I thought the hotel was really nice, friendly staff, perfect location (food options, grovery stores, park), VERY clean, new and efficient. The small fridge and a microwave are very handy, and thebspace is frankly organised efficiently. The gym, meeting areas, bar, are also very neat. And I think its priced fairly

My apartment complex was nice enough to let me stay at a hotel because the work they did in my place smelled and it triggered my asthma. I decided to stay at the AC Hotel down the street out of convenience. The guy at the front desk was rude, and the floor was dirty and the mirror behind the door didn’t look like it had ever been cleaned. The girl who checked me in was great though. I’m not sure what all the hype is about AC hotels. Definitely not Marriott’s best effort.

Day 1 - We checked into our room only to find the bedroom area clean, but urine was all over the toilet seat, and there was a used towel on the floor in the shower. So after complaining about this we were moved into a different room. Day 2 - We attempted to use the shower in the morning, only to find that the shower was backed up, and so water overflowed out of the shower and on to the floor. We called the front desk at 8:40 am and requested to have someone fix the shower immediately because we were on a VERY tight schedule and needed to take our showers. A maintenance girl showed up at 10 am…over an hour after I called for maintenance. Day 2 Continued - On our way out, we requested (with two different front desk clerks) that our room be cleaned that day. They told us that all rooms are cleaned daily, so there was no need to make a request. We returned that night only to find that the room had not been cleaned at all. Used towels were still on the floor…beds were not made…no new clean towels were left in the room, garbage was still full, and BEST OF ALL, there were combat boot stains left ALL OVER the shower floor, from the maintenance girl who eventually unclogged our shower while we were out. Day 3 - We returned to find that the room had NOT been cleaned AGAIN, even though we (once again) requested that the room get cleaned that day. Day 4 - One of the 2 beds was made…garbage was taken out…but nothing was wiped down at all.

Good hotel but poor management in terms of keeping the hotel clean. The room was not cleaned and tidied up until 4 pm when we had requested cleaning 3 times already, then even after requesting that room was not mopped, it must have not been mopped even prior to our stay as my child' s socks got completely black from dust after walking bare foot on the floor (we take our shoes off in the room) . Did not leave new fresh towels, did not replace with complimentary items, such as soap, coffee, tea or water. The sheet was soiled probably old but still. The seats at the reception area were soiled. Lobby floors were dirty.

This was our second stay at this property and just like the first, the staff were awesome and friendly, everything was immaculately clean. We will for sure continue to stay here when in the St. Louis area. Our room was handicap accessible and it was one of the nicest handicap rooms I have ever stayed in. If there was anything I could say bad, it would be that the blackout curtain doesn’t black the room out.

The hotel is almost brand new, clean and bright, with very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast offered was one if the nicest I have had in a hotel and the croissants were fantastic. The hotel is very well located and within a short walk of restaurants and shops. The only thing I would change is that the bed was too soft and I prefer a very firm mattress. Definitely will stay here again.

first - the staff is excellent and really nice. but i couldn't figure out why my bedsheets and mattress cover didn't stay on, so although i usually don't let housekeeping in so they don't have to re-do everything daily, i did, bc i thought they'd make the bed properly. but after three days of that not happening, and not sleeping bc i was on gross stained bare mattress half the night, i asked the manager - who said oh, must be the wrong size sheets. so they fixed it and i slept great that last night. but had decided to cut my stay short bc of the three nights of no sleep previous. also, there's no free breakfast or coffee, or, you know, cookies or something at check in -- and secure parking was $35 a night, which is INSANE for Missouri, the central west end is NOT that fancy, seriously. those are near SF rates.

I thoughly enjoyed my stay here. The staff were so attentive, warm and friendly. Front desk agent Dorrion (I hope I spelled this correctly) was outstanding. He was so accommodating and helpful. AC Hotel and very lucky to have him on staff. I’d definitely return here due to him. Bartender Miranda is another of the hotel’s gems. She makes great drinks and is lovely to chat to. There was also a very helpful maintence gentleman. I did not get his name. He readily recognised I was having some difficulty trying to get in my room and offered assistance. Not only did he assist with the key access but also said something to me, I don’t recall exactly what, but it made me feel good about mself and not like an idiot not being able to get in when I first tried. The room had everything I needed . In particular I loved the darkness achieved by using the blackout drapes, and the ease of accessing needed items in the room.

