A decent road side stay. The rooms have been updated but they feel worn and tired still. The restaurant is closed and the pool is also. It’s much better than when I stayed here a few years ago. But, it’s a stretch for the price compared to other hotel/motels near by.

Overall, room was a very generous size, and we really appreciated that there was no carpeting. Liked the ceiling light, which is a great feature as most hotel/motel rooms do not have ceiling lights. Room was very clean, but some areas are showing its age. The table tops are worn & flooring missing a section (potential tripping hazard). We were only staying one day, but should we have stayed longer extra hangers would have been appreciated. There was only one supplied hanger. We were disappointed that the restaurant wasn’t open on the day we arrived (Sunday) nor was it open the following morning. We had a function at 11:00 am which was the time the restaurant opened on the Monday. We had picked this motel because of the attached restaurant, but never got to use the restaurant. Definitely appreciated that room came with small fridge, microwave & coffee machine. Good to know for future stay. Also appreciated the luggage rack, that is always a nice touch. Also, a folding chair was provided which was definitely handy in bathroom to put extra supplies on when getting ready. All in all, we would stay here again.

Room was dirty. Nothing appeared to be wiped down or cleaned well. Plastic Desk chairs were covered in some kind of stains which could have been easily wiped down and cleaned but wasnt. Bed spreads, tops were covered in pubic hairs and could have been easily cleaned or changed if inspected but weren’t. My biggest complaint was the cleaning. I cleaned it myself since I already prepaid.

Booked this based on the 8.2/10 rating. Big mistake. To be fair, I don’t care about a place being dated as I was just passing through, but it was filthy. The bathroom was not cleaned properly, mystery stain on the bathroom wall, dirty walls in the rest of the room, etc. The bed was so uncomfortable that sleep was limited, and I don’t want to even think about what is on the fabric headboard. That being said, check in was easy and the person who checked us in was friendly. The bottle of water in the room was appreciated. Overall, if you are stuck for a place to stay in Blind River, I recommend sleeping in your car over staying here.

Checked in February 20 (Northern Ontario) there was no heat on in the room!! When you know you have guests coming, turn on the heat for them. Curtains were too thin so all of the outside light from the sidewalks filtered into the room and it was very bright for sleeping.

Only negative was for being off season, all occupied rooms were at one end, close to the highway so heard traffic, smokers (incl pot) talking outside close to our door, and walls are not very sound proof, incl clomping across the floor. The heat in the room was turned off so the room temp was the same as the outside temperature- which was below zero. We would have had to wear our coats for an hour or two until the room warmed up. Consequently we left. I asked the owners to give me a receipt to confirm that we did not use the room and had checked out. They refused to do this. We own recreational rentals in both Canada and Belize. We always turn on the heat or air conditioning before guests arrive.

Not clean at all , no microwave, not hair dryer .. the AC was very noisy and the worst was they got into my room while i am gonfor breakfast at 10 am when the check out time is 11 am .. i came back and my room was open .. thankfully i did pick up my important items with me in my car .. otherwise they could of been lost

Accueil sympa et professionnel. Ia personne a tenu compte de ma demande de chambre éloignée de la route et me l'a fait savoir. Le bâtiment est perpendiculaire à la route donc moins propice aux bruits et il est vrai que l'on n entend rien. La chambre est simple mais propre et fonctionnelle, bien éclairée ce qui est exceptionnel. Il y a de super serviettes de toilette épaisses et douces.
