Once again, we were happy to return to this property, and were welcomed by a friendly and courteous staff. For us, its the best value and the most convenient for short stays in the downtown area, directly located a step away from both SM Premier and Limketkai shoppimg malls. The rooms are small, so anybody looking for more spacious accommodation might prefer to look elsewhwre but upu cznt beat the price, in our estimation. The Pancake House next door is open for nreakfast from 6AM. and indoor parlkng on the 2nd floor of the hotel is available.We will be back again soon! thanks for a great stay.

Always a pleasure to return once again to this property. The staff and it's location are excellent: housekeeping was prompt to fulfill requests, and the guard in the garage made sure we had parking despite the fact the hotel was full. Comments I made on previous stays regarding condition of towels and temperature of water seemed to hzve been heeded as both were now fine. The shower stall in our bathroom did not drain easily and we reported this to the front desk. We look forward to our be next stay here.

The latest of many stays at this property which remains my favorite place to stay in CDO, for its location, price, parking facility, and staff. One new addition in the lobby: a free water filling station. This time: there was plenty of hot water in the shower, and the air conditioning was easily adjusted for personal comfort. We mentioned to counter staff that the faucet in the bathroom was faulty. We look forward to returning in 2 months.

This is a no-frills accommodation next to a shopping mall. Very handy to restaurants and transport. The room provides bare essentials but clean. I arrived just before 5am and couldn't be checked in until 2pm. Waiting in the lobby was extremely uncomfortable in the 30-degree-Centigrade heat as there was only a single electric fan for the whole area. I had to go to the nearby Jollibee diner for an unplanned early breakfast to pass away time until the mall opened at 10am. I didn't enjoy waiting in the hot uncomfortable lobby for hours before getting checked-in but the location is best for dining and shopping. If only the lobby is made more pleasant by cooling it sufficiently, it would have been a better experience for me. I stayed for two nights and used it base to visit nearby places of interests. I have stayed both in Seda Centrio and the Luxe Hotel in my previous visits and this is my first in Red Planet. For comfort and customer service, Red Planet lags way behind. You get what you pay for. Luxe was fully booked so I have chosen Red Planet only for its location. For a good and enjoyable experience, stay with the best - either Luxe and Ceda Sentrio.

Arrived to blacked out lobby .. could. It check Dusty highway right outside front door. Noisy traffic rolling maniacally all over. No free breakfast included. Room looks like a frige with a bed. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

Its location cannof be beaten, "sandwiched" between the 2 entrances to SM Mall, a few steps from Limketkai Mall and easy walkable to Ayala Centrio Mall. Rooms are compact, just fine for those who will be out shopping or other activities and use the room just for sleeping. As usual we parked in the hotel garage and either walked or taxied to places around town, thereby avoiding traffic and issues finding parking.

The hotel could provide water to the room for the price of the rooms

This is an additional review to multiple stays over recent years. This property is ideal for those going to CDO for shopping and other business in the city center. The biggest asset is the excellent staff, who always provide friendly and attentive service. Sadly, the same issues continue in the area of the property's condition: towels are still gray, possibly due to improper laundering and eventual buildup of dirt. Air-conditioning units are noisy, and wall controls do not operate efficiently. Additionally, during this stay, no hot water was available, due to a boiler requiring repair. And in our room, the safe was unusable, We strongly recommend management make regular room inspections a priority and, if they have not already done so, make representations to the owners to improve the property's physical condition. With its great location and excellent staff, this hotel deserves to be successful. We continue to support Red Planet CDO through booking there, however the above issues may give some guests cause for not staying there again. Wishing you well in your endeavors.

the place was under renovation when I stayed there. the rooms are very small. first room the AC was not working. they switched our room. sencond roomthe door wouldn't lock. parking is very limited, many things within walking distance. the breakfast provided is from the restaurant outside the hotel. It's a very limited menu and the service at the restaurant is the worst. 40 minutes waiting for a breakfast that was never delivered.We left after 40 minutes of waiting. I would not stay here again. there are many other hotels in CDO in the same price range.

