Great hotel- perfect for our needs - the best location for the quiet beach, restaurants, bars, shops and the start of the hike to vernazza. This location is set away from the station and large number of tourists. It's nice to come away from the craziness of the station and the main beaches to the old town area. We were amazed at how quiet the hotel was given how close it is to the Main Street. The hotel provide towels for the beach, and on the last day we learned that they will also lend out an umbrella to take to the beach too. Wish we had known this at check in. The main beaches charge €40 for two sun beds and an umbrella. The air conditioning makes a water dripping noise but this didn't bother me as I wear ear plugs anyway- however my husband had to buy some ear plugs as it bothered him. The room we stayed in was great and had a nice modern bathroom and a small balcony. The tv didn't really have any channels we could watch but managed to get you tube. I read on previous reviews that the beds can be a little hard so I asked for a padded topper for our bed. I still found myself needing to put a blanket under that topper but that was fine. The breakfast was very nice and you can order either an Omelette or scrambled eggs and bacon. Cute market on Thursday! I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone staying in monterosso. We spent 3 nights here and then stayed 2 nights in Levanto which was less busy and chilled compared to Cinque Terre.

Nice hotel, staff was very helpful (provided a to go breakfast when I had to leave early, with no prompting). Very clean. Shower was small but adequate. No elevator, but staff carried my bags up. Convenient location.

Great staff, Patricia was great! Very convenient, close to everything. Ask Patricia for restaurants in the area, she gave us great restaurants to try. The room I chose a room was extremely small but it was clean. The room looked bigger on the pics. FYI: you cannot park in Monterosso, so there is a parking lot about 1/2 mile from hotel or less. You have to carry your luggage to hotel and the hotel has no elevator. But had a great time is it centrally located.

Hotel was clean and rooms compact. Breakfast had an amazing selection and catered well for out Gluten free friend. Hotel has its own bar, offers beach towels for free. Staff are helpful and friendly. Great location in the older part of Monterosso where all the eateries, shops and bars are. There are steep steps to hotel and several flights of stairs to reach rooms, which wouldn't be suitable for people with mobility problems. Overall a great stay.

Booked this on Expedia specifically because it was the only hotel listed on here as having parking, so as to avoid carrying bags up steps. To be clear: THEY DO NOT HAVE PARKING. You must park in a paid parking lot up the hill, and then carry your bags downhill, and through the alley, then up the stairs to reception, and then up the stairs to your room (no elevator either). So it’s just like every other hotel in the area like that. This place is very much a budget hotel with nearly zero amenities, much like you’d find in Romania on the Black Sea. Room is cheaply appointed with plastic bathroom fixtures, but clean enough, and staff is friendly, but for nearly €300/night, it’s the worst value I’ve ever experienced for a hotel anywhere. They’re simply in business because of the beautiful location, but even the town of Monterosso is pretty worn out and has definitely seen better days, like the rest of the region.

Excellent location! They had an excellent outdoor seating area with beautiful landscaping! The rooms were very nice and they had a yummy breakfast in the morning and great bar service! Highly recommend! Also the staff were very sweet!

This hotel is a great location. Easy to drive to with a rental car. It's a bit quieter so you can walk to the real crowed areas which I prefer. The parking is not included and is 30e a day, Expedia did not mention that in booking, so disappointed. The hotel has a certain smell that was bothersome to my sinuses, but everything else as clean, it is an old building. Would recommended staying here as location is great and staff was excellent.

Excellent free breakfast, and a friendly and helpful staff! The best part was the available luggage storage and shower/changing option after checkout; which allowed us the ability to explore town and spend time at the beach before our train departure.

It was close to restaurants, the beach, the train and hiking but far enough away to be quiet. Breakfast was great especially eating in the shady courtyard. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was especially nice that in addition to luggage storage they offer a shower and beach towels after checkout so you can go to the beach one more time. The only drawback was the way sound travels through the vents in the bathroom from unit to unit.

The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The gardens are lovely and there are plenty of tables to sit outside on the terraces amongst the gardens. Our room was small but very clean and suited our needs fine. The bathroom was very small although clean, but the shower was tiny- anyone larger than petite would struggle to get into it.

Wonderful hotel in Monterosso, nicely situated near restaurants and town but still secluded. Rom was small but clean and well equipped. Excellent breakfast included. Staff were knowledgeable and attentive.

