The staff was OUTSTANDING! Very accommodating and patient. Kitchen was clean, had plenty of coffee and espresso drinks. Free laundry after 3:00 pm. Room was clean and perfect. Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful property in the East Fjords. Highly recommend if road tripping Iceland, or doing what I did and needed temporary shelter from heavy wind while camping! Ended up loving my stay and grabbing a bite to eat nearby. Clean and comfortable property, well maintained and very charming. On site staff was very friendly.

Don’t get the first room. Right next to entrance door. People slam it all night. The room shower does not drain properly. Wife was getting a shower in bathroom. I was in the bed. Put my feet down and it had flooded the entire room. Has happened many times before. Baseboards and door casings were swollen from being wet! Obvious problem. Please do something about it.

Surprisingly nice. Spacious, clean, well presented. Bathroom was good and clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff extremely nice, friendly, helpful and efficient. The drinks from the machine were gorgeous -especially the hot chocolate!

This is basically a hostel. The room was very small with 2 twin beds and barely room to move around. It was self-check in with the key on a wooden stick in an envelope with your name on it left on a book shelf. There is no check in desk. You are to take off your shoes upon entering. There is a kitchen, and other guests were cooking their meals. It was high season so all lodging was very expensive.

Beautiful and modern kitchen area, but the rest of the facility is very dated. The room was the tiniest in all our travels. Felt much more like a hostel than a guesthouse, despite our private bathroom. This is probably the only facility out of 11 in traveling the Ring Road where I would not consider staying again.

It is a guesthouse so our expectations were tempered but the owner did nothing to quiet the extremely rowdy guests. We asked them to be quiet and they ignored us around 1030-11 so at 11 I messaged the owner asking him to talk to them. He didn’t respond for over an hour and it wasn’t until I banged on the wall and yelled loudly that the group was quiet. It felt a bit unsafe asking a room full of drunk people to please quiet down late at night and for that reason the review is low. The owner lives in the house and everywhere else I have ever stayed has quiet after 10 rules that they actually enforce. Kitchen was well equipped I guess so that was a positive.

Limited food options on Sundays and after "summer" season as Seydisfj. is over the mountains on the coast. We were here at the end of September and the road in was a bit icy and there are switchbacks so travel to here in winter feels very challenging. Beautiful town, cute houses. Hotel is located at the edge of town near the ferry terminal. Town is easy to walk to from here.

Nice simple place with everything we needed. The room was clean, pleasant, and had a great view of the mountains. Access to the kitchen and laundry was a great bonus. The staff member who supported us was very enjoyable and informative. We enjoyed our two night stay.

Self check-in instructions were communicated in advance and easy to follow. Rooms were basic, but very clean and adequate for our needs. It was nice to have access to the kitchen and laundry. WiFi worked well. There is an easy but somewhat steep hike to a lovely waterfall right behind the property. Our only "complaint" was that the cruise ship port was directly across the street. Instead of being able to listen to sounds of nature like birds and rain, we heard the ship running all night and the captain's announcements in the morning. It's just a minor complaint and the Guesthouse has no control over it, but I feel it's worth mentioning. Obviously it wouldn't be an issue on days when there's no ship in the port.

We were welcomed by a fill-in for the owner, and she was very nice. A simple, small room, clean, with a spectacular view out the back of the mountain as the rain fell, creating many waterfalls. Seydisfjordur is a special place, the aura of a smallish town that is welcoming to visitors, and the hotel felt the same. The communal kitchen where you could make coffee or tea or hot chocolate provided (and any other meal) with board games and seating, so lovely. We had a wonderful dinner in town at the cafe, and wonderful walk around the lake and the "downtown". And it had great meaning, "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" was filmed here and its inspirational messages resonated during our stay and for always. Thank you!

The property was clean and fresh. Everything worked as it was intended. The host was friendly, helpful and accommodating. There were restaurants within easy walking distance. There was adequate parking for vehicles. The full kitchen was available for home cooked meals. The large clean windows provided great views of the outdoors. We would definitely stay here again.

Ottima posizione. Check-in comodo. Molto pulito. Cucina comune molto attrezzata, fornita di tutto (anche olio, zucchero, sale, bustine di the che nelle altre guesthouse non abbiamo mai trovato). Molto apprezzata anche la macchina di bevande calde (espresso, cappuccino, cioccolata) che si poteva utilizzare a piacimento. A disposizione degli ospiti anche una veranda dove mangiare all'aperto (se si ha la fortuna di trovare gionate soleggiate).

Easy check in, very helpful and friendly staff. Great kitchen for cooking, coffee maker for expressos and latte, microwave, oven, big fridge. Standard room with twin beds. Warm and comfortable. Limited food options on Sundays and after "summer" season as Seydisfj. is over the mountains on the coast. We were here at the end of September and the road in was a bit icy and there are switchbacks so travel to here in winter feels very challenging. Beautiful town, cute houses. Hotel is located at the edge of town near the ferry terminal. Town is easy to walk to from here.

This guesthouse was perfect for our one-night stay in this cozy village. While simple, it had everything we needed. The shared bathroom was clean with a nice large shower. The room was fully stocked with towels, robes, sheets, pillows, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Coffee and tea was available in the communal kitchen and it was a very short walk to the main part of town.

An affordable gem! It's not a typical hotel with a front desk, but everything was well-organized and communication was good. We were delighted to have access to laundry facilities (only one large washer and one large dryer, so they were in constant demand), along with a large, bright, cheery well-equipped communal kitchen - it was great fun mingling with many other international travelers preparing their meals there! Our rooms were roomy, clean, quiet and comfortable. Easy parking, a nice harbor front location just a few blocks from the town center, and a fun little waterfall hike right next door to the guesthouse.
