Jungle Beach Hotel Manuel Antonio

5 mins walk to the beach, decent size rooms, small but clean swimming pool, good drinks and food menu. It's right next to the road, so some people may find it a little loud, but it was good for the cost we paid. One can definitely stay there a couple of nights without much issue. Their front-desk manager, Leo, is a hilarious and very helpful guy. He helped us with our ATV and Park bookings.

Jungle Beach Hotel – Manuel Antonio Great value and perfect location! The hotel has a restaurant and bar on site, which makes life easy after a beach day. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Manuel Antonio National Park—honestly easier than trying to drive and deal with the parking circus. The beach is right across the street, and for $20 you can rent an umbrella and chairs for the whole day. There’s even a beach bar with good food and drinks, so you can park yourself there and call it a day. Some of our favorite nearby restaurants were Samui Thai, Clara Qui Si, and the little local spot Dónde Alex, Overall, an awesome place for the price—comfortable, convenient, and full of charm. Would absolutely stay again.

A lot of steps. No restaurant or pool. Those areas are being renovated and wasn’t informed until check in.

The pool was much smaller than the pictures make it appear but did have a nice shallow area for our 14mo old but dropped off to very deep. The shower temperature could not be controlled and was very hot. The restaurant on-site was not great but worked for the night we got in and we’re too exhausted to go out. The majority of staff were friendly. The best part was seeing monkeys all around the hotel! We heard the howler monkeys in the early morning hours very clearly. Overall, nothing fancy but worked out really well for our family. I would stay there again.

The staff at this hotel were extremely attentive and friendly. They helped us book taxis to a restaurant in town, made sure our tour bus was coming when it was running late, and guided the pizza delivery person to the pool where we were trying to stay cool in the shade! Bar/restaurant service was pretty slow, but we were never in a hurry so didn't bother us too much. Bed mattresses were very firm. Be careful walking around the property though, as the concrete and gravel paths were uneven and we had to watch our step, especially after sunset. Monkeys at breakfast were the highlight and the beach was within walking distance.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are decent but no hot water. Close to the beach shopping bars and restaurants with easy transportation into town if you so desire. Restaurant and pool area is nice and monkeys come to visit. You also hear them howling in the morning lol

The room was fine, overall, but the bathroom with the shower did not have a door, so there was no privacy from the family unless you lock them out of the bedroom space, which is ridiculous. Walls were patched, looks like a skylight was covered with metal covering. It was clean, beds were comfortable but the location of the hotel-right off of the main road and old windows means it’s extremely loud. I had to walk around to see if any windows were open (they weren’t). The hotel advertises washer/dryer but that is incorrect. They send out the laundry, which you need to wait a day to get back and is costly. Note that despite it being near the beach, they do not provide beach towels, forcing you to rent a chair or purchase an overpriced, extremely cheap towel from a souvenir shop. I suspect this is standard in the area because I saw many tourists with the same towels. The power went out (I hear its common) and I needed to get something from front desk that was left for me, only to find that the front desk was locked and no one could be found. No one working could help. I was getting picked up to leave for the airport, so I had to leave without retrieving what was left. For those staying, be prepared to climb many stairs, there are no ramps and if you have heavy luggage, you will need to manage that. The pool area is nice but as it’s also where the restaurant is, it’s not relaxing.

Adrian el recepcinista de la tarde me dio todos los tips para bajar la app y comprar el ticket e informacion de como llegar a la playa y al parque nacional Manuel Antonio. Me dieron una buena habitacion. Me dieron desayuno por la remodelacion.

Nosotros reservamos la casa con supuesto acceso privado a la playa, pagamos el equivalente a 1300 dólares por cuatro días. El supuesto acceso privado a la playa es un sendero en mal estado que sale a un canal que hay que brincar para salir a un espacio de playa que no es conveniente para niños, Resulta que la casa "no la limpian diario" como sería en un hotel normal, así que el huesped tiene que hacer su propia limpieza. Pos si fuera poco, un día descubrimos una rata muerta ahi en el patio de la alberca, la que ya tenía olor fétido y estaba en descomposición, pero ellos no la fueron a quitar sino hasta que les hablamos para reclamar y todavia me dijeron "pues no es mi culpa que haya una rata muerta, si quiere... se la quito"

Our room smelt like sewage. When we brought it to their attention they sent someone in they dumped something down the drain and it smelt fine then 2 hours later it smelt again.. this process was repeated twice. They never offered a room switch or anything. I then went to ask for another coffee pod for the keurig machine in the room and they charged me for it. The location was good, close to everything and the staff at the restaurant were nice.

We loved our stay at this property! The staff were all very kind and accommodating. While the rooms weren’t anything special, they were clean and the beds were comfy. We saw sooooooo much wildlife from the hotel, much more than in the park itself. And the beach was an easy three minute walk.

