Waterview On The Bay

Very nice place. Clean pool. Backyard is nice to have a rest by the lake. Also you have a fire pit and one volleyball park. The VHS movie collection is super nice but we couldn't make it work in the bedroom sadly. For a short term I really enjoyed this Motel.

This was a wonderful motel / little slice of heaven. I felt like i was in a resort away from the city. So many things to do, picnic tables throughout the yard, a little patio, a rec room where we played cards with other guests when the mosquitoes started biting, a little beach to take in the sunset and a pool where i spent most of our time.

Great little spot with lots of place to wander and a private pool and beach! Very clean , great service , quiet too. Definitely stay here again.

Très grand site, accès à la plage, terrain de volley, feu de camp, bbq, salle communautaire, piscine. Les chambres sont propres, mais c’est surtout le site extérieur qui fait le charme de cet endroit.

Outdoor pool and the property grounds are great!

Lovely well maintained grounds. Hot tub was fun. Nice little beach but too rocky for swimming and water view is quite far from rooms.

Was a great spot. Loved that you had an option to swim in the heated pool or the private beach.

We loved our stay here. The pool, beautiful grounds and waterfront were bonuses. The room and quiet area was helpful to our trip. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Our stay at Waterview on the Bay was truly enjoyable. The property offers a stunning view, and the heated pool was a great feature, especially on cooler days. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, making it an excellent place for a family stay, while still being conveniently close to local attractions and amenities.

This is a lovely place to stay. The view is wonderful, nice little beach, clean pool, the room is comfortable and the staff is quite accomodating. I love the balcony for morning coffee. Its is not high end fancy if that is what you are looking for, but it is clean, comfortable and a great place to unwind and relax. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Wiarton.

Le site n’a pas la vue qu’il prétend, nous avions une chambre au sous-sol. Il y avait une odeur désagréable, la chambre est meublé avec du mobilier de l’armé du salut. Il y avait de la moisissure partout dans la salle de bain. La chambre était vraiment humide. Nos bagages se sont imprégné de cette humidité. La propreté est vraiment à améliorer. Le lit était très inconfortable et les oreillers aussi. La tv ne captait aucun poste et le wifi ne fonctionnait pas. La piscine était hors d’usage. Côté qualité/confort/prix, j’aurais mieux été en camping sauvage. Je déconseille fortement cet endroit.

The room was freezing cold. Couldn’t figure out the heating. Sand in the bed, no one came to offer clean towels..I was there for two nights. No new clean towels or new bedding. The room was so tiny, couldn’t figure out how to get the TV to work. Couldn’t find the ice machine or community room anywhere. Was originally booked in room 201 show up and am given room 204. Staff wasn’t on site at all. Not pleased with how much the room actually costed me.

Bathroom very unclean. Had to clean toilet.

This motel is a gem! Very kind staff, super clean room and beautiful grounds. Will most definitely return.

Worst stay of my life. $450 for two nights in a dusty, musty room with towels that smelled like mildew and beds full of crumbs. I had to use my inhaler constantly because of the dust. Then came the nightmare: fire alarms blasting at 9 a.m. for FOUR hours straight. The blonde cleaning lady barged into our room (while my friend was in a towel) accusing us of smoking, then told me to “calm down.” We ate breakfast outside because it was too loud inside. The fire department came into our room 15 times and even admitted the system was outdated. It didn’t end there!!! alarms again at midnight, then again at 7 a.m., and every 15 minutes after that. Basically paid to stay inside a fire drill simulator. When I asked the owner for a partial refund, he argued, made excuses, and told me it was “out of his control.” Sir, you’re the OWNER. Take responsibility. No communication, no customer service, no care for guests. Save your money, save your sanity, and sleep literally ANYWHERE else — your car, a park bench, even the side of the road would’ve been more restful than this place.

Staff in office was lovely, beautiful view from the balcony and kids loved the pool. Shower didn't seem that clean with hair stuck to the wall. People in town were friendly but every place we wanted to try for dinner closed at 5 or 6 and there is no gas station in Wiarton which caused a bit of panic.

I was really impressed when I first walked into the room and saw how spotlessly clean it was. The bed is comfortable and the view of the Bay and backyard is wonderful. The balcony seems quite private, however it is snowing in April so I did not get to enjoy it. There is a good size fridge and you will also have access to the rec hall which has a microwave, toaster, dishes and plenty of seating. The room furnishings are a bit dated, however as I said earlier are impeccably clean. There is also an impressive amount of VCR tapes you can borrow. I am pretty sure the shower had been recently renovated. I was able to control the room temp easily. Check in was easy. The staff is very friendly as well.

Ordered a Queen size bed, got a double. Bathroom had a sink outside the washroom not in bathroom. If you like to watch TV, it was very small. Community room had no books or magazines, only had one ice machine and I microwave.

