Loved our stay at True North B&B. Deb is an excellent host - very hospitable, friendly and helpful. Her breakfasts are next level! The bed is comfortable and the room is very spacious. It is a nice quiet spot and the pool is so refreshing. If staying on Magnetic Island Horseshoe Bay is the place to stay - beautiful beach, a number of great restaurants, access to walking tracks, a good bus service (we had our own car but the bus was quite regular). If we return to Magnetic Island we would definitely come back here. Thanks Deb for making our Magnetic Island trip so memorable.

Wonderful rooms and addiional facilities( shaded pool, bbq area). Short walk to restaurants. Bars and beach at gorgeous horseshoe bay. Bus connecting horeshoe bay to ferry terminal runs past the front of the building. Short bus ride to the start of the famous forts walk. Almost guaranteed to see Koalas in the wild on this stunning walk

Great place to stay with a lovely breakfast. Good location near the beach, but a little bit away from the main street which suited us well. Everything walkable in Horseshoe Bay and very close to the bus stop which was also useful. Bed was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the private outdoor space provided by the balcony. Good kitchenette as well.

Very nice atmospheric house with lots of space and a great veranda. Breakfast was lovely - ordered from a menu and then left on a tray for us to eat on the veranda. Location is great - 5 minutes walk from the beach.

Super morgenmad og sød vært. B&B siger det hele god seng og god morgenmad man kunne vælge mellem 5 forskellige varme retter og to slags juice. Men man skal ikke være for sart med insekter, da det er i et hus med meget frodig have. Bussen er nem at benytte, men brug bus plan da den ikke kører så tit. Benyttede ikke poolen, da den ikke så så indbydende ud.

We loved our stay at True North. It was an absolute haven from the heat. We loved cooking dinner in the kitchen and hanging out by the pool. It’s right by the bus stop and a few minutes from Horseshoe Bay. The breakfasts were a highlight - I recommend the pears!

Deborah was an awesome Host, made me feel so welcome & @ home in their lovely house, which was stunning by the way. My stay had everything I would have wanted, EXTRA clean - tidy - presentable. Loved the swim in really nice saltwater pool. Sooooo enjoyed the breakfast menu and it tasted gr8!! 2, especially the beautiful fresh fruit salad. My bed was oh so comfy. Also I very much appreciated a ride back thanx!! from the local pub. Had such a wonderful stay - ta again, totally recommend you come and luv the holiday feel also, that this magic place has 2 offer :-)

Had a lovely 4 night stay. The room has everything you would need including beach towels and a clothes drying rack. Breakfast is included and was wonderful, with generous portions of everything. I am from Nashville Tennessee USA and visited my partner who lives in Townsville QLD over the winter holidays. We stayed at True North for a couple of nights during my visit. Everything was perfect! The breakfast served in the mornings was delicious with ample portions to hold us over till dinner time. The room fridge was stocked with coffee, milk and sugar with a water pitcher as well. The room also was equipped with anything else we needed during our stay in the way of cups, cutlery, kettle, and toaster. The property itself was gorgeous and felt very private amongst other holiday stays in the area. It was also very walkable to Horseshoe Bay with multiple bus stops close by if not feeling up for a walk. We had a great time and definitely plan to come back on our next visit to the island 🏝️

If staying on Magnetic Island Horseshoe Bay is the place to stay - beautiful beach, a number of great restaurants, access to walking tracks, a good bus service (we had our own car but the bus was quite regular). Loved our stay at True North B&B. Deb is an excellent host - very hospitable, friendly and helpful. Her breakfasts are next level! The bed is comfortable and the room is very spacious. It is a nice quiet spot and the pool is so refreshing. Wonderful rooms and addiional facilities( shaded pool, bbq area). Short walk to restaurants. Bars and beach at gorgeous horseshoe bay. Bus connecting horeshoe bay to ferry terminal runs past the front of the building. Short bus ride to the start of the famous forts walk. Almost guaranteed to see Koalas in the wild on this stunning walk

Great place to stay with a lovely breakfast. Good location near the beach, but a little bit away from the main street which suited us well. Everything walkable in Horseshoe Bay and very close to the bus stop which was also useful. Bed was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the private outdoor space provided by the balcony. Good kitchenette as well.

Very nice atmospheric house with lots of space and a great veranda. Breakfast was lovely - ordered from a menu and then left on a tray for us to eat on the veranda. Location is great - 5 minutes walk from the beach.

Super morgenmad og sød vært. B&B siger det hele god seng og god morgenmad man kunne vælge mellem 5 forskellige varme retter og to slags juice. Men man skal ikke være for sart med insekter, da det er i et hus med meget frodig have. Bussen er nem at benytte, men brug bus plan da den ikke kører så tit. Benyttede ikke poolen, da den ikke så så indbydende ud.

We loved our stay at True North. It was an absolute haven from the heat. We loved cooking dinner in the kitchen and hanging out by the pool. It’s right by the bus stop and a few minutes from Horseshoe Bay. The breakfasts were a highlight - I recommend the pears!

We stayed in a large, quiet room with a private balcony and had an excellent cooked breakfast provided each day. The property is a short walk to the beach and eateries. We highly recommend it for couples. Thank you Debbie and Larry!

Had a lovely 4 night stay. The room has everything you would need including beach towels and a clothes drying rack. Breakfast is included and was wonderful, with generous portions of everything. There is a bus stop nearby with access to other parts of the island and walking tracks. It is a short walk to Horseshoe Bay where there are numerous eating options and a beautiful swimming beach.

I am from Nashville Tennessee USA and visited my partner who lives in Townsville QLD over the winter holidays. We stayed at True North for a couple of nights during my visit. Everything was perfect! The breakfast served in the mornings was delicious with ample portions to hold us over till dinner time. The room fridge was stocked with coffee, milk and sugar with a water pitcher as well. The room also was equipped with anything else we needed during our stay in the way of cups, cutlery, kettle, and toaster. The property itself was gorgeous and felt very private amongst other holiday stays in the area. It was also very walkable to Horseshoe Bay with multiple bus stops close by if not feeling up for a walk. We had a great time and definitely plan to come back on our next visit to the island 🏝️

Great place to stay. Having a cooked breakfast delivered to your door is definitely a highlight, especially when you had about 7 different choices and they were all excellent, healthy and filling. The building itself is an old Queenslander, timber decks and floorboards, balcony. Four different rooms, so can't get too busy or noisy. The host, Deb, was friendly and caring. The accommodation is well shaded with trees and birdlife, but the pool area could do with some more sun. The location is a short walk to Horseshoe Bay beach and it's many cafe's, resturants and a pub. There is a convenience store and access to many fascinating walks. Highly recommended for an enjoyable stay in magnificent Magnetic Island.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The room had everything we needed, good location for a few drinks on a night and not far from the fort walk. The pool was a nice bonus after a hot morning. The breakfast was brilliant. You choose the night before and Deborah brings it up to your room at the time you request. Deborah is also really helpful. She told us about a steak offer that was on in one of the pubs and where to go and not to go for food. She also told us about the Lorikeet feeding next door which we loved. When we come back to Magnetic Island I would 100% stay here again.