I stayed at this property twice over the course of two weeks. Both times, I was surprised by the customer service ethos of the check-in staff. The first time, I was treated rudely by the woman checking me in, and the second time I was behind an Asian gentleman whose native language was not English. I was dismayed by how annoyed the check-in clerk was with his English ability - although I'm sure his English was better than her Chinese - and how little effort she made to ensure that he understood her directions on where the elevators were, what check-out time was, etc. Even I had trouble understanding her because she talked so fast. When I got to my hotel room, I noticed that there was a used washcloth on the floor of the shower left from the previous guest. The shower door is one of those glass doors that rolls along a track, and the stops on either end of the track were set in so far that the door neither opened nor closed properly. The plastic baffle between the fixed and the movable shower doors also made a screeching sound when I opened or closed the door. Neighboring guests probably thought I was torturing a weasle every time I used the shower. In all, the facility was otherwise nice, the hotel is situated close to bars, restaurants, and the hotel district. If it weren't for the staff, I would have given the property a full five-star rating. If I return to St. Louis, I will not be staying in this hotel.

Booked through hotels.com days in advance, the hotel overbooked themselves. I didn’t find this out until I got off the plane and was on my way to check in. I got an email from the hotel, itself, to check in online and to my surprise when I clicked on it my reservation had been canceled. It was not my fault the AC hotel was overbooked, they weren’t even apologetic, didn’t recommend any sister locations for me, nothing. It is also not my fault that there is a lack of communication between AC and hotels.com, had I been told hours earlier that my reservation was cancelled, I wouldn’t even be writing this. Thank you for causing stress at very beginning of my trip. I stay in hotels 100 days/year and have never experienced this.

Staff was extremely friendly and professional, everyone I met was super helpful and more than willing to provide support and assistance where needed. Valet parking made everything so much easier as well. If ever back in St. Louis, will definitely be looking to stay here again.

We arrived early to the hotel, was told to have a seat in the lobby and wait. Wait for about 45 mins, then was told no rooms were being cleaned atm, so we stored our luggage and left to explore the city. Not sure why we had to wait if no rooms were being cleaned. Not a good start, bad first impression, the check in person wasn’t friendly, no hello, first thing she said to me was can I see your ID, everything after that was ok, not memorable. I will say the staff were welcoming (other than our check in person), we we came back for the day we were told “welcome back”. The room was not cleaned on our first full day but probably bc we didn’t leave the room until late. The other days were cleaned.

Not only was this property very clean and beautiful, but what made it 5 star were the staff. Every single one of them went above and beyond, from the valet, the front desk staff and manager Kieth, to the maintenance engineer, even the bar tender. They couldn’t have been any nicer. For this, I will be coming back. We had a situation with a car we just picked up in St Louis that was an electric hybrid. To find charging is not easy in the downtown area. They all helped out and found a solution to our problem. It was a little stressful since this was a high-end Fast car so they kept an eye on it the entire time. We will never forget their kindness and their professionalism. The property is also very beautiful and many restaurants within walking distance. It’s also located in a beautiful part of town.

The hotel has a beautiful lobby/bar/breakfast area. The rooms were simple but modern, elegant and comfortable. The customer services however was top notch. I requested a room change upon arrival because of an additional guest. The very friendly woman at reception quickly made the change with no extra charge. When I came down for a bite, the bartender gave me a complimentary chamomile as I was not feeling well. My one complaint is the "European" breakfast on Sunday. It was essentially coffee/tea, toast, and yogurt.

Gorgeous location. This hotel feels very high end, but I didn’t pay a high end price. I did end up paying for valet parking though. We ate in their bar and the food was really good, but they had love lots of restaurants close by within walking distance. Everyone one was exceptionally nice and the room was spacious, crisp and clean, and all very modern looking. The pictures online are not as beautiful as it is in person.

The only issue we had is that the hotel is on an alley. There is a parking garage across the street and plenty of restaurants a short walk away (if you make it out of the alley). The breakfast was good, but over priced. Overall, a good place to stay.
