La Conner Channel Lodge

The room is dimly lit. Unable to read in front of the fireplace. No elevator notice until after checkin. Height of bathtub made entry extremely difficult. Breakfast has zero cooked items. All cold items.

I loved this hotel! The ambience in the reception is cozy and the view from the balcony in our room was so pretty. The continental breakfast was a big plus also.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were nice and very polite. If you want your room to be made up by housekeeping you need to ask the front desk. I did ask this but they never cleaned our room. The front desk did give us new towels that evening. Not a huge deal but still... The parking lot is very tight. Parking on the street was easier. We were on the top floor and at sunrise, about 5am, the little birds that nested in the rafters would chirp non stop. It was annoying. The included continental breakfast was okay. My wife says the coffee was good.

Quiet, cozy and lovely property. Easy walk to lots of shopping and dining. Piano playing in the lobby is a nice touch on Friday night.

Nice setting with lovely outdoor sitting areas. Good breakfast. Half the parking lot was roped off at 10:30 on a Saturday night. Front desk staff said it was “reserved.” Still empty Sunday morning. Many hotel guests parked along the street as a result. It was annoying but at least the area was safe.

Not a chain hotel - in a good way. Nice and "not fake" staff. Charming room with a balcony, great view of the channel. Overall building, lobby, waterfront were ship-shape. Contintental breakfast was well-provisioned and coffee was great. Easy (and free) parking.

The was some sort of bicycle event so the parking was non existent. I had to pack my bags half a mile to my room. Then at the crack of dawn there was people stomping around upstairs, got a horrible night of sleep. Worst hotel stay I’ve had in years, and it’s the most expensive place I’ve stayed.

A fabulous facility … clean, comfortable rooms. Located next to the water. Great view. Quiet. Safe parking. Healthy breakfast. Helpful staff. Perfect location for strolling the boardwalk to the shops, galleries, restaurants.

Review of La Conner Channel Lodge – Admiral Suite The exterior of the property is beautiful, and the location is very convenient to everything in La Conner. The seating area in the back is especially lovely and a great place to relax. However, we experienced several issues that detracted from our stay—especially given the high cost of the Admiral Suite. One of the main reasons we chose this suite was the jetted tub, which initially didn’t work. We called the front desk but didn’t receive a timely resolution. Eventually, we went down in person and the issue was fixed—turns out an outside breaker needed to be reset. It would have been helpful to get that information sooner. The room also felt quite stuffy. There were supposed to be directions for operating the ventilation system, but we couldn’t locate them. On top of that, we found ants in the bathroom. Overall, it’s a beautiful place with great potential, but the service and maintenance were not up to the standard expected for the price point.

We stayed here before and loved it. The hotel itself is fabulous and the staff were great, but this time the rooms let us down. It is one of the most if not the most expensive place in LaConner so I expect a good night sleep. The room we booked turned out to have a musty smell so we asked to be moved if any others came available. One did, and that room was much nicer (very quaint and with a view of the channel) so even though it cost us more, we were grateful for the accommodation. However, when we lit the fireplace later in the evening it gave off a horrible smell that quickly filled the room so we had to shut it off and leave both the patio door and windows open for 15 minutes just to get rid of it. The my wife and I spent a very restless night on one of the hardest beds and worst/softest/flattest pillows ever: horrible combination that left our backs and necks sore. When we mentioned it to the front desk they were appropriately apologetic (as I said, the staff were great) but surprised as they told us it was a brand new bed. If so, hopefully it will soften over time (a lot) and they will get new pillows as well as fix the fireplace issue. What was supposed to be a nice and relaxing getaway overnight trip to beautiful LaConner left us very disappointed. Next time we will likely try one of the other hotels.

Love this place but it totally needs to be re done! Room was smelly. really noisy heaters and really low toilets, no microwave! Coffee pot didn’t work!

This hotel was highly recommended to us by family. We were very disappointed. First the jacuzzi tub was filthy. We filled it up and turned the jets on, and a layer of dirt made a ring around the edges of the tub. It was truly gross. Then, my husband tried to use the shower, and the knob was broken. He eventually got it to turn on, but then there was no was no way to control the temperature and it was cold. Lastly, the bed was the worst mattress we've ever tried to sleep on! For a hotel that we expected to be a boutique style stay,(that we carefully selected for our anniversary) it was nothing that we had expected. The only nice thing was the location and view. We won't be staying again.

Nice lodge in a good location for shopping and dining within walking distance. The building had a funny smell in it, the room was small in size, parking was tight and the tv was very small and hard to see from bed. The lobby was nice and the jet tub was a good size. We felt this lodge was over priced for the month of April, but we did enjoy our stay. Probably try a different place next time for the money.

Overall a nice stay. Overall the hotel needs a facelift…everything is a bit tired. While “real” keys are quaint, they are a pain. We had to leave early and hoped to grab coffee before we departed (6am) but there was no coffee…and the coffee shop that was open was too far (walking and we had a deadline to ferry a boat). Bed and pillows were comfortable. Shower wall tiles had mildew. Staff was really nice though and the lobby and fireplace were cozy. I would stay again if I’m back in town.

