The room itself was great. Everything else was two thumbs down. Parking is tiny and if it runs out, you gotta park across the street. My whole point of this location was to have access to the river walk and be able to walk to the Pearl and river center mall since it's right in the middle (distance wise). Since they are in the middle of renovations, I had to walk a few blocks around the hotel to the river. No access through the hotel. I'm sure things will be great in a couple of months when they are done renovating. For now, stay away.

We were lucky enough to stay in the new parts of the hotel— it is undergoing renovation. Room was great: large, clean, modern, filled with amenities. Construction was not noisy so did not bother us, but for people wanting to use fitness center or laundry, those were off limits. The location is fantastic; on Riverwalk, but away from super touristy section. 5 minutes to The Pearl and Museum of Art. Great walkability into downtown without crowds or noise.

It was OK. The pool is small. Parking is $20 a day for hotel guests. There is only one washer and dryer in the entire hotel. I think they are renovating, hopefully this comes with the necessary upgrades and fixtures. Staff is kind and polite. Just some things that could have been better considering the location and the price. It is right on the river walk which is convenient and right near downtown. However, rooms and furniture need some serious upgrading!

The hotel is a very nice property that had some flaws. There are two elevators. Only one was working. The printer in the bujsiness area was inop' The room was nice with an unexceptional bathroom. No fan to remove odors or help in the steaming of the mirror. Steaming wasn't a concern because the designer mirror was almost worthless. The in the frame lighting looked good but a gentleman has a hard time shaving and a lady cannot apply makeup. When looking in the mirror you can tell it is you and that is the best that you can expect. There were other problems with the bathroom and if you really want my feedback, you have my email address.

Major construction all around and inside hotel. Only one elevator was working and it kept getting stuck—while we were on it. We had to take the stairs to the 3rd and 4th floors. We listened to the sound of high pitched saws during breakfast. They really should’ve shut down during this construction process. Also—it was difficult finding the property because of no hotel signs.

Property under remodal, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Spa was out of service. Path to the river walk needs to be cleaned up, revamped. Customer service was absent.

It was ok and decent for the value. Wi-Fi and cell phone reception was poor in our room. Had to pay for parking and breakfast. Staff seemed nice enough. I liked the cleanliness and size of the room, the bathroom looked nice roo. However, the mattress was way too hard and the pillows way too soft, my back and neck were hurting after the 2 nights we spent there. Staff at the front desk was ok, didn't really acknowledge us or smile when we would walk by them. No continental breakfast included, only one restaurant with very limited breakfast options (especially if you don't eat seafood). Hotel is located far-ish from downtown activities and restaurants, be prepared to Uber if you don't have a car. If I ever go back to San Antonio I would stay somewhere else.

The Wyndham Garden hotel was very comfortable. The room was newly renovated, clean, and the balcony overlooked the pool and the river. There was some disorder due to construction, but it was not intrusive. The hotel is very clean, and I watched an employee wipe down every chairs and tables at the pool each morning. All the staff is friendly and helpful. Very nice location to stay out of the hype, but nearby. There are many local bands nearby you can walk to, but they do play till 2 am, which you can hear even with the patio door closed. Not bad when the air conditioner was on, though. I will plan to stay here again.

Hotel is still under renovation. Rooms are nice and new. But walls are thin and can hear footsteps, babies crying and sliding glass door open from other rooms. I was in a connecting room on the third floor. So if I come back, I will request only rooms on the top floor.

My truck was broken into while parked in the lot across the street, which was the lot recommended by the receptionist for parking. Fortunately, nothing was stolen, but I was very disappointed with how the situation was handled. The staff on duty heard and saw the incident take place but did not take any action or contact the authorities. Instead, the individual responsible was simply allowed to leave without further intervention or notification of law enforcement. We arrived at the Wyndham Garden San Antonio after a long, stressful day of travel only to be told that they had overbooked and didn't have a room for us. I booked this hotel a month in advance. They sent me an email an hour before arrival to notify me but because I was driving I did not see it. They left us stranded. Such a disappointing experience. :(

I absolutely loved my stay here. My room was beautiful and the hotel staff were very friendly. I got to meet the GM because I had a problem with my door but she took care of it immediately. Its a walk from all the festivities however, it is right off the river walk and the freeway which was a plus for me.You guys deserve this review. Thanks. I will be back for sure.

The hotel is very nice and clean. The restaurant inside was good food. The staff was friendly. Easy to pay. I also left a day early with no extra charge or fee and received my 1 might refund. The Riverwalk was outside of the hotel but too far of a walk to the food and shops area of the river walk. Walked almost an hour just to get to the tourist area. But it was beautiful. Was woken up Saturday morning to loud construction.

This hotel is very quiet and clean and is a very good place to stay. The food from the restaurant is top notch. However, yes you are getting a hotel that is technically on the river walk but it is not the section of the river walk that is not at the center of all the action. The flip side of that is you can have s section of the river walk that is quiet and not crowded. Another thing is you would think for the amount of money you are paying per night that you would get breakfast included but this is not the case. And I don't know if this is standard in all rooms but mine did not have a microwave. All in all I did enjoy my stay here and would stay here again but it would not be my first choice.

This hotel is literally under construction. Its not a renovation, it is under construction. Dust everywhere, the lobby is being built, the front desk is in a small hallway. Sheets of plastic hanging, tools and building materials. Also I got food poisoning from the hotel restaurant, I should have known better than to eat there. It looks like it will be a nice hotel when it its finished being built. Don't go there now.

Not a bad location, but for the cost, find somewhere else. No breakfast included, on site restaurant is very expensive. No parking available without paying the Hotel an additional fee, on top of the already higher price you pay to stay here. Communication is awful, let them know we were bringing a dog, no response until the second night of our stay to let us know of their outrages pet policy fees... There are definitely cheaper and better places to find, and will definitely never be back to this location...

Extremely nice place to stay. You exist the hotel in the back and there is direct access to the Riverwalk. Restaurant on the premises with amazing food. No need to go out looking for better food. Especially liked the Pecan Crusted Trout and the Blackened Snapper. The rooms are clean and have unique cozy lighting. The most amazing hotel bed you will ever sleep in. Your fur babies are welcome and the Bark Park is a great idea. Complimentary water stations keep you hydrated. The pool is small and lounge chairs are few. Vallet parking is pricey, so know before you go. Will definitely stay here again when I am in the area.