Two major issues, room did not have a frigidaire, lots of ants in the bathroom, other tha that the hotel was very nice and staff were very friendly, included breakfast and hotel offers free beach towel and umbrella overall, happy with ower choice

Very pretty property. Wonderful staff. Outdoor areas to sit. Breakfast was incredible. Unfortunately, the air conditioner made loud gurgling noises. In addition, movement on the bed sounded like rubber. (May have been the mattress protector). Regardless the combination of these two made it very difficult to sleep.

Enjoyed our stay in the room with terrace. Highly recommend that room!!! As for room itself very small. The positives… air conditioning was nice and cold. Bathroom had a window you could open. Good shower pressure. Sheets nice and crisp also clean. Breakfast good. Negatives… Bed was a little hard. There is no elevator so you have to carry your things up flights of stairs.

Nice hotel, somewhat of a hike from the train station. Room was very small. To keep the lights on you have to insert hotel key, the bathroom light stays on when we did that so we pulled the key to sleep but them none of the plugs worked so nothing charged overnight. Staff was very kind! Nice breakfast with price of our room.

The manager is very warm and friendly. Room was large and clean. Breakfast was good. The man who works breakfast was a bit rude- he wouldn’t speak to the women, just the men. Air conditioner was very weak and so was wifi.

The hotel was conveniently located in Monterosso in Cinque Terre. The rooms were small and well appointed but had no frills or extras. We stayed in room 11 which had an AMAZING 2nd floor terrace with great views of the surrounding area. If you are looking for lush or luxury, try somewhere else but if you want convenience, quaint and clean, this hotel is fine.

The manager is very warm and friendly. Room was large and clean. Breakfast was good. The man who works breakfast was a bit rude- he wouldn’t speak to the women, just the men. Air conditioner was very weak and so was wifi.

You better be in great shape if you stay here. You have to walk up a lot of stairs which is super inconvenient if you have anything other than a light carry on. The staff will not help you with your luggage either. The location is great though.

Excellent location! They had an excellent outdoor seating area with beautiful landscaping! The rooms were very nice and they had a yummy breakfast in the morning and great bar service! Highly recommend! Also the staff were very sweet!

Great hotel- perfect for our needs - the best location for the quiet beach, restaurants, bars, shops and the start of the hike to vernazza. This location is set away from the station and large number of tourists. It's nice to come away from the craziness of the station and the main beaches to the old town area. We were amazed at how quiet the hotel was given how close it is to the Main Street. The hotel provide towels for the beach, and on the last day we learned that they will also lend out an umbrella to take to the beach too. Wish we had known this at check in. The main beaches charge €40 for two sun beds and an umbrella. The air conditioning makes a water dripping noise but this didn't bother me as I wear ear plugs anyway- however my husband had to buy some ear plugs as it bothered him. The room we stayed in was great and had a nice modern bathroom and a small balcony. The tv didn't really have any channels we could watch but managed to get you tube. I read on previous reviews that the beds can be a little hard so I asked for a padded topper for our bed. I still found myself needing to put a blanket under that topper but that was fine. The breakfast was very nice and you can order either an Omelette or scrambled eggs and bacon. Cute market on Thursday! I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone staying in monterosso. We spent 3 nights here and then stayed 2 nights in Levanto which was less busy and chilled compared to Cinque Terre.

Wonderful property! Close to town center and 10 minute walk to train station, but still quiet and a bit secluded. Lovely outdoor area with seating, flowers and greenery. Breakfast buffet plentiful with a wide variety of options. The staff were friendly, helpful and very hardworking! We would definitely stay there again!!

Hotel Souvenir was the perfect location for a stay in cinque terre. The location Is in cemttal Monterosa and convenient to the beach. The staff are very friendly and the room clean with a comfortable bed. The breakfast is excellent as well and everything about the hotel was just amazing, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting cinque terre!!!

The lady that checked us in was so helpful and nice. They held our luggage while we waited for the check in time and strolled around and had beach towels available. Also, if you’re coming here don’t miss out on including the breakfast! So many options and everything was incredible.

We really loved this property! Everyone was so nice and friendly. They gave you breakfast which was good, but I would have liked fresh cappuccinos instead of from a machine. Other than that, we had an amazing trip!

Beautiful boutique hotel in an excellent location for exploring the Cinque Terre. Rooms are quaint & comfortable. Wonderful breakfast with freshly made omelets. Patrizia at the front desk was very helpful with local recommendations for dinner. Would highly recommend Hotel Souvenir!

We loved staying at the Hotel Souvenir! The rooms were air conditioned which was so great as we were there during the extra hot days.
