A lot of the pool area was not tended to. $90 hotel maybe not $200

I liked that it had a family oriented environment. The room was very convenient, comfortable, and efficient. The pool was great especially since it only went up to 5ft. The breakfast was delicious and the Monday charcuterie styled buffet with wine tasting was my favorite. Overall great experience and would recommend and return to whenever in the area.

Staff was very friendly. But there was zero water pressure and water was like warm but mostly cold. Parking was very tight. They definitely need to monitor parking.

Short one night stay. Didn’t get the king size bed requested and was told by person checking us in that it was. The parking at hotel is very, very limited and a convenience even for the one night we stayed. Buffet breakfast was very nice. Nice variety of options and healthy choices.

Even though this was a short trip, I would greatly recommend this hotel for those who bring their dogs (there’s a big park where you comfortably can walk your dog). The dog fee is low compared to other hotels ($25 vs $75), the room was very clean, beds were super comfortable and the kitchen is a plus. The location was also very convenient and the staff very friendly.

This hotel gets all the basics down pat…. It is clean, quiet, safe, convenient, the staff was friendly, the a/c was cool the water was hot, the bed was comfortable. However, it gets a couple of black marks for an overcrowded parking lot with lots of “compact” spaces. Your doors are gonna get dinged. Also get a black mark for low water pressure. The shower was not up to par.

Stayed overnight to go to a Rays game. They no longer provide a shuttle to the stadium. Parking spots are weirdly small and limited. Facilities and room were clean. Great breakfast.

Not clean Dirty Mode Bug bite

Elevators and hallways smelled of weed constantly throughout our stay. Carpets in hallways look filthy, stained, not vacuumed. Toilet didn't fill quickly, took forever to flush. Shower did not drain, standing in inches of water while showering. A lot of random people appeared to just be loitering in the lobby, pool area, gym. Breakfast promptly closed at closing time to the point that i couldn't finish putting cream in my coffee when I was being reminded they were closed. Closing time was 9:30 and they quickly put up gates shut the lights off and pushed everyone out. Odd vibe overall and not the normal Staybridge experience we're used to.

The hotel carpet throughout the hotel is dirty and the smell is like its not kept and sanitized. There was a lot of dogs and not able to care for there needs properly at the site. My room was not vacuum. I booked this hotel on pass experiences and was very disappointed this time. The hotel has gone way down since September of 2024. Very unsatisfied customer The only good thing is location.

Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price I was really disappointed with my experience at Staybridge Suites. While the beds were clean and the room itself was spacious, the overall condition of the bathroom and cleanliness standards were unacceptable. The property feels like it’s in need of basic maintenance—or possibly even a full remodel. As shown in the photos, the toilet was dirty and the shower floor was disgusting, with mold and grime clearly visible. It made the stay uncomfortable and far below expectations, especially given the price. Pros: Good location Convenient parking Spacious rooms Clean beds Cons: Bathroom was dirty and poorly maintained Mold and grime in the shower Toilet was visibly unclean Overall lack of upkeep and attention to cleanliness Not worth the price I would not stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to others. Cleanliness should be a given, not a bonus. I would not stay here again and do not recommend it.

The hotel is in need of some updates. The room was dirty and had a bad smell. The bathroom was disgusting. Mold all in the shower and the floors were dirty. The only thing that was good was the bed was comfortable. We were unable to change rooms because they were sold out. Very disappointed.

The hotel is not clean enough for the price. The lobby and elevator floors are sticky, the room bathrooms can be cleaned better and towels were dirty.

Bedbugs were in our room.

