The property appears a little dated but that may be its attraction for some. My room was on the top (second) floor but there is no lift and that’s awkward with luggage. Breakfast finished too early for me to take advantage of it. The en suite shower room was a very good, spacious room. The bed was adequate but not luxurious. I thought I’d booked a hotel in Switzerland but it turned out to be in Germany! Check out the border positions before you book.😁

And if you don’t feel like walking to a restaurant, there is a very convenient vending machine directly outside the front doors. Would definitely stay here again!

Very spartan but clean and that is reflected in the price. No staff about and all automatic check in. The town is a bit of a frontier setting so next time I think I would pay more and stay in Basel. But if you're on a budget it's ideal.