The rooms were a little dated but clean. Could use replacement of mattresses. Heater was good but noisy, but on balance, an ok place to stay in thr Fall.

What we liked was the view. What we didnot like was room was not as pictures on website were to believe, inadequate parking, park were ever? Security other than cameras limited to non existent. Wanted air condition room had the tiny est air circulator for room never shut off. BATHROOM WAS SO SMALL SAT ON TOILET AND HIT HEAD OFF SINK, AND RIGHT LEG OFF SIDE OF TUB. BATHROOM LIGHTING BLOWN BULB, AND RIGHT HAND NIGHT TABLE LAMP NOT WORKING HAD AN EXTRA SINGLE BED IN ROOM MAKING IT EVEN MORE CLUTHERED NOT WHAT WAS ADVERTISED ON WEB SITE.NEVER ASKED OR SEEM CHECK IN PERSON OR ANYONE FOR THE 3 NIGHTS 4 DAYS WE STAYED AND NO FOOD. HAD TO DRIVE TO GET FOOD 3X'S A DAY, NO SNACK MACHINES OR EVEN POP OR WATER MACHINES. THAT SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN AMENITIES ON WEB SITE. people looking to make reservations at Waterview on the Bay make sure its what you want. We will look elsewhere next year for our vacation in the Georgian Bluffs. Our Rate of the Waterview on the Bay on scale 1 to 10, 10 being worst and 1 being the best outstanding. We rate it a strong 5.if needed anything was told to pick up phone outside of check in office and they would get to us.....Glad we are home after traveling 3 hours to get there and 3 hours back home the stay is memorable but not in a good way.

The room was very small. We had to close the bathroom door to walk around the bed. Hooks on the wall in both the bedroom and bathroom would have helped for clothes and towels, etc. It wasn't convenient to be without a microwave inside the room. But the staff were friendly and accommodating as much as possible.

Rooms are small bathroom doesn’t have a sink the sink is in the main living area the balcony is nice but the chairs are uncomfortable the price is way to expensive for what you get

The property is beautiful with good curb appeal but many areas need updating. The room was very dated with the jetted tub with the only shower being in the room. The carpet was dirty and the deck has seen better days. I was also surprised at check in to find that they charge a previously undisclosed 2% fee for credit cards. It’s an inn/motel - credit cards are a cost of doing business and I’m surprised it’s passed on to the guest directly and without disclosing ahead of time. WIFI was terrible. It was comfortable for a night on our road trip but I wouldn’t want an extended stay.

Beautiful view. Everything good but carpet should be replaced with hard flooring and umbrellas provided for patio furniture.

The staff made some errors and was not present to check us in, however, they were very apologetic and redeemed themselves through their great service.

Uncle Abdullah made sure everything on our 2 night stay went well. He was very accomodating and friendly, as well as the other staff.

Stayed for 2 nights and really liked this property. The grounds are extensive down to the lake front and include an outdoor pool. The room was fine, clean and everything we needed with a good shower. Big shoutout to the owner / manager who was friendly and helpful during our stay.

Super fussy owner ,kept pushing us out of the property giving lame Insurance excuses, doesn't know a bit how to handle his guest , poor host and service.

Just at the roadside of the beautiful Grey Rd 1. This property has its own beach.

The view was amazing, I also liked that it was was not in a highly populous area

Motel with a view of Colpoy Bay. Less than a mile from Wiarton. Enjoyed stay and great grounds that goes down to water’s edge.

This is third time we stayed here, nice location, clean rooms, close to 9 hole Wiarton Bluffs golf course. You can have a campfire (bring your own firewood). Not a lot of choice for Dining out in Wiarton, outdoor restaurant /pub was ok. Hiking trails at Bruce Caves great. Check out Rural Roofz- hiking trails, sound garden, flower gardens, chakra art!!

The property was clean, staff friendly and room nice but limited hot water. My first shower was fairly cold but started to warm up near the end. Parking is limited. I came back and no designated room parking so I ended up parking in the grass to the side very dark there I had to use my cell to see where I was walking. No microwave in rooms. Towels hard, I don’t think they use softener. Normally a towels are new white mine where old and green and few brown ones. Small conditioner they left was half used by someone else so I threw it away. Over staff are great. It’s 2 minutes from closest Tim Horton’s for morning coffee bcz they don’t give sugar or coffee whitener. Hot tub was older and buttons didn’t work first time I pushed them, I hurt my fingers trying to make it work I had to push so hard. Over it’s clean but not my first choice. Oh air conditioner did work amazing in room.

Beautiful place and yard. Attentive host. Too cool for us, to swim, but the pool is inviting. Take note: there is only a microwave/wine fridge in use, a stand up freezer was available, but no coffee machine etc. and absolutely no option for food prep.
