Very clean and quiet near water, pool and fire pit. The beds were small, too small for a couple but great for singles.

Loved the amenities and water sports. My second time here. Some doors and locks need quick fixing but not a big inconvenience. I noticed some renovations compared to my previous time here. Will visit again. Definitely worth the price.

Not what we expected. The photo shows one cabin with deck which gives you impression everyone gets the same which isn’t true and we didn’t have our own barbecue on deck that we did have. Cabins are close together so no real privacy. Check in - you’re supposed to get a code which we never received and had to call a couple of times to get. The cabin we ended up with was small. The washroom was tiny tiny. Like a camper trailer. Can hardly move around. There was no wood at the campfire site as they say one wheelbarrow per night. Had to call a couple of times for that and when they got a hold of someone, he made a comment he was home sitting watching tv as if we disturbed him. the next day we had to ask the maintenance guy again when we saw him there to fill it for our night there again. I find he wasn’t too impressed with doing his job. They say there’s a beach but it’s full of weeds. Not happy with our stay and won’t be coming back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, especially the bonfire and the complimentary water sports rentals.

Use of all equipment and a pool Great resort

There was a hammock which it seems not serviced for ages. Everyone got the infections on their skin who sat on it. Infections are worst and last longer. Please avoid using it. Paddle board was not available as it was broken and not fixed during our stay of 2 nights 3 days.

Nice clean place. Swimming pool was well maintained. Kayaks, boats were very well kept. Overall value for money.

It was great that we had free access to canoes, kayaks, a pedal boat, life jackets, a ping pong table, beach volleyball, badminton equipment, BBQs, and a fire pit, but not having staff on site to address any issues (such as the pool needing to be cleaned) is a drawback.

The whole property seems well taken care of. The pool looked great but I didn’t get the chance to try it out. Bbq was provided. Overall a nice but short stay. I’d come back again.

My stay was fantastic! The accommodation was comfortable and clean, with all the amenities I needed. The location was convenient, allowing easy access to local attractions. Overall, it was a memorable experience that I would highly recommend to others.

We were excited to visit this place for the first time. Really enjoyed the area and around. To bad the lake was full of seaweed. Enjoyed the pool. The room was clean. Some spiderweb. It's normal. Great amenities bbq, stove fully equiped. Beds were confortable.

Our unit had bed bugs! We discovered these unfortunatley only after one night, as no doubt they had been dormant. But upon inspection, it was clear that the infestation was mature . It is hard to believe the owners were unaware of the issue, and still rented the unit to us. We ended up getting a full refund but also had the massive headache of needing to go through strict bedbug protocol for all belongings, car, etc. Disgusting.

Excellent recreational amenities, room door didn't lock when leaving the room. Needs more signage for parking. Heat didn't work as well.

Took our Mom away for a little holiday. Cute little cabin. We really enjoyed our stay. Pool was nice and clean. Would definitely return. Could provide more than 1 wheelbarrow of firewood, need paper and kindling since it is included in your stay, otherwise AMAZING for a simple getaway!!

The cottage was cute, clean and comfortable. Getting the door code ahead of time make check-in super easy, but wasn’t able to find the wifi password anywhere. Overall, would stay again.

We stayed during the off season. The resort was easy to find. Parking is tight but still fine for a truck. We received an email in the morning notifying us of our cabin number & our door code. This information combined with the map that was included in a previous email was sufficient. Upon arrival we found our door was not locked and our pilot light on the gas stove was out. Someone came in good time to fix this for us. We didn’t realize till later in the evening that our door would not lock from both the exterior and the interior. We put the sofa in front of the door for the night for a little piece of mind. Not sure if the batteries were dead but it still didn’t make sense as to why it wouldn’t lock from the interior. This would be one of my biggest deterrents in renting during peak season. The bathroom door didn’t close all the way. The beds were comfortable, the place was cozy and rustic. The kitchen has what you need to make meals. I did wash everything before using. Didn’t watch tv but noticed there were a few dvds. We didn’t use the property because of weather. The walls are not insulated so I could see noise being an issue if you had noisy neighbours. The 400 is close so you may hear that in the summer with windows open. We could hear a bit of traffic with them closed but nothing that kept us awake.

The place was nice and clean, with a lake view cottage in a quiet area close to Balm Beach and many restaurants, including Tim Hortons.

Sincerely, we expected an upgrade to our so small cabin(#14), since the resort was empty. However, we enjoyed our stay because of the 2 canoe trips on the lake, and peaceful time around the pool.

The staff are friendly and approachable.

The cabin i stayed in did exactly what it said on the tin. Pool area was clean and lots to do. My only negative experience was actually at checkin. There was no one there when I arrived. I called the number to get an answering service and no one could get hold of the manager. I didnt know what my cabin # was or how to get in. Took almost 2 hours for someone to finally guess which cabin and gave me a master code so i could get in. Got a call from the manager after i was already in who then texted me all the information that was meant to be sent to.me the morning of checkin.

It was a nice property however there was no dvd player in my room and I could not use the table as the chairs were much lower and I was not able to start the bbq and there was no staff to contact I would have enjoyed my stay more if there were activities and staff on site

No one told me the room number and code until my friend called customer service to get me at 7 pm. It took me more than an hour to get into the room. And the cabin’s location shows the wrong place in the google map . I asked the local people to tell me the right place. Horrible experience

We were provided a text message with the door code prior to check in, the cabin was clean and included comfortable mattresses, cutlery, items for cooking and serving as well as fans in each room. The shower water pressure was lacking but it gets you clean. The management met us shortly after arrival and was friendly, letting our son know there are nets for frog catching with the resident frog "Jeffrey" earning a freezie reward if caught. He spent hours outside catching frogs and fish for the whole trip. You can tell they take pride in the resort, upgrading as they can and choosing options that impact customers the most. Good choice of food options close by (The Galley and The Grill, a coffee house, ice cream shop, 24 hour pizza machine and convenience store) as well as a small beach down the street for kids.

The cottage is very clean. The caretaker that came to check on the air conditioner was very nice. He is very patient on my enquiry regarding wifi and door pass no. The customer service is excellent, two different staff answering and very accommodating.

Clean, cozy cabins. Owners very responsive to questions and requests. Will be back!

The place ie perfect and running by amazing stuff

Property is very clean and well maintained, the only issue was finding cabin #9. Perhaps some more signage in the parking lots to indicate where each cabin is.

Property has nice location , great fishing and boats, nice clean rooms. Have a plan to come again soon

No frills "resort", staff were friendly, grounds were nice, it was quiet and laid back. We rented the studio cabin and it was smaller then expected but for just a couple without a toddler would probably be fine. No towels in the room and no housekeeping. You need to clean up and remove all garbage/recyclables on your own to their dumpsters and leave the cabin the way you came or it says you could be charged a fee. No beach but the pool was refreshing and right beside the bay. Close to amenities and Lock 45. BBQ to use for cooking. Smart TV in room.

Sunnylea Resort is a great place to stay. Accommodations were nice and spacious, you have your own private cabin. The area is beautiful.