Room 8 was wet and smelly with a moldy wall. No murals in this room and broken bathroom fan. Worst hotel room in memory. The staff was wonderful and tried to clean, but the owner was unreachable and there were no empty rooms to switch to. Love the staff, pool and bar/restaurant. They should not rent room 8 out. Yuk

Very close to the beach, within walking distance. The rooms are clean & the bed is comfortable. It’s very convenient the location! I booked because it said breakfast was included but it was not. You can find cheaper places or other hotels with breakfast included.

National park was near by. Rooms were clean but dated/a bit rundown. Windows and walls were paper thin. You could hear every vehicle going past at night.

Worst hotel I stayed ever in my life. This is super expensive tourist trap. Please stay away from this property. There are lot of better options in this area. Unclean room, broken down super old and rickety furnitures and overall dirty and smelly. Expedia should exclude this property from their platform.

First off the staff was awesome but that was about the only positive thing about this place. The monkey suite was not very good or even remotely nice. The road noise was very loud from 6am to 11pm. Beds were very uncomfortable. No one in our family slept. The room had a very weird layout and there was a tripping hazard/step in the middle of the room. The porch area could not be accessed without moving a couch. The beach was not that close. Pool was very small and the food was terrible. In all our years of traveling this is the first time we have ever just left the place and forfeited our money. We only stayed one night out of four and left to rent a villa which was much nicer. I did bring to the managements attention but there wasn’t much they were willing to do or that they could do. For the money do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Walking distance to Manuel Antonio Park. Unfortunately it is very close to the main road - we were woken up every morning at 5 am by traffic noise. Stay away from room 5 - extremely small for 4 people, it overlooks the road and there is an AC unit right outside the entrance door. It is very noisy, dark and uncomfortable room. Parking is a bit crowded but we got a good spot and never moved out car. Overall hotel premises are nice, there is a small pool right by the restaurant area. Good friendly staff, Leo was fun to talk to. When AC in our room leaked they immediately sent a technician, everything was fixed while we were out. We'll try a different hotel next time.

The updated pool area and restaurant look good. We were in the family suite with 2 grandparents, 2 parents, and 2 kids. The space worked great, the kitchen was useful, and we could sit on the porch watch the monkeys on their ropes course. Our 3 stay here.

We arrived at Jungle Beach Hotel on Oct 10th. We were so disappointed with the property. We booked it because it looked charming and the ads mentioned it was only steps from the beach. The room itself was dark, hot and the bed had actual grooves in it from the old mattress. They mentioned that the restaurant on the property was closed for repairs. The steps to the beach was a total lie. At 70 years old we were forced to walk along a busy highway. We walked to the beach and saw the prettiest beach hotel right on the water. We immediately booked the room for 10 days. We walked back to the Jungle Beach Hotel and checked out half an hour after we checked in. We explained to Esteban that the hotel was not as advertised and told him we were leaving. He said he would refund our money but that didn’t happen.

The staff was amazing myself and the wifey would have stayed longer if we could. Everyone is so helpful friendly and pleasant. Highly recommended, Adrian, Johnathan, Lorenzo, was a very memorable stay for us

Absolutely horrible stay with the cleaning staff not cleaning the room after being told so. The showers made so much noise and had so little water. The staff is not trained at all and also I had 4 drinks free which I didn’t get with the Expedia gold status. I had to ask and the bartender Katherine was so rude. It was one of my worst hotel experiences of my life for 200 USD a night. It’s not worth it at all.

Very unique property near Manuel Antonio National Park and restaurants. Awesome pool deck backing to a forest full of monkeys. Very nice and responsive staff. Recommended.

We were so pleasantly surprised at how naturally beautiful this hotel is! The foliage, the hand painted touches, the wide porches and especially the customer service (Estephan especially - extremely helpful), the convenient location made for an EXCELLENT stay. We will always return to Jungle Beach Hotel!

Everything about this hotel is phenomenal. Starts at booking, check in, the staff is Excellent, attentive, friendly. Will is the best , in the restaurant area. He is kind, funny , professional, and an all around asset to the hotel. All of the restaurant staff was amazingly kind The reception guys were very helpful with information, getting our bags to and from the car, and everyone was in charge of keeping the kittys safe from the monkeys . Had the best time and we will return. Pura vida

The Jungle Beach Hotel was perfect for our needs. The location was probably the best aspect of this little hotel. Wake up every morning to the beautiful sounds of jungle wildlife. We honestly did not expect to see so many monkeys so it was a wonderful surprise to see Howler monkeys and squirrel monkeys in the trees around the property. It was one of the best perks of our entire vacation. The beach access is so close, 3 minute walk down gravel road and it drops you into one of the best parts of Manuel Antonio Beach. The room itself was dated, but very clean and comfortable. We didn't spend much time there except to sleep so didn't need much more. The staff was helpful and a great resource for tips on where to eat and what to see. It was a great value for the price and we would stay here again.

We were on the top floor and woken up by playful monkeys running around the rooftops in front of our balcony - very fine!

Pool & restaurant are very nice. Breakfast is tasty but at separate cost. Rooms were not bad.