At first glance, the hotel looks amazing and staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. After the first night, we were but unfortunately didn’t see anything until after the second night stay. My wife and kids were bit by bed bugs! We immediately alerted the staff and was at, helpful and showed genuine concern. That changed quickly increasingly worse the more we asked for assistance getting a new room, help with cleaning our items, etc. Eventually, the offers some laundry soap, and a new room but after reading some past reviews, we found this to have happened before within the last few years, most recently and couple month ago. We ended up checking out, never going to our second room. Ironically, we continued to read reviews and found another customer on the same day we checked out was given the same treatment and worse yet, initially moved into our room that had the bed bugs! Poor communication, limited customer service, and certainly a place I will never stay again. Ultimately, we had to go through Expedia to get a full refund and as a last note, Expedia representatives were on point with all that I needed and helpful to expedite process of getting our refund.

We’ve stayed here before but this hotel is going downhill. Carpets were sticky, walls and bathroom dirty with some mold. Fridge handle just glued on but not staying on. When asked for a room clean, we were told to grab new towels instead.

The hallways were NEVER vacuumed the 4 days I was there. Same stuff (and then more) on the floors the entire time. Towels never changed (sign says weekdays they will be changed but need to request on weekends--I was there 4 weekdays and only wanted them changed once but never done). Huge pieces of dust hanging from the intake vents in my room---triggered allergies. I was charged an arm and a leg for my stay (Spring Break so I understood) but I expect some services for that kind of money. Breakfast was nice. Lobby was clean.

Checkin was fast. Front desk friendly. Room spacious and clean. Quiet and dark. A/c making strange noise, but did not keep us up. Loved the extensive hit breakfast.

Staybridge in St.Petersburg was just okay. Reported trouble with hot water not working well in fifth floor room twice. Warmed up after running water 4 or 5 minutes. Very odd to have to do this in a hotel.

The hotel was overall in good condition. BUT the hotel really has a Parking problem. The light in the shower room was not working, no hot water in the shower in the morning, no water at all in the toilet and the fridge (full size) in the room was very loud. The person in the counter just didn’t care when I was reporting all the issues. She just said “you will get a copy of your invoice later via email!”. Wouldn’t stay here again! There are plenty of other GOOD alternatives en the same area!

So easy to get to Tropicana Field! Free overnight parking. Beautiful room. Clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the social hour with wine, beer and hot apps. For a special getaway, this was the best.

The Staybridge was my first choice for several reasons. We were attending the Yankees-Rays games at Trop. The hotel was within easy walking distance to the stadium. Next, we had free on-site parking. There was a free breakfast and it was first rate. Our WiFi connection was great. The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet. The only two knock offs were the shower, which wasn’t great, and the cleanliness of the halls. However, given the benefits, we were very pleased and will stay here again.

rooms need to be updated

Breakfast was very good. We were in a room that had door in it which could be opened into the adjacent room. People occupying that room were up till 5 o’clock in the morning making lots of noise and we could hear everything that they were saying and doing. We asked to have our room changed as we had very little sleep, and were told that the people would be “talked to,” but there was not a room available because they were booked. The noise was a lot less the next night, but it resumed again on the third night. No one ever checked with us after our initial complaint.

The AC is very loud.

Breakfast and happy hour offerings were excellent. Housekeeping mgr was helpful, professional and accommodating but Housekeeping staff was often rude, and unprofessional. Staff did not do a good job of cleaning the room even when services were not offered on daily basis. I was ok with daily services not available, my expectations was if not available daily, then when available, a good cleaning would be done when they were present. Upon arrival dirty dishes were in sink . This just tells you, that some housekeepers do not take pride in their work .

The staff were incredibly rude and condescending through our entire visit. Any question or inquiries were responded with an attitude, whether it was a question about the buffet or at the front desk. Would not recommend for future visits.

