Bra hotell som ligger väldigt centralt och enkelt att ta sig till om man t ex kommer med tåg från flygplatsen. Lite rörligt med alla gångar och hissar i hotellet, men till slut lär man sig hitta i labyrinten.

Veldig lytt mellom rommene. Treningsapparater i treningsrom var ødelagt. Altfor lite lys på rommet, vanskelig å se hva som var i kofferten med mindre en tok kofferten inn på badet. (Ingen lys i taket)

Overall everything was good. The room was nice, bed was comfortable and front desk was friendly and helpful. Cleaning needs improvement. What let this place down was on the last two days cleaning was not done. We had no clean towels for two days, bedsheets were never changed, and because no cleaning was done we had to ask for garbage and dishes and wet towels be removed at 21:00. We did not have the sign up for no cleaning, so it was purely overlooked towards the end of our stay.

I loved this hotel and the breakfast was amazing. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I've slept in. The location is unmatched, but the only complaint is that we were on the side of the hotel facing the Parliament building and we heard protesting from the Parliament square every single day. While I wholeheartedly support the causes and appreciate the fact that folks are free to protest, sometimes we couldn't nap for the chanting, and we kept our windows closed more often than I would have liked. My only complaint about the room itself is that it was TINY. There was nowhere to put clothes and the tiny space for hanging clothes didn't even accommodate a dress. There wasn't even room to open a single suitcase on the floor. Made it hard for a 5 night stay. Next time I'd make sure to get a larger room. I'd only ever stayed in the Grand Hotel in Oslo before and did not miss it - not even the breakfast buffet - although I would have preferred the larger room size! We also appreciated that it was just a block from a Vålerenga supporters pub!

Et helt ordinært rom med utsikt rett i en vegg. Dueskitt i vinduskarmen var ikke så lekkert. Sengene var gode og rommet og badet var rent. Flott frokost. Hyggelig betjening. Beliggenheten midt på Karl Johans gate er super.

The food and beverage was excellent the staff was excellent . Location was excellent . Our room face the front of a busy street so it was quite noisy. The room was very compact for two people with luggage. We also feel it was overly warm and had a hard time cooling it off except keeping windows open which made the noise difficult while sleeping.

Karl Johan is a lovely hotel in a great location close to almost all sites and the breakfast was great. However, our room would have been fine except for the bathroom which was very misleading. I would have never booked this room if the correct pictures were posted on the Hotels.com site. The pictures I saw are NOT reflective of the bathroom which was the size of a hallway closet. We are not large people and we questioned how larger people would have functioned. Seriously, I have never seen a sink the size as small as this one. It literally measured 1 Ft wide by 1.25 ft long which is not what I saw online. It was almost impossible to wash without splashing everywhere. I think this misrepresentation warrants Hotels.com to contact me. I have a picture to prove my point.

This was our first time at the Karl Johan. The exceptional service from the check-in agents was superior! Every question was resolved with such politeness. Our room was wonderful with such a view. The breakfast bar was so complete and beautifully displayed. Our trip was just perfect

The hotel was in a good location. Great buffet breakfast, but the service was just ok. The staff wasn’t that friendly or very helpful. Not sure if it’s worth the VIP status. I probably should have stayed at the Grand hotel Oslo next door if I was going to pay the same for a more boutique hotel but not have a personalised service

The hotel was in a perfect spot to explore Oslo. The room was clean and spacious. We had a flight issue and did not arrive for the first night of our booking. When we got to the hotel the front desk person was unfriendly and said that because we didn't stay the fist night we weren't in their system and directed us to wait in the reception area. Her unsmiling and stern demeanor put a damper on our check in. Fortunately, the manager was nicer and checked us in without further issue.

On the 3rd of our 5-night stay, we woke at 3:30 AM in confusion and shock: Water was pouring from the ceiling in several places - not dripping, but small, steady streams. The room has no phone, so I had to run down to the helpful Delina at the front desk. When someone finally came up to the room, she had to use towels, buckets, even a coffee pot to catch the deluge. Long story short: we packed hurriedly, switched rooms, struggled to get back to sleep. The leakage isn’t what bothered us (accidents happen, after all). It’s the cavalier dismissal and poor service afterward: The manager will only be in on Monday (it was Saturday night) and on Monday morning we were told the manager will only be in around noon. We left a message - but never heard back. Not an apology, not even as much as a complimentary beverage as a gesture. You pay a hotel for security and a good night’s sleep. That’s the contract of service. We did not get that. You call this service and hospitality? We will never stay here again. You should think twice about it too.

Hotel is super cute and convenient location. However, my room was on the 2nd floor facing the square and you can hear all the noise outside. There were drunk people walking around at 1am screaming and yelling, ask for a higher floor if possible.

Great location just :10 walk from National Theatre train station, and so centrally located that nearly all tourist sites were within :15 walk (including ferry to museums like Fram). Spacious room & bath. Excellent breakfast buffet too in a light and pretty room.

Frukostmeny var toppen ur synvinkel på allergialternativ men tyvärr var inte den varma maten varm. Bäddsoffan i rummet var sliten då den knarrade hela tiden när någon rörde sig samt att man hela tiden rullade in mot mitten, dvs kändes helt utsliten.
