Stayed 1 night

First of all: the rooms were lovely and clean. The staff provided excellent service beyond normal. Lunch great. But two things drag down our stay from excellent to very bad: 1. The hotel is under expansion, and the area around the hotel is a construction site that is very confusing. When we arrived at the hotel we couldn't find the entrance. We used GPS in the car, Google Maps and Apple Maps. We ended up having three laps around the hotel and the surrounding blocks before we gave up. We had to park at Bruuns Galleri and walk to the hotel to find out how to get into the hotel. After that, we had to go back to pick up the car. The entire check-in from the first time we passed the hotel until we were actually checked in two thus 70 minutes. This is unsustainable! We understand you are expanding, but in the meantime you need to put up signs that show guests where the actual entrance to the hotel is. 2. We chose this hotel solely because it is advertised with air conditioning. If it was actually air conditioning, it didn't work. We couldn't feel an air blow out of the facility. It was hot summer days in Aarhus, and even hotter in the room. It was like walking into a wall, much like a sauna. We slept very little and very badly. When it comes down to it, a hotel stay is not about service or breakfast, but about having a place to sleep. And our sleep was ruined by a non-working air conditioning (if there is air conditioning at all in the hotel as they recommend.)

Stayed 4 nights

A room with a view - from the 12th floor over the city. Single room a bit cramped, but functional. Somehow air-conditioned, but without possibility of regulating the temperature, as far as I could tell. Great breakfast. Close to railway station. Building works in the area, but the room was pretty soundproof.

Quality hotel with excellent and helpful staff. Unfortunately, their central air can’t keep up with the green house type building (windows are floor to ceiling) so the room was hot way beyond comfort. The friendly and helpful staff tried to remedy this, but failed. Happy to stay there in the autumn/winter, but never during sunny months again.
