Eurostars Plaza Mayor

I recently stayed at this centrally located hotel, which is within walking distance of major attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful, the overall experience fell short of basics you would expect from a 4* hotel, especially for the €250 per night as a Platinum Hotels.com customer. The carpark beneath the hotel is convenient but expensive, it doesn't belong to the hotel to be fair. Unfortunately, the hotel had several issues: The hallways were dark, the lift was out of order, and I found ants in my bathroom. Accessing the garage was also problematic, with no lights, forcing me to use my phone’s torch. For the price, the hotel did not meet expectations at all.

Bra hotell. Centralt läge. Trevlig personal som fanns på plats dygnet om vilket är positivt. Saknade bar. Den var tydligen stängd för säsongen vilket inte framgick.

Good central location and walking distance to lots of other amenities. The room was looking tired and in a desperate need of revamping! Floor was dusty, holes in towels, no shampoo… No bar or restaurant facilities, only very expensive room service and mini bar! If you’re looking for luxury this is not the place!

Great stay at the hotel. The room was clean and decorated well. Kettle and coffee available. Unfortunately no English breakfast tea or milk. Start getting to breakfast early otherwise they don't replenish stock. Breakfast finished at 11 and we went down at 10 and anything that had run out wasn't replaced so there were a few things we couldn't have.

Idelement situe dans le centre de madrid. Chambre confortable, vue sur cour arriere pas terrible. Petit dej plutot bon. Parking public collé à l’hotel, mais seulement pour petite voiture.

Very disappointing. Lost money bc we cut our stay short by 2 days as the room was dilapidated. Nothing like the online pics. Baseboards falling off. Exposed nails. Light flickering all day. Wifi sporadic. AC barely worked. Hall carpet smelled. Ongoing construction in front so no car access. Had to wheel our luggage half a block to get a taxi. On the flip side, the front desk staff were very pleasant, understanding, and helpful. They get 5 stars. The property? Barely one star.

Very clean, pleasant decor, comfortable bed, rooms with coffee, safe box , enough storage . The hotel ideally positioned in the city center and easy access to transportation

Virtually no toilet roll on arrival. No towels one day. Did not replenish coffee/tea sachets in room over 4 days

The rooms were very good and comfortable. The lobby needs heating, as it felt cold. Excellent central location in Madrid, very close to Puerta del Sol.

La habitación era amplia y bien mantenida. Las camas son muy cómodas, lo que hizo que la estancia fuera muy agradable. El servicio de internet fue confiable y funcionó bien durante toda mi visita. El hotel está muy bien ubicado y cuenta con varias opciones para comer a poca distancia, lo que hizo la estancia aún más conveniente

I would personally not stay at this hotel unless there was no other option. It looks great on the outside very nice lobby however the room is extremely uncomfortable, the beds are hard as a rock they’re cheap, no pillow top you can feel the springs but worst of all is the climate control you have a Thermostat that is unlike a Thermostat I’ve ever seen you cannot control the Temperature of the room if it’s too cold you have to turn the unit off when you get hot you have to wake up and turn the unit on I brought this to the attention of the front desk and they said oh well that’s our system that’s how it works and we tell you that when you check in, no they didn’t tell me that when I checked in. To add insult to injury I asked for a thicker pillow and what they brought me was a nasty old pillow and I only realized that when I felt really uncomfortable sleeping that night they had two pillowcases over an original dingy yellow pillow that they tried to disguise with two new pillowcases. The hotel is in a good location but like I said earlier there are a lot better options and hotels that take your comfort seriously. Unfortunately a lot of the hotels in Europe don’t compare to a standard room in the United States. Their mattresses are cheap and it doesn’t seem like they changed them very often.

Some rooms a bit dark especially lower floors.

Good location close to Plaza Mayor, not sure but it looks the hotel have rooms for hotel.com or expidia only with a bad view, my was with a parking view entrance not even the street, normally I don’t care I used to this because I booked from hotel.com and if everything else is ok,but this time the AC didn’t work properly, the temperature didn’t go down the whole night, it was like a fan.(warm) I believe I pay to much for the place.

Hotel in posizione centrale, vicino a luoghi d' interesse ed alla metropolitana. Camere standard, piccole, ma comode e ben attrezzate. Personale cordiale e disponibile. Buona colazione.

Locations great, room is a little small

Air conditioning was off, they wouldnt turn it on and the room was hot. Windows didn't open past 3 inches.

We had an unscheduled stay in Madrid due to a flight emergency landing - the staff couldn't have been more helpful and took great care of us in what could have been a trying time!

All of the staff was great, patiently answering questions for us inexperienced American travelers. The room was nice. There is plenty of food nearby...as in right across the street or around the corner, so don't feel as if you need to pay for the breakfast buffet. The metro subway station is pretty close if you are confident enough to navigate something like that in a foreign country. The ONLY bad thing about this hotel was that there seemed to be a bottleneck getting out of the neighborhood in the taxi every time except early morning or late evening. That is not the hotel's fault. It just means the taxi fare is higher due to time spent sitting in traffic. Possibly that happens anywhere near Plaza Mayor.

Os funcionários foram sempre muito educados e atenciosos. A localização é ótima. O café da manhã é muito bom. E o quarto possui todas as funcionalidades para uma estadia confortável.

The front desk 24/7 customer service

El recepcionista del turno de la noche nos ha dado la información equivocada y por su culpa hemos perdido dinero y solicitado reembolso. Las chicas y el chico de la tarde son excelentes pero ponen al pésimo en la noche. No le interesa ayudar sólo salirse del problema diciendo cualquier cosa para librarse.

In the center, close to all attractions. Staff was very helpful. There was a lot of street construction around but that's not under hotels control. It wasn't most anyway

It is located in the heart of the city, busy location but close to (walkable) a lot of interesting places

Overall Nice hotel. During our stay there was construction on the road in front of the hotel. Nearby was a welfare office so had to walk around them. I did not feel comfortable.

Can’t beat the location! Walk straight and you’ll reach Puerta del Sol, turn left and you’ll reach Plaza Mayor, down the block and you’ll reach the Tirso de Molina stop on the Metro 1 (light blue) line which will take you to all the sights in Madrid. The only issue is every morning you have to walk through the corner church giving out food for the homeless and sidewalk can get extremely crowded.

Otimo quarto, camas e travesseiros excelentes. Cafe da manha com ótimas opções. Mas o melhor é a localização, consegue conhecer muito pontos de Madri a pé. E se precisar tem um Metro a 100 metros.

Not aware that street where property is located is under construction, otherwise I wouldn’t book it.

The hotel is fine but the street was like a warzone, dust everywhere, strange people around, etc. The neighbourhood was better years before

Personnel très aimable et arrangeant, bien situé, propre. Transports à proximité (facile d'accès). Quartier un peu bruyant le soir. Petit bémol : le petit déjeuner est servi à partir de 6h mais tout le buffet chaud / salé n'est pas en place avant 7h30 (pendant notre séjour en tout cas). C'est un peu dommage. Mais Très bon séjour en globalité !