The room had a single queen sized bed and was smaller than I was expecting, but we were only there to rest and sleep so it was fine. It was clean and had nice hot water for showers. The mall is directly next door so that was a big plus. The restaurant Circa 1850, located right in front, had very good food also.

I love the location of the hotel being very central. Been here many times but this time was a letdown. The linens are worn and tired, desperately needing replacement. I showed photos of the torn towels and moldy pillows to the staff at reception who are very apologetic.

The room was moldy and smelling of mold, with poor ventalation, non opening window. Black mold in bathroom in all the corners. Sheets and towels were brown not fresh. The safe did not work but they did replace it. The only good thing was the location next to the Mall and the restaurant Circa food & service was very good.

Location is great, easy access to the mall, groceries. Very accessible to ride going to the airport. The staffs are so amazing. The only negative is the black molds at the bathroom walls and ceilings. That needed to the deep cleaned.

Staff were friendly, room small but leak in bathroom and grey smelly towels was not good. Clean towels and no leak would have been a reasonably good stay and very good value for money

Disappointing property, hard to locate front entry, dirty, broken toilet seat and shower head, no bar soap or hand or face towels; noisy halls, no desk or chairs, crowded with only room enough for the bed

The room it’s not bad ,the bathroom my concern shower glass not clean , bleach your showers room and brush every corner .. no hand towel, no wash cloths .. towels didn’t clean .. I’m the hotel Inspector of Hotel North Carolina .

The staff went above and beyond to transfer me to another room because the AC stopped working.

Convenient location. Mall is practically less than a minute walk. Noisy if your room is next to street. Practically rooms are not noise insulated. You can hear the baby crying in the next room, street hawkers outside. Water pressure is not strong. Shower practically a trickle-depending on time of day. Very attentive and helpful staff.

But great location (surrounded by a big mall!), which is perfect for a night or two. Also great parking options.

This staff was courteous. The air conditioning was not cold in the bedroom The toilet seat in the bathroom had a crack in it. And it could pinch or cut somebody's behind.

The staff were very friendly and very accommodating when I arrived early for my check in. I would definitely recommend this hotel to many of my friends and family traveling to Cagayan de oro.

We had a three day reservation and checked out after the first night!!!! i have traveled extensively and been in hotels, inns, B & B\'s and hostels all over not just Asia, but all over the world. This was one of the worst, if not the worst, property I have ever stayed in!!!! I stayed here years ago and while the facility needed an upgrade then, the staff was so accommodating that it was still a reasonable choice. That is far from true now! The peeling paint/plaster on the walls, A/C unit that sounds like Chicago in the dead of winter and filthy rooms are worsened by an "I don\'t care" attitude. We checked out early and the desk clerk didn\'t even ask why!!! Other couples did the same and yet no one, that I know of, was asked. The owner needs to decide if they want a successful business to be proud of, or a flop house! It\'s just a nightmare, now.

A pleasant return stay, due in part to the excellent, friendly and courteous staff. Water in the shower was hot and strong...so perhaps this issue is now fixed. Slow drainage was easily fixed by housekeeping. Grey towels were replaced by new white ones the aecond day. Looking forward to returning in a couple of months.

Location is very central, next to one of the biggest mall in the city. Staff are helpful and friendly. The housekeeping staff are excellent.

In the heart of Cagayan de Oro, with the main mall and restaurant that opens early for breakfast directly outside hotel lobby. The convenience of this location, along with warm welcomes within the hotel and reception and drivers always waiting outside to offer transportation that can be arranged by hotel, with two preteen children, this place met our expectations for a visit.

I stayed in this hotel many times because of its location. It's close to shopping center and restaurant, and also a walking distance to the Airport shuttle station

The most convenient location in downtown CDO for shopping and dining. And if you're a foreigner and need to visit the Bureau of Immigration you are a few steps away. Staff are always super pleasant and friendly, so it's always a pleasure to go back. There are a couple of areas you need to know about this most recent visit, however. The water was never more than lukewarm ( refreshing for me!) And the a/c was noisy (used ear plugs at night). All in all for the good value and location it's hard to beat. Will go back again
