wussten wie wir in unsere Zimmer reinkommen konnten. Die Zimmer sind aber seeeehr klein und eng und es gibt wirklich gar keine Annehmlichkeiten. Wirklich super basic. Die Kopfkissen waren sehr klein und ungemütlich aber die Betten waren sonst ok. Frühstück war unpraktisch da man immer in einen Kühlschrank reinlangen musste um vom „Buffet“ was zu nehmen. Das bedeutet dass nur eine Person sich jeweils bedienen konnte. Der Preis war aber sehr günstig also wenn man nur eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit sucht mit keine Bequemlichkeiten ist es in Odnung. Parken kann man auch umsonst also insgesamt würde ich schon wieder kommen aber nicht um Urlaub zu machen. Höchsten für eine Nacht.

Our window was cracked like somebody tried to shoot a bullet through it. Check-in has a queue when you arrive at 5 o‘clock sharp (hotel doors are locked before) but check-in lady is professional and as fast as possible. Shower gel still was in single-use small packaging. You don‘t hear much of the other guests.

I traveled on the le shuttle. This was very near and not expensive. Veronique was very helpful before and after, with clear instructions and a nice manner. A credit to this hotel. The breakfast bar man was nice to speak to. The star of this hotel is the Labrador that meets you on arrival outside the property. If iam in the area again I will bring him a treat. The hotel has so much potential, but is a bit run down. Shore and sink were not in great shape and the pillows are just two cushions. The room had a strange pine decor. I suspect it’s hiding something nasty underneath. A few broken windows and the sun area has fell to bits. All that said, I would stay again, but bring my own pillows. Thankyou Veronique and the dog. He made our stay memorable 👍

Great staff and easy to get to from main road. Door in room was hard to close. Room had marks on wall. No kettle etc. very basic room however comfortable. Terrible lighting in room. Needs a paint/service renovation. Comfortable and clean bedding but only one small pillow offered. Soap and cleaning bathroom products basic but provided. Cheap stay!

The rooms were small, but clean and tidy. We received a warm welcome by the staff, who spoke good English. The bed unfortunately was very uncomfortable. For just one night to catch a ferry the hotel was a good choice.

Vriendelijke en behulpzame receptie. Kamers niet bijzonder en aan de kleine kant, echt voor alleen slapen of doortocht. Maar de kamerprijs was er dan ook naar. Staat van de kamers niet denderend. Dicht bij de snelweg, wat wel te horen is, net als het geluid van aankomende en vertrekkende motoren en auto's bij kamers aan de parkeerplaatszijde.

Des effluves enchanteresses de parfum dès que l’on rentre dans la chambre, ce qui est très apaisant, ça donne presque l’envie de dormir tout de suite ! En ce qui concerne l’amabilité, je trouve que c’est très important et cela a été parfaitement respecté. J’ai reçu un message quelques jours avant notre séjour des gérants de l’hôtel qui sont aimables et très souriants. En plus, ils nous ont bien expliqué la procédure en cas d’arrivée tardive, des procédures simplifiées et rassurantes. Un très beau chien aussi qui nous dit bonjour le matin. Le seul petit bémol, on s’est rendu compte que le lit était assez dur, peut-être envisager davantage de souplesse et pour la signalétique du parking, il serait peut-être pertinent de mettre un panneau plus lumineux pour le différencier de l’hôtel ibis afin de ne pas se tromper. Des effluves enchanteresses de parfum dès que l’on rentre dans la chambre, ce qui est très apaisant, ça donne presque l’envie de dormir tout de suite ! En ce qui concerne l’amabilité, je trouve que c’est très important et cela a été parfaitement respecté. J’ai reçu un message quelques jours avant notre séjour des gérants de l’hôtel qui sont aimables et très souriants. En plus, ils nous ont bien expliqué la procédure en cas d’arrivée tardive, des procédures simplifiées et rassurantes. Un très beau chien aussi qui nous dit bonjour le matin. Le seul petit bémol, on s’est rendu compte que le lit était assez dur, peut-être envisager davantage de souplesse et pour la signalétique du parking, il serait peut-être pertinent de mettre un panneau plus lumineux pour le différencier de l’hôtel ibis afin de ne pas se tromper. En résumé, nous sommes globalement satisfaits, nous recommandons l’hôtel et nous y reviendrons sans hésiter si l’occasion se présente.

I traveled on the le shuttle. This was very near and not expensive. Veronique was very helpful before and after, with clear instructions and a nice manner. A credit to this hotel. The breakfast bar man was nice to speak to. The star of this hotel is the Labrador that meets you on arrival outside the property. If iam in the area again I will bring him a treat. The hotel has so much potential, but is a bit run down. Shore and sink were not in great shape and the pillows are just two cushions. The room had a strange pine decor. I suspect it’s hiding something nasty underneath. A few broken windows and the sun area has fell to bits. All that said, I would stay again, but bring my own pillows. Thankyou Veronique and the dog. He made our stay memorable 👍

nous avions reçu un mail nous indiquant le code pour ouvrir la porte de l'hotel pour une arrivee après 21 h 30. et un numero de chambre qui devait etre ouverte avec la clé sur le lit. I have award a 5 star based on the budget nature of the hotel. It is great for access to the ferry terminal. Our room was clean as was the bathroom and although compact it provided a good night's sleep at a very competitive rate. The receptionist was excellent (Veronique I think). She was helpful prior to and upon our arrival and spoke English to us as my schoolgirl French isn't up to much! We didn't use the restaurant at all so cannot comment.

Bei der Planung des spontanen Kurzurlaubs in Dünkirchen bin ich auf dieses günstige Hotel gekommen. Es liegt in der Nähe der Autobahn und etwa 10 Minuten mit dem Auto vom Zentrum und vom Strand Malo sur Bain entfernt. Das Zimmer mit Dusche/WC war klein aber sauber (täglicher Zimmerservice) und für meinen Zweck völlig ausreichend.

Check in was quick and easy, the room and bathroom were clean, but the pillows were a disgrace. They were worn out and the filling had all separated, they really need replacing. The restaurant was closed on a Saturday evening, rather strange I thought and there were no facilities to get a drink of any sort, very poor I think, especially when you’re travelling, this really needs looking into, poor customer service. The breakfast was lovely, we really enjoy it. Would I stay again, not sure I would.