We were seriously disappointed by our experience. I am a seasoned traveler spending many weeks on the road for decades for work and what occurred has only happened twice but this was not good. When we checked in on Friday I was told the room I reserved through a third party was not available because they were overbooked, and we were "downgraded" to something available. Note the reservation was made more than 70 days in advance! We were downgraded by one of the management Team from a 2 queen bed with a sleeper bedroom suite to a 1 queen bed & sleeper studio. They had not contacted me and had no idea who would be staying in the room and simply determined 3 people can share 2 beds. They had no idea one of us could have been 6'3'' and 310 Lb. and no way be sharing a queen bed, let alone a sleeper. Plus there was a price difference but was being billed at the original price! I challenged them to provide the room reserved and there was no intent to address the situation, until we confirmed that the room style originally requested was available for Sat & Sun of our planned stay. Then management consented to change our room on Sat morning which turned into another fiasco. We got up Sat and the shower didn't work, no water! Between this and the room change totally ruined our plans for the day. It's not done yet, they have yet to credit the room charges for our first night stay. After email exchanges with the manager, I don't believe they ever intended to give us the correct room.

I found the price to be very nice. There was construction around the parking lot, but the hotel has no say so on that. Everything was ready for us on time, so no complaints. Staff was very friendly.

Princess, the receptionist, was awesome! She is a natural marketing strategist. Very knowledgable and attentive to our needs. We will definitely go back to this hotel. Parking very convenient and excellent location and room facilities. Love it!

Location was great. Value is solid. Service was terrible. The parking was under construction, which is understandable, but when we checked in, we were told that we could park in the adjacent lot, but had to move our car before 8am. And not to worry because this was the only night we had to. We were staying 5 days, 4 nights and had to move our car every single day because the parking was being done all week. Would have been fine, but they did not set the right expectations. Breakfast buffet was included, but man they are on the dot about removing the buffet. We watched a father and young daughter trying to decide what bread & bagel to have, and as they were standing there, the staff removed all the bread & bagel options before they could select something to eat. Our key cards all were shut off (not sure why). When we went to the lobby, no one was at the front. So, I walked into the back calling out for some help. When the staff member came out, instead of starting with how she could help us, she started looking for the sign to indicate she was not going to be at the front desk. Towel rack in our bathroom fell off the wall. Location is convenient for downtown St. Pete's. Room value is solid. Hopefully the service improves.

Derrick, the guy at the front desk was awesome! Super helpful and friendly.

Family had to go here because of hurricane and there were multiple challenges. But the staff, especially Derrick, were incredibly patient and helpful. He made a difficult situation pretty smooth! Also, room was very clean and comfortable. Thanks to all of You!!

5 to 10 minute walkable distance from Central Avenue, where you can shop and eat and enjoy. I just wish there were adequate parking at the hotel.

I really had a very pleasant experience all around. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was yummy. The social hour was interesting and unexpected but enjoyable. Even in walking distance to delicious seafood, and made going to the ballgame quite easy and enjoyable. Really enjoyed my experience and if I ever went back to Florida I would go back to this hotel again.

The hotel is very close to USF St. Petersburg. and downtown St. Pete. Great area!

The convenience of this property to the Rays stadium is great. Easy walking distance. The property was clean, safe, and had a great breakfast before we departed.

We were in town for a few baseball games at Tropicana Field. The hotel was great, clean comfortable within walking distance to the stadium. The issue I had was the surrounding area. On the walk to the stadium through the park and over the highway walkway, there was many many homeless. The park and walkway was littered with food containers, socks, underwear, bottles even feces. Did not feel very safe at all. Will rethink my next stay unless the area is cleaned up. Also parking was very tight. My car door got hit, dont know how much in damages yet

Excellent breakfast

Our room was dirty, breakfast buffet was serving rotten fruits, was told to call the front desk if you need anything but no one answers.

Breakfast and "social hour" appetizers were great. Saw who I believe was the chef out each morning making sure that everything was as it should be. Missing items (pot lids, toaster) in room. I let the front desk staff know (and know that I didn't need it until the next day), and someone was up to my room the next morning with the missing items.

Everything about our stay was excellent...easy, simple and fun. The complimentary happy hour was very generous and the breakfast was outstanding. We would have patronized the bar if it was open.