Read this review and the others before booking. The outward appearance is just a misrepresentation of the actual construction behind the walls and around the pipes. This property has structural flaws that let guests hear everything above or beside their room. Probably only the end rooms on the top 3rd floor are suitable for a couples getaway. The lower floors can hear every creaking step above due to poor construction. There is little that can be done to fix this. What can be done is change the sheet metal sided beds that create a kettle drum affect for you and your neighbors. You come to this property over other competitors for the view of the channel. But they cannot even keep the windows clean. Towels were limited (2) thin ones. Oh and housekeeping missed makeup stains and hair from past guests. The decor has not changed since early 1990’s. Well the kettle drum bed frame seemed newer so just a poor cheap choice by the owners. This hotel was slated to change hands the week after our visit. I hope the new owners can read this and improve at least the decor housekeeping maintenance. This hotel is not worth more than $100-120/night and that’s a shame. It’s located well for the touristy destination of La Conner. We were taken in by the pictures. Should have stayed at the wild Iris inn for our getaway.

Rooms were very nice and clean. Staff was very friendly.

We booked this property last minute and we’re so pleasantly surprised by the beautiful views the cleanliness and comfort of the property. We look forward to coming back and spending a few days here when we have more time

It was a small but cozy room. We enjoyed the fireplace and the views. You can hear the footsteps from above from time to time. But it didn’t take away from our relaxation. All of the shops around are close and there are plenty of choices for dining. We stayed to specifically visit the Sonosphere which was only 4 miles away. We will definitely be back for another stay.

The bed was terrible. We asked them to change a light bulb and they didn’t do it all weekend!

Between the deck, water view and fireplace, this hotel almost becomes the destination in itself. Close to dining, shopping and tasting rooms.

The location of this property is very nice, right on the water and the view was good. I was a little disappointed in the room though. It was quite small and the furniture crowded the fireplace and door to the very small porch. For the price, I was expecting a higher level of comfort. The bed was comfortable, and everything was in average condition, but I have stayed in much nicer hotels costing half as much. It had a small refrigerator but no microwave. The continental breakfast was adequate, but again, nothing close to hot breakfasts at hotels at half the price.

Very nice view of the channel. Room is a tad dated, the toilet/shower is separated from the sink ... odd. Overall nice but rooms could use a refresh.

One room was below a room with a hot tub and the noise was excessive.

We had a corner room on the 2nd floor with a water view. Very large room and clean, but the furnishings are dated. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and the jetted tub. This is a very peaceful place to stay and we will be back!

One of our favorite getaways! The rooms are beautiful and always super clean. The fireplace and jacuzzi tub made it super special. It is a little noisy at times (the upstairs guests were rearranging furniture at bedtime?!) but the charm & location were worth the lack of sound insulation.

Love the jetted tubs in the king suites. Big enough for 2 people!

We got a room with a view of the Swinomish Channel, and it's lovely. There's a gas fireplace, a view of the water, and quiet. The hotel staff is great.

Front desk staff seemed impatient/ snarky at one point when my husband asked which way to our room. Check-in wasn’t complete, so they let him know that after we were checked in they would help him with his question.

The staff at the front desk were rude. On the morning we checked out (4/13/25 at 9 AM) the girl at the front desk was on her phone. I inquired about purchasing their granola and she said, I’m not selling anything right now…and went right back to her phone conversation. We have stayed here many times and the staff is just young and inappropriate.

Wine tasting offered next door at Hellam's was awesome, the Continental breakfast included was very plentiful and the location cannot be beat.

Getaway to PNW and as launch point for ferries to the island, Mt Baker and other lovely destinations. Situated directly on channel, every room has a water view. Quiet. Peaceful. Staff is lovely and friendly. Breakfast (included) was yummy and full of the staples: egg, sausage, fruit, baked goods. Coffee mugs could be bigger for yummy coffee.

Great location with a beautiful view. Just blocks away from everything La Connor has to offer. Right on the water. Room was spacious with room to spread out. Our unit had a nice gas fireplace. Staff was friendly and informative. Strong wifi. However the breakfast is somewhat underwhelming.

Wonderful stay as usual. Cozy warm wood trim old fashioned hotel. On water, cute balcony, cozy fireplace and charming. An excellent continental plus breakfast with homemade granola.

Wonderful place to stay. Comfortable bed and suite with all the amenities. Nice complimentary breakfast. Close to restaurants and shopping. The wine tasting coupon was a nice treat. If I had one complaint it would be the awfully loud noise from the jacuzzi in the room above ours. I would suggest changing your cutoff time to use it to 9:00 pm instead of 10:00 pm. But otherwise I highly recommend this lodge.

We had a quick weekend stay. Loved the community! So many excellent food and shopping options in walking distance. The hotel was really cute with great amenities like breakfast in the mornings, fresh cookies, and discounts for local wine tasting. We’ll be back and will stay longer to explore more!
