Nicely removed "classic" 1950's motel with excellent bed and bedding, fireplace, small but functional kitchen. Great outside area including BBQ, hammocks and fire pit. Very "beachy" feel.

Unique & special hotel circa 1914. Taylor, at Reception Desk, made us feel most welcome & special,too! Nice furniture, Coffee & salt water taffy. Whiskey Bar, with other beverages & a minimal menu to accompany drinks… nicely done as well.

Lovely small property within walking distance of the beach. It was so much fun on July 4th with small town parade going right by the parking lot. We toasted smores on the firepit in the courtyard!!

It is beautiful that’s for sure. But there is no waterfront you are several blocks away. Several things did not work or was missing. Patching paint made the walls look unfinished. The claw bathtub was amazing! No elevator was an issue I wish it had been disclosed in their information about the hospital. Having issues with stairs it would have been more enjoyable for us. There’s no fridge or microwave in the room. There’s a “community” downstairs next to the check in desk. And the ice is in the same place but you have to find these things on your own. But then again it’s up and down the stairs for every single thing you need. You need to bring your own steaming stick or tablet/computer to watch their television, they have very few channels. At least that’s all we could get to work. But that is not mentioned in their description either. I know some of these things seem petty, but that would aid people in deciding which hotel they want to stay in.

A great location and fabulous accommodation. We did have to wait about 10 minutes for reception to appear but she was so apologetic and also gave us an upgraded room. Very comfortable bed. No lift so bear in mind if you have a room in the main hotel. Short walk to the most amazing beach.

I booked this room for my parents who were passing through Canon Beach area for one night. The room that they stayed in was extremely mal odorous and not clean. There were fans trying to air the room out with no benefit. In addition, there was a used condom on top of the little couch that was in the room. When we reached out to the hotel staff about these findings there was absolutely no apologies or regret expressed. all they could simply say was we are fully booked and there’s nothing that can be done. We would certainly never consider booking at this hotel again. Although we have stated lots of hotels, I cannot think of a time when I had to leave a negative review such as this however, feel compelled to do so at this time. It appears that some other people have had good experiences at this hotel however, I would say stay at your own risk. The reaction to finding a dirty condom in the room was quite unbelievable in terms of the nonchalance and lack of care.

Very clean and has old world charm. The staff is amazing and they have bowl of saltwater taffy for their guests and coffee and tea. The room I got was very small but comfortable. It was right on the main strip so it was a bit loud but for the lowest price in downtown cannon beach, this was better than expected. The hotel was in the same building as a whisky bar that was quite good. Overall, this is a really clean and basic accommodation that I highly recommend.

The location is great and super close to the beach, it was also close to nearby coffee shops and restaurants. The staff is super friendly and they all were super helpful. We had a queen room and upon entering the room it had visible stained dirty carpet, stained chair, and pillows had yellow old stains. I’m a small person and the shower was very small, the water would splash everywhere. The bed sunk in and it was not comfortable. We are aware that the building is historic, but that doesn’t mean you provide a dirty room. Was disappointed and didn’t think it was a great place to stay.

I was only in town for an overnight on my birthday and could not have enjoyed myself more! The check in process was fast and easy, the price was ore than reasonable and the room! The room was very nice! A gas fireplace, a soaking tub and bed from heaven! My room even had a partial ocean view!

The good stuff: the staff here was wonderful. The location was great. The complaints: the bed was ridiculously high. I had to use a chair to get into it. Probably not how the hotel wants their chairs used but otherwise I'd be sleeping on the floor. I'm 5'-3". The shower: I get that the hotel is old and they want to have a certain "look and feel". However, my house was built in exactly the same year (1914) and there is so much that can be done to provide something functional that maintains the historic look and feel. First of all, there are detailed instructions on how to operate it. Secondly, the previous occupants must have overridden the high temp control because we practically scalded ourselves trying to wash sand off our feet coming back from the beach. (Had not seen the instructions.) Trying to shower in the morning, again, having missed the instructions, I was unable to get the shower warm enough, meanwhile the deluge from the rain shower and curtain that did not remain inside the tile lip, got the entire bathroom floor wet. This is totally unnecessary. Again, there are so many things that can be done with plumbing in old buildings. Even a longer shower curtain or providing a handheld shower in addition to the rain shower - would solve a lot of headache and mess while still keeping with the theme. Not sure if this was just our room, or the main building, or all properties.

