Check in was quick and smooth. Lobby people aren't the type to say acknowledge you every time you come in and out which is fine. The room is very spacious with plenty of closet/storage/dresser space for your things. Hardwood type floors instead of carpet which I love. Bathroom is spacious as well with great water pressure. Rooftop pool is small and intimate vibe but didn't realize the hot tub is not hot, just bubbles. Breakfast in the morning ends at 1030 which is great for when you want a lazy morning. Free parking was an absolute perk. Great value for our money. I would absolutely stay again if I were back in Panama City.

Unfortunately I have to leave a negative review for this place as much as I wanted to like it. The property itself is fine and I didn’t have any problems with the room. The lobby area is clean and well-kept, and a lot of the front desk and maintenance/cleaning staff were great, but there were a lot of problems. I was pleased when I checked in that they gave me a $15 voucher for food and beverages at the property as a VIP gift, but actually using it proved much more difficult. We waited more than two hours for our dinner (party of four, ordered directly from the menu with no special requests) at the in-lobby restaurant, and they still never brought us a soup order and a drink order. They were not difficult about removing those items from the bill, but they had more trouble applying our $15 voucher. The next morning we tried to use the pool and other AS facilities. The sauna was closed for repair, the Turkish bath was not working until we asked the front desk and waited for an hour and a half to turn it on. It had clearly not been cleaned since the last day at least. They had a sign at the AS desk that the attendant stepped away for five minutes and would be right back. No attendant ever arrived and an employee told us that sign had been up for the last 4 years. Sorry guys, wanted to love you because the surrounding area is great, but you need to try harder.

Loved so many things about hotel. Friendly front desk. Breakfast buffet had many options, dinner menu was good, cocktails are lovely, rooftop pool and bar are good. I got a massage at the hotel and it was amazing. I used the gym a few times and it was nice. My only negative, was that I never saw any cleaner at the gym or spray. I hope the hotel adds that one thing.

The Tryp at Wyndham Panama Centre in El Cangrejo definitely exceeded my expectations. This hotel was conveniently located in Panama City close to shopping, restaurants and transportation options. We could walk to restaurants, shops, supermarket, etc. The area was very busy and safe. The front desk staff and restaurant staff were pleasant and helpful. The property was very well maintained. Workers could be observed cleaning the rooms, elevators, lobby and other common areas regularly. We did not see one insect at all during our week’s stay. We travel a lot and have high expectations. We were very very pleased with this hotel & it was a great value.

I booked a 5 night stay at the TRYP, the staff were friendly and helpful, which made for a pleasant experience. The amenities; rooftop bar/ pool lounge; gym; sauna; spa were a nice touch - this hotel is good for solo travellers and is central. I experienced some complications with hotel staff booking direct shuttle from the airport and had to use an alternate transportation service, but overall my greatest displeasure with the hotel was the cleanliness! I understand that some parts of the hotel were under renovation at that time but that doesn’t excuse the condition of the room. Visibly the room appeared clean but there was a strong urine-like stench from the bathroom, which I was greeted with immediately upon entry; low pressure plumbing so toilet easily clogged; the floors were dirty, the moment I removed my shoes I could tell it hadn’t been mopped for some time; the television was not working, no signal and no remote; the telephone in the room was not working so I couldn’t call out nor could reception reach me directly to my room, MAJOR security concern. I complained to management and they rectified the issue by having housekeeping come to clean and maintenance staff fix the phone and toilet but after witnessing the housekeeping process for each room I ended up going to the local supermarket and purchasing cleaning supplies to thoroughly clean and disinfect the room myself - the results affirmed a dirty room. Because of this experience I wouldn’t stay here again :(

Stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely stay! The view was great from my room, and I was given my VIP benefit (dining credit) after asking the front desk for it. The room was clean and the bed was super comfy! The hotel is centrally located, and about an 8-minute walk to the metro station, so it's easy enough to reach from the airport. I also ate at the restaurant downstairs and enjoyed my meal :) The only downside was that the hallway outside my room constantly smelled of cigarette smoke and weed. I had a non-smoking room, but I guess the floor isn't. Overall, I'd recommend. Just bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper, as voices carry in the hallway.

I have to give the hotel staff a 5-star rating even though the physical condition of the place is below par. I originally stayed on the second floor facing the street and the level of noise was unbearable. In addition, there were broken tiles in the bathroom and damaged flooring boards in the room and doors that wouldn’t properly close. The next day I asked to move to another room and was offered a rear facing room on the 9th floor. The room was better but still with maintenance issues. The saving grace was the staff (restaurant, cleaning and maintenance). The restaurant food was very good, specially the breakfast. Not sure if I would recommend this hotel though!!!

I really like this hotel. It was so very close to many things, lots to do in walking distance. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The only thing I did not like is there was no microwave in the room which was an inconvenience. Otherwise definitely a great place to stay. You won’t regret it.

La llegada fue traumática. veníamos de mexico sin dormir por los horarios de copa. llegamos al hotel a eso de las 7 am. por supuesto que era difícil tener el early check in pese a tener membresía gold. nos fuimos esperando una comunicación de ingreso que nunca llegó. volvimos a las 2 pm y allí nos contaron que aún no estaba la habitación. a las 15 volvimos luego de tomar un café y nos dijeron que la habitación del septimo piso premium que nos correspondía solo podríamos tomarla por un día y que luego nos mudaramos al 9o porque el 7o. iba a estar cerrado por reparaciones. o bien tomar una en el 9 directamente y que la única diferencia entre la normal y la premium era un sofá cama. subimos a revisar y en realidad, tal cual los anuncios, la diferencia entre normal y premium es de 32 a 42 metros cuadrados y no un sofá cama. pues bien, al día siguiente se hizo la mudanza. de lo que sigue solo puedo decir que al día siguiente escuchamos a alguien pedir alguna cosa en el front desk para el sèptimo piso (que en teoría estaba cerrado por reparaciones) la compensación fue un vale de 15 dolares. en suma, mal el trato, peor la información y cero early check in. y menos aún upgrade.

Overall, this was a nice place to stay before our cruise. It was clean, they have a nice rooftop pool and there's a lot to do/see in the area around the hotel. The service staff was SO slow. Meals were delivered to our table over and hour after ordering. Drinks took about the same amount of time. Very poor service and quite a bit of attitude from staff. But the rooms were good, nothing fancy but comfortable.

I booked the hotel and the AC broke down and they sent me to another hotel. The window was facing a wall and it was old and smelled. it was not what i had paid for. If you the hotel needs to send me to another hotel, the should send me to a better one. I was told the Ac was not working at 2pm day of checkin and i had no option but to go as i had no time to look for another one. Can i please request a refund or a credit for my purchase? This was a nice property. The rooms were clean and spacious. The check in and check out process were seamless and easy. The one drawback was the breakfast. It was okay but a bit basic compared to that of another property where I've stayed in Panama. On my last morning there was an issue which resulted in nothing hot being served - basically a continental breakfast was all that was available.

One of our room service requests took 54 minutes to fulfill for them, and we got our food cold. Food is a hit or miss, but the sea bass entree with the coco-curry sauce at the Gastro 507 was good.

The breakfast and restaurant was very good .. some of the best steak I had and breakfast options changed daily. The staff were super nice and helpful whenever we needed. I loved my room view from 7th floor. The rooftop was great I didn’t personally experience room service but we seen other ppl getting it and they even bought bottles to the room. The dining prices were great the drinks tasted so good especially happy hour lol. I felt safe in the area and there was a lot of food options nearby. Would stay here again
