This hotel was a very interesting stay on our trip but for the right person it’s a good stay. If you are looking for a modern feel then I would not recommend this place for you. This would attract someone who is looking for historical value. Parking is available which is a bonus in this area, breakfast is included and was great and staff was helpful and nice. The property is a 10 minute drive from Monterosso square but you have to drive and parking is limited. Also walking would be difficult and far. Overall we had an okay experience here.

This simple hotel, nicely located in the montain overlooking Monterosso, is perfect for visiting the cinque terre while avoiding the crouds of the see side. No luxury here, but nothing missing. The shuttle to go down to the village in the morning and back up at the end of the afternoon is very convenient and avoids the hassle of parking there. The restaurant is nice as well (booking advised if one wants to eat outside)

This is a beautiful former monastery high up above Monterosso. You need to contact the hotel in advance to make a shuttle reservation and they will pick you up near the train station. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar. Most of the other guests were hikers from the trail between towns. We sat outside at sunset with a glass of wine, admiring the beautiful view. While there’s no Wi-Fi or AC in the rooms in the main building, it was very comfortable, clean and quiet. There were large windows we opened to let in the breeze. We stayed with our college age kids who loved the location.

What a lovely stay. This is a former convent. We had everything we needed including a lovely breakfast to start each day. They have a shuttle that you sign up for for trips down to the town and beach. The views are exquisite. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful.

It is a beautiful building, some people would find the lack of WIFI in the rooms as a negative, it didn’t bother me too much, the place was clean but it lacked a/c or fans, and you couldn’t leave the windows open because there were wasp around, it didn’t have hand soap but everything else was fine

This place exceed expectations, the church and naturist vibe were amazing. Who needs a TV or AC anyhow. Amazing views of the ocean, nice outside area with tables for enjoying a bottle of wine and watching the sunset. Went in July and even without AC temperatures overnight was in the low 60F. Close to two trails to Monterosso and Vernazza. For the true hiker who wants to be away from the tourist this place is the perfect fit

Room had no heat. There was no WiFi when advertised there was. Shuttle to town only went to 6 o clock pm so you couldn’t even stay in town long. Driving back and forth was crazy only because you couldn’t even park when down in town. Asked for a refund for days we decided not to stay. They said no.

What a lovely stay. This is a former convent. We had everything we needed including a lovely breakfast to start each day. They have a shuttle that you sign up for for trips down to the town and beach. The views are exquisite. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful.

Room had no heat. There was no WiFi when advertised there was. Shuttle to town only went to 6 o clock pm so you couldn’t even stay in town long. Driving back and forth was crazy only because you couldn’t even park when down in town. Asked for a refund for days we decided not to stay. They said no.

This hotel was a very interesting stay on our trip but for the right person it’s a good stay. If you are looking for a modern feel then I would not recommend this place for you. This would attract someone who is looking for historical value. Parking is available which is a bonus in this area, breakfast is included and was great and staff was helpful and nice. The property is a 10 minute drive from Monterosso square but you have to drive and parking is limited. Also walking would be difficult and far. Overall we had an okay experience here.

This is a beautiful former monastery high up above Monterosso. You need to contact the hotel in advance to make a shuttle reservation and they will pick you up near the train station. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar. Most of the other guests were hikers from the trail between towns. We sat outside at sunset with a glass of wine, admiring the beautiful view. While there’s no Wi-Fi or AC in the rooms in the main building, it was very comfortable, clean and quiet. There were large windows we opened to let in the breeze. We stayed with our college age kids who loved the location.

This place exceed expectations, the church and naturist vibe were amazing. Who needs a TV or AC anyhow. Amazing views of the ocean, nice outside area with tables for enjoying a bottle of wine and watching the sunset. Went in July and even without AC temperatures overnight was in the low 60F. Close to two trails to Monterosso and Vernazza. For the true hiker who wants to be away from the tourist this place is the perfect fit

I didn’t realize when we booked this property just how far outside town it was. Unless you had your own car (we didn’t) once you got there you’re basically stuck there. Little to no amenities. Dinner doesn’t start until 7pm. Internet did not work while we were there. Not a place to stay if you have young children.

Kaldt og fuktig - ingen varme på så det blir «hustrig» inne. Sikkert bra for de som går i fjellet på det varmeste, men ikke å anbefale for andre på tur. Litt problemer med å komme seg til og fra sentrum- dyrt når ikke shuttlebus går. Unngå å spise middag der - altfor salt og dyrt. Svært spartansk frokost - bare hvitt brød,ost og skinke.

Et gammelt kloster med egen kirke. Pittoreske rom med en utrolig ro. Ingen luksus med et godt sted å være. Fantastisk utsikt og en superbra middagsrestaurant. Frokosten er grei. Stedet er en opplevelse som anbefales hvis du liker sjel og ro - og kan klare deg uten luksus!