Overall very pleased with this hotel. A little worn on the edges but clean and comfortable. I wish they had air-conditioning though. Would have made the stay even better. Location is also quite nice with everything within walking distance.

Lovely quick stay. Nice cottage and was quite simple. Bed was comfy. Bathroom super tiny but it worked. The hotel front desk was very nice. Bistro next door was great! Cottage just need a bit of updating,,,such as good plugs to allow charging of phones…etc. Location is perfect and access to beach is nice.

Excellent jacuzzi tub that can fit two people. Also had a gas fireplace. Comfortable bed and mostly quiet. Also had a small balcony although not much of a view to see. Another thing you don't typically see that was nice, a proper smart TV that lets you sign into your streaming apps. Unfortunately though the TV was slow as a snail, might have been issues with the wifi as we had problems with our phones too. Also one small annoyance, they leave an envelope in the room for leaving a tip for housekeeping. Except housekeeping will not come unless you call and specifically request them every day.

Upon check-in we were greeted by an extremely friendly and cheerful young lady who was very welcoming. She provided us with all of the info we would need to get settled into our room. Our entire visit was very personable and we enjoyed this property very much. We will definitely return!

We arrived in town and I couldn’t find any obvious phone contact on hotel site so I could call. Finally found text they sent me and requested check in that way. Went straight to our event because 20 mins ahead of 4:00 pm check in time room was not ready; waited for notification per hotel that room was ready. Never notified. Staff was very nice however and gave us a bottle of wine to compensate for not being able to check in at check in time. The check in time did impact our event as we weren’t able to freshen up (it was a professional photo shoot.) Room was tidy but not overly clean. Carpet was absolutely trashed. Room was a block away from check in office and on second floor, which made it hard for me as I am mobility impaired. Old fashioned key entry only and no door tag to request maid service — and we didn’t get any! Upon checking out we requested a receipt — they said they don’t do printed receipts and would email it to me. Still waiting. Otherwise they were very nice. There was a cute gift bag for our pet included. No elevator. No view.

Check in at the main hotel was really easy and very pleasant due to Maiya Fabello the Assistant General Manager! Maiya was helping a returning couple before us and she knew them and was eager to have them back. Her approach to greeting, explaining the area, and answering all questions was top notch! It was a cloudy day, but she brightened up our visit, can’t say enough about her glowing attitude. The property was beautiful and exactly what we had hoped for: cozy, clean, comfortable with a kitchen area for cooking, small refrigerator for drinks/snacks and comfortable bed. The real prize was the location not only to either side of the town, but especially to the beach near Haystack Rock! Maiya explained that the area near McBee on the beach wasn’t too crowded and it wasn’t and the view as you walked just a minute from the front door was spectacular! We highly recommend anyone to stay at McBee Cottages, you will enjoy it!

This hotel is in a perfect location just a stones throw from Cannon Beach. The staff were really helpful and friendly and our room couldn’t have been better. We stayed in several hotels along the coast during our trip and this was our favourite. Thoroughly recommend.

The Courtyard location was great. Easy access to the beach and Haystack Rock. The room was very nice, bed comfortable with a fireplace (although we didn’t use it). One thing I would change…. The bathroom has absolutely no counter space. A small ledge or table would definitely be helpful. Great stay, would recommend

Cool little boutique hotel, clean and easy to get to. Easy walk to town and close to Hastack Rock and other places near by. There’s a great bar below, McGregors, brewery across the street with good bar food and another restaurant in front that serves a great breakfast.

What a darling hotel. It’s a comfortable and charming property. There’s a cute bar downstairs that makes for an easy bite and a couple drinks. It’s walkable to the beach but a tic far to the great shops but walkable if you’re more ambitious! We’d stay again.

Very cute hotel with vintage details. Staff was all so friendly and welcoming to me as a solo traveller. Very close to Haystack Rock with beach access right beside the hotel. This hotel is a great fit for solo traveller's and couples, not so much families. The connected whiskey bar was excellent, also within close walking distance of 2 great coffee shops and a brewery.

The property was perfectly located near the beach and Haystack Rock and right across from the Sleepy Monk coffee shop. The room was lovely with a fireplace and comfortable bed. The staff greeted me warmly and was very helpful. Great sleep in a beautiful hotel.

This hotel is in the perfect location and right across the street from sleepy monk (which is a huge bonus). The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable! the clawfoot tub was a nice way to relax after walking the beach all day. I wish that it had a nicer view but that's really my only complaint.
