Enjoyed a 4 night stay here in late January. It was good value, we booked a Deluxe room and it is as you would expect, clean and decent size but nothing special. I enjoyed using the pool and outdoor gym in the morning, they were never busy. Rooftop bar is ok - good view but the drinks are quite expensive, around 20SGD for a beer.

Good central location & close to the MTR. Rooms were clean, modern & the beds extremely comfortable with excellent linen. Loved the roof top bar & the breakfast was good although I would have preferred a better selection of dining options. I think the hotel is missing a trick here.

Nice hotel, located in a nice area with a lot of bars, restaurants. Rooms are good, spacious. Confortable bed, nice bathroom. The lighting system is a bit chaotic, not easy to get the light you want. No light entry at the entrance door hence you need to walk to your bed to activate lights if you come back at night. Tv is good, airdrop not working. Hence you need to access hdmi port to plug hdmi cable however hard access to hdmi ports There is an outdoor swimming pool, outdoor gym, small indoor gym with cardio machines and one bench for free weight lifting Metro is close. Breakfast buffet is good, can be improved on drinks as all their juice ( orange and apple) seems more water mixed with a powder or light syrups The staff was kind and professional

Lovely hotel, in a great location Tanjong Pagar. The rooms are modern and well appointed with a coffee machine in each room. The bed was super comfy and bathroom facilities excellent. Staff were very helpful and quick with responses to questions. The hotel is very close to the Tanjong Pagar MRT station so very convenient to business and sightseeing in the city. The pool was very well maintained and clean and a few sunbeds that can get busy. We didn't eat at the but did have a drink in the Cooling Tower bar, drinks are great but the view is just ok. But for the cost this hotel is great value

Rooms had mould. The smell was really unpleasant. We thought it was isolated to one room but when we were moved to another room it had the same issue. The rooms are not properly ventilated especially the bathroom which was surprising for such a humid country. I would not recommend if you have heath issue with your respiratory system. The staff were nice and the hotel decor/amenities were ok. Unfortunately I would not return or recommend.

I was given a non smoking room on the 14th floor, however it had a strong odor of cigarettes in the hallway and in the room even more. This gave me dry cough and headache every morning. I have been choosing to stay at Carlton City each time I travel in Singapore in the past 10 years and this bad experience will put an end to this. Never again.

I suppose my experience with Carlton City Hotel was colored by the fact that I came down with a bad days-long flu as soon as I got there. If it hadn't been for my fever,. I may not have noticed that none of the windows opened and the rooms have only air conditioning, though I felt freezing. I was pretty sure it wasn't possible to have an AC unit which can't also function as a heater. Still, great location near some local flea markets and plenty of eating options. The hotel had a bit too much of a business traveler vibe for my personal trip

Air conditioning was not satisfactory, limited to 21C. Staff was polite and efficient but no warmth, greetings or help whatsoever, maybe its a cultural thing. Hotel is well located near MRT, Chinatown and downtown. Nice view from the room on the 25th floor

I really enjoyed my time here. The location was great once I got my bearings. Staff were very pleasant to speak to. They have a great rooftop bar that unfortunately I only went to on my last night. The main surprise was the size of my room- bigger that I had expected. I'm not sure if this is the same for other Singapore hotels at similar prices.

Room door didnt lock on arrival, eventually got moved to another room. A couple of days later the aircon stopped working. All fixed but just inconvenient.

Really good location and wonderful staff. The hotel is close to shopping areas china town /MRT and dining options . Plenty nice sit in restaurants near MRT station ( Tajaong Pagar) and nearby shops and a local hawker centre too... Also has a launderette opposite the hotel which is handy when on a long holiday (Easy wash ) The staff is really friendly and rooms are wonderful Would highly recommend as hotel is very central .

Check in was not a great experience. We were literally told nothing can be done before 14:00, and in all honesty the guy at the reception wasn’t all too friendly. Rooms don’t have any windows that can open, which makes it stuffy. Breakfast isn’t much. However the concierge was amazing, the hotel is very clean, cleaning staff is lovely, and it is in a great place.

Great location, close to food court and MRT station. Walkable to major tourist attractions like China town marina bay extra... Spacious room and very quiet atmosphere. Comfy room, good view, serviceable and clean bathrooms. Room service was very reliable, quick and safe. Attentive, cheery and professional staff. Breakfast was reliable and good every time. Rooftop bar is a HUGE plus for those who want a relaxing experience in the city with a cocktail. Prices are a little steep but it is an expensive area in an expensive country. Would appreciate more vegetarian options at breakfast and in the restaurant menu. Restaurant menu didn't have many (any?) vegetarian options. Breakfast was a 70/30 split but the vegetarian option was always tasty so wasn't a problem for me personally. Lot of addons in the hotel rooms that result in charges. Always check if something in the room costs something before using it!
