We stayed at this hotel for two nights as a family (2 adults and 1 child). Its location very close to the train station was a great advantage and made getting around very easy. We were also able to walk comfortably to Córdoba's main tourist attractions. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful. Thanks to its location, cleanliness, and hospitality, it is definitely a hotel I would recommend. However, when we checked in, the receptionist asked for our credit card details. Since we had already paid for our stay in advance, we asked why this was necessary. We were told that it was the hotel's standard procedure. When we asked why such a procedure was needed, the receptionist explained that it was to cover minibar charges or any possible damage to the room. We stayed at several other hotels in Spain and had never encountered such a practice. In another country, a hotel had placed a €20 pre-authorization hold on our card at check-in, which was automatically released after check-out. Asking for our credit card details in this way made us feel uncomfortable. Moreover, this policy was not mentioned on the booking platform (Hotels.com) when we made our reservation. In my opinion, the hotel management should reconsider this practice.

Nice hotel, good value for money with a tasty breakfast. Close enough to walk from the train station and close enough to walk to the main sights of cordoba. Air conditioning good. Roof pool area a bit of a disappointment and the reception staff not the most friendly. I guess my English confused them, understandably.
