Croft Inn Motel

Dirty, half empty liquor bottle left in the room. Had to climb up an old wooden staircase outside to get to our room because they locked the front door. Dirty towels. Toilet paper out when went to tell them they wouldn't put it in the machine just sent up a huge industrial roll. The waste baskets were full. The bed had 2 fitted sheets instead of a fitted and flat sheet

The efficiency of the facilities. We had everything we needed with the kitchenette.

Right by the ferry for Salspring Island. Had a kitchen, and a dining table. Clean.

We stayed 3 nights in a room with a queen size bed and full kitchen. The motel is old and tired, and located on the street where cars line up for the ferry. The Expedia write up says there is a vineyard, there isn’t. There is an outdoor area that looked like it had ‘t been cleaned or used in some time. With the exception of a toaster and Keurig, the kitchen was poorly equipped: one tiny frying pan, no spatula or cooking utensils, mismatched cutlery barely enough for 2, barely enough dishes for 2, no kitchen towels or cloths. The bathroom had been renovated and was nice. We had no housekeeping for the 3 days we were there, we had to empty our own garbage. There is a sign in the room that says guests are expected to leave the room in clean condition or they will pay extra!! It served its purpose for us, and if you are not looking for luxury, then this place might work for you.

There was no restaurant as advertised. There was no jetted tub as advertised. The the fridge, coffee table and windows was dirty. Beds very uncomfortable. Do not recommend.

Spent the night here as it was impossable to find accomodation with a dog on saltspring island. There was an extra $30 fee for my dog which I did not see on Hotels.com when I checked so I was a little surprised. It is right on the linup for the ferry which is super convenient. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Able to store bicycles inside room. Room quiet and comfortable. Microwave and fridge handy. Soap dispensers in washroom.

This hotel is on the strip to the ferry so access to beach is much further away than I understood it to be. Room was spacious and clean.

The room was dirty, the service at reception wasn't great, and there was no A/C, so the stay was very hot. The location was convenient though, very close to the Salt Spring ferry.

We had 2 rooms booked and both were incredibly clean and comfortable, with nice amenities in the room. Both seemed very recently upgraded, including the bathrooms.

Lovely clean room, friendly staff, walkable to the ocean and the pubs in town.

Upon arrival which was 20 mins before actual check in time the Manager said you will be charged $30 additional as your early. We decided to go to the beach and wait until it was 3:00pm. When we got in the room there was patches of unfinished drywall in the ceiling, the coffee maker didn’t work, the tv remote wouldn’t work either. I brought this up to the Manager and he said he didn’t know about the coffee maker and didn’t write the note that was on it so try it anyways. He then exchanged the tv remote for a different one but that didn’t work with the tv either. Later when we returned to the hotel that night my partner used the washroom and she said the floor was crawling with Silver fish everywhere. The next day when we were leaving I had a talk with the Manager and mentioned the dirtiness and silver fish on the floor and he said he had no idea what I was talking about. Further to this horrible stay I put down a $100 security deposit which the Manager told me that I would receive the refund in a few hrs. The Manager reached out to me and said it’s not working, so I had to drive back down from Lake Cowichan to try my card in his machine as he had asked me if I could send him an e-transfer and he will send $100 CAD back to me. Like really I’m not stupid and can’t believe you even suggested this. Honestly with the condition and the way this place is managed we will never stay there again. It was gross on so many levels and it’s definitely not worth $200 a night.

The property is handily right at the ferry terminal and a short walk to local pubs and other amenities. Checking in and out was quick and service friendly. I would stay here again.

Horrible experience. Do not book this hotel. There are insects and bugs everywhere. We found it on bed and bathroom just when we entered the room. They refused to refund the fees.

I took photos but our room was extremely dirty. There was an old pimple patch in our bathtub, the toilet had no been cleaned, the room had a stench of cat pee/litter and flies in it, the wall has some sort of waxy residue splattered across it. It was absolutely disgusting. The room my friends stayed in also had permenant marker drawing on the back of the bathroom door that was inappropriate writing. We paid top dollar as there was a concert in Seattle and we are all super disappointed.

No a/c made our room very hot and uncomfortable but its expected from an older hotel and the owners do all they can to keep it afloat. Super close to Crofton ferry and in town. Might stay again

Good stay for the night. Room felt freshly renovated. Good shower head and pressure. Comfortable bed. Modern tv and amenities. Looks a little rough from the outside but don't judge the book by the cover.

They do not have air conditioning and it was hot as hell. We had to ask for a fan - and that just moved hot air around. The first room they gave us had no internet and no working TV. The room was jammed with big furniture so little room to move around in. They moved us upstairs to another room. The place is falling apart - there was no screen in the only big window in the room - so handyman brought in a screen that did not fit the window and had spaces around it when he "jammed it in" so flies entered the room. There was no soap in the bathroom. There were only 2 pillows on the bed and a third throw pillow in the closet. There was a Keurig machine with no coffee pods, no creamer, no sugar. Everything is old and ramshackle. Its cheaper than other hotels - but not comfortable. They have the audacity to take a damage deposit of $100 - what arrogance - there is nothing worth stealing and damage already exists almost everywhere - there are beautiful gardens - but they need to spend time fixing the space not the garden - no one cares about the garden - did not see 1 guest in them. the living spaces are really not nice.

Reserved through Expedia. Confirmed the late check-in through Expedia message system, then by phone with the manager. Came to our room at 11:30 pm which we reserved and paid for. Only then to find out that they gave our room to someone else. It was on the Memorial Day weekend with IRONMAN Race in Victoria City, so every hotel was completely full. Spent 1.5 hours on the phone with no luck. Then we had to go to the middle of nowhere with my kids and wife and try to sleep in the car because of this mistake, which was completely not from our side.

Place was ok. However when they take a deposit from you and don’t return the whole thing accusing you of taking towels Not cool. I wonder how many people they pull this money scam on?

The hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

Super staff l, qelcomong and effecient

Unfortunately upon our arrival we were told that our booking didn’t show up in their system, even though the booking was made a week in advance. Had to urgently seek a place to stay for the night and thankfully weren’t stranded on the street. Highly disappointed, but the property was lovely!

Clean and quiet, had everything I needed, and I really appreciate how they accommodated my need for an early check-in and an early check-out.

Over booked rooms, then asked me to leave after checked in. Have not refunded my room charge yet.

Dated but it was clean, great location, great staff and a good price point. I live in the island and could have gone home but this was a perfect stay for my needs.

If you're looking for a safe, quiet, clean place for a very reasonable rate, this is a solid choice. Nothing fancy, no AC or extras, but owners are very nice and A short jaunt to the water and Salt Spring ferry.

On arrival it was difficult to get the staff member to answer the door. Apparently he was in the back cooking himself a meal. When we went to the room the door didn’t work and we had to go find him again. Room window was at grade so the view was of a dumpster and cars going by. No coffee available. Generally an unpleasant experience for $200
