Perfectly fine as an overnight on a road trip. It’s a tiny place, office not open late, but they were kind enough to text me and hide a key for us. Bed was comfy, room clean , spotless towels… the place just needs TLC. Huge positives are dog friendly and no smoke smell… always an issue in casino towns

Was a little hesitant as I parked as exterior looks tired but room was comfortable and clean. Needed a microwave and the front desk attendant brought one over from another room willingly. Limited continental breakfast with only cold cereal and packaged pastries and coffee pretty weak. Beds were fine and fridge was large and good working condition.

The only problem we had is they say, on Expedia, that there is a laundry but there is NOT! That's the main reason we picked it. If we had known it didn't have one we would have chosen a different place.

Nice rooms but the office is only open 12 hrs. and there are no room microwaves to warm up food if you arrive or eat something you brought, after hours. The breakfast is junk food & cold cereal " milk available by request", what? So keeping those things in mind, its still a decent place.

The only drawback to this stay was the weak internet-I could not do some work that I needed to. The motel had an old fashioned feel to it but it had all the amenities and was lovely and quiet.

So, we walk in and there is trash on the floor. They just scooped the old soap out of the dish and left the goo in the tray. There were french fries on the floor and tops of junk food on the floor. There was a hair band in the bathroom full of hair. So we called the clerk and she offered to go vacuum but she was running the desk where people kept coming in asking for things. They left about 1 use on the toilet paper holder and no backup. The gfi outlet at the sink did normt work so my wife could not dry or curl her hair in the mirror. The real kicker was when we opened the refrigerator and found left over bologna in the fridge - totally unclean. It was such a same because the room itself was nice - the bed was comfy, the pillows good, the tv worked but we refused to the bath or shower because we were not sure it was ckean The front desk clerk said she would never leave a room like that and would report it to the head housekeeper. That sure did not help us and housekeeping totally failed so we would not go back or recommend it

I’ve stayed at over 500 hotel rooms and this is the first time I got bit by bedbugs that was very notice I have huge welts on my back and shoulders. I called the manager and told the situation and they said they would get back to me but of course they didn’t. Also I could hear footsteps very loud from upstairs throughout the night.

When we checked in, and my sister went into her room, a whole window pane fell on her, when we reported it to the front desk, they had somebody look at it, and he denied that it happened, but said he fixed the window. When I checked into my room, there were dead bugs in the corner of the bathroom and on the windowsill as well as stains everywhere and a leaky faucet that kept us up all night. The towels hung up in the bathroom were stained and dirty. The shower had pink mold all over the bottom of the shower curtain and inside the tub. The smell in the room was horrendous. Every single time the air conditioner would kick on it would smell really bad like mildew or mold or something. I would never stay here. We ended up leaving early before our booking ended and went and stayed at the La Quinta.

The room was very clean and lots of space. I love being able to park right outside the door to my room since that makes it easier to unlaod. The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows to choose from. The area and the room were quiet and within walking distance to restaurants. The refrigerator was great!--large, with a seperate freezer compartment. Water was soft, which isn't my preference since soap doesn't rinse off well. The shower and bathroom were spotless. I would rather not have carpeting since it's so hard to clean and a smart TV where I can sign into my apps to watch programs would have been nice. I would stay there again.

Review for 2 queen beds room. Lots of room on floor for bags and suitcases. Nice table with 2 chairs. Sink outside of bath/toilet which is always convenient. Plenty of lighting in room. Enough wall sockets in room for charging phones, computers, etc. Adequate parking close to room. WiFi works good, fast. Continental breakfast simple but enough to satisfy. No microwave in room. Good price for a comfortable room. Would stay there again.

I want to like The Bristlecone. I have stayed there for years. They have redone the rooms. I appreciate that effort. The thing I did not like this time is that the “breakfast” offering is getting less and less. It should not be called breakfast. It should be Coffee, juice and snacks. The last two visits two weeks apart the morning staff person might not be doing their job. On the first visit there was no milk for cereal. I was told that all the milk at the grocery store was almost expired so why buy it? On my return trip there was no fruit. I was told that all the fruit at the store was old and ugly. There seems to be a theme here. Also there was a hose laying across the walkway as I arrived and thought someone had been watering the plants. The desk clerk said she had seen but didn’t know what was going on. The hose was still there the next morning.

This is a great place to stay. The staff and owner were exceptionally nice. There was a small grass lawn area right in front of the row of rooms I was in - so pleasing after a day of high desert driving. The continental breakfast was typical, except the fruit, including wonderful tasting mandarins, was actually ripe, unlike every other place that I've stayed on my long trip. The room was very spacious - a nice break from being in my car all day. I would definitely stay here the next time I'm in Ely.

I arrived later in the day and after staff had closed the office, but they made sure I was able to get into my room, putting a lot of thought into it and reaching out to me for instructions. The room was a good sized one, although the windowed door was a curiosity I had never seen before.

I always stay here when traveling to/from family in Elko. If they don't have a vacancy, I push on to Elko/Vegas. My only regret this go was that I arrived late and was put in the room closest to the highway so I had some noise but managed to sleep anyway.

Adequate motel for a 1 nite sleep. The bed was comfy and location was goodLa Fiesta restaurant right next door was great. Mega margaritas for only $10 and great good!!!

This a clean no frills roadside facility. It is directly next to a highway that is fairly busy/noisy until around midnight. The staff is friendly and helpful. The morning snack is not a breakfast with hot coffee and cold juice. The food is all package in small proportions, If you want a real breakfast go elsewhere (if you can find it)

Older hotel, but clean and comfortable. Was filled up the night we stayed. Accepts pets with a reasonable fee. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is pretty basic. Cereal, muffins, and breakfast bars. Not really more than that. Would stay again if I come back this way.

Nice room, good internet. Juice machine out of order for breakfast so had to improvise for taking morning pills. Will see if fixed tomorrow. Easy parking and convenient to everything.
