I had an OK time at Principe. The check-in process was efficient, and the staff was friendly. They spoke English. The hotel was roomy and clean, albeit it shows its age. There was a small, outdoor pool with street view on the 3rd floor. No convenience items, no mini fridge, no microwave. Budget friendly Within walking diatance to grocery stores, shopping, and restaurants. I recommend and would revisit.

The bed was nice and the room was clean. No wash cloths or hand towels and Wifi was slow. It has an excellent Sushi restaurant attached and was an easy check in. Room was quiet on the 4th floor end of hall, but the doors are heavy and are loud. Small deep pool on 3rd floor, not really for kids. Good location for getting around.

Clean room, no frills w/o refrigerator, coffee/tea maker & restaurant. Cesar, the desk clerk went out of his way to find the address of the car rental agency. He was kind, patient and used his experience of knowing Panama City to find the address. One warning is the hotel doesn’t have an airport shuttle which was advertised on hotels.com website.

I wasn't happy with the shuttle service. They don't have any .I had to pay my way to the hotel. I asked why there's no shuttle..there's responded that they can get one but I had to pay for it ... To me they lead me that they had a shuttle to and from the airport..didn't like that's. I wouldn't go there.

I booked a kind suite which was street view which it stated partial ocean when I booked but not the hotels fault it was Expedia. The balcony didn’t have seats to actually enjoy it. They make you pay Valet parking due to it being cramped and they do not allow any other way around it. The pool is a little small and I’m not sure if it was because of rainy season but the sand was stacked high. Everything else was an overall pleasant experience

There was a whole in the couch on the suite that I stayed at, the room was aweful dirty and the sofa looks like it was picked up from the street, that charged me 90 for this “upgrade” it used to be a good hotel. I kept calling for them to bing me towels as I received a room with no towels and dirty top linens. Never again. I’m attaching pictures

La primer noches llegamos cerca de las 9 pm al ingresar a mi habitación tenía un fuerte olor a humedad había basura en el piso y el baño con detalles de limpieza lo reporte y pedí asistencia para el día siguiente y a las 8 am estaban en mi habitación. Hicieron limpieza profunda y eso me dio tranquilidad ! El personal muy atentos los door man y el conserje muy amables nos recibieron cada día y nos asistieron con nuestros paquetes. Está ubicado convenientemente a dos cuadras de la estación del metro vía argentina. El restaurante de sushi es delicioso la tienda de conveniencia podría mejorar su servicio al cliente. Algo que no me gustó es que pedimos hielo y me mandaron a un súper a comprar ya que el hotel no tiene.

I was in that hotel for six days, five days on the fifth floor. It was terribly noisy. I don't know what kind of people live on that fifth floor. It's too noisy, the doors are too loud, you can hear everything. On the last day, I spoke to the front desk lady and she moved me to another floor where I was finally able to sleep well.

I have now stayed at Principe Hotel several time, the location is unbeatable, staff is very friendly and in the last two stays I was upgraded to semi-suite size rooms, but the WiFi connection was terrible/to say nonexistent…if you need an internet connection to work, I would not recommend staying here.

The staff was indifferent. I was never made to feel welcome. I hired a massage therapist and they wouldn’t let the person up to my room unless I paid an extra $20. They claimed that it was in the fine print when I checked in, but they were well aware that I didn’t speak Spanish when I checked in and no one explained it to me. The lady at the desk was rude and spoke ill of me to the therapist when I went up to get the money. I asked to speak to a manager and was told I could do so tomorrow. The next day, the manager was not there The day after that the manager was not there, and I checked out.

This hotel has some problems with the staff. At 3:00 in the morning, the toilet leaked water after it was flushed. The woman at the front desk was rude, acted like she did not care and told me there were no other rooms available. She did send a man up to mop the floor, but he would not fix the problem and was also rude. At 9:00 the next morning, a different person at the front desk offered to put me in a different room and was nice. I spoke with another hotel guest and he said he has had conversations with the manager about the attitude of some of the staff at that hotel.

The hotel room is big enough for 2 people. The room has plenty of electrical sockets. It is located in a quiet spot of the shopping area. It is closed to the restaurants and supermarkets. It is also closed to the metro station, about 5 minutes walking. I can go to airport in about 45 mins.

I had the best time at this hotel ! Due to the extremely reasonable price I was a bit worried that the hotel would be bad but it exceeded my expectations. I typically stay at another popular hotel when I’m in Panama but I decided to give principe a try and it did not disappoint. The room was clean and comfortable there was no fridge, microwave or iron but we knew that before booking and those things didn’t matter to us really , the bed was super clean and comfortable and the staff was amazing especially the bellmen ! There is an amazing Caribbean Asian restaurant right next door , we ate there every night ! There is also a cafe right next door where you can grab water and snacks if needed ! Based on the price we paid the hotel exceeded our expectations ! We were two black female travelers and felt super safe ! I’d definitely return! It’s also pretty close to both Albrook Mall and multiplaza .
