Actually disappointed w Expedia. We had requested 3rd floor when booking however expedia did not share request with hotel. Reach out to hotel w specific requests if you have any. Only downside to location is indoor pool is not heated. We had suite and was very pleased. Staff excellent. Parking is limited.

It was off season and there was maintenance going on. But the staff was great and very helpful. They even opened the pool for us even though the water was very cold. It was are choice to use it, thank you and I’m sure we would stay there again.

Hi. Enjoyed our stay. Room was large and enjoy being on the water. I had planned to swim as the hotel advertises a heated pool. Unfortunately when you actually go down to the pool, there is a small sign telling you it is not heated this time of year. I assume it is a cost cutting measure, but quite disappointed. The room was warm, but the water too cold to have a swim.

This is a fantastic location. The property overlooks the ocean which means you can have your morning coffee watching the fishing boats leaving the harbour. The rooms are spacious and ours had a small kitchenette that had everything to make breakfast or simple evening meals. The only downside for us was the property is being renovated at present and the rooms and hotel lobby have a very strong smell of paint fumes, that really got to the back of your throat. This made sleeping with the windows closed impossible and made all our clothes hanging up in the wardrobe also smell of paint. The renovation work is also noisy, but the staff kept this to reasonable hours. I would stay here again in an instant the staff are very polite and friendly. The location is great for all amenities in St Andrews, but would check that the renovations were complete first.

This is a nice hotel. It is showing a bit of age, which is the most negative factor. It was clean, with a beautiful view, and in an active seaside town. Summer is visitor season, winter is likely very quiet.

The view from the room is amazing! We stayed here specifically for that reason. Overall though, the place is pretty dated and our room, especially the bathroom, was not very clean. The parking lot was also full when we arrived, but street parking is allowed overnight here so that wasn't a huge deal. Location is excellent and staff were all very welcoming.

This is an older property that has been nicely remodeled (new paint, floors, bathroom). The beds and bathroom were very comfortable and quality shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were provided through dispensers in the shower. Our room had a balcony with a view of the bay. Complimentary breakfast of coffee/tea, yogurt, cereal, and cake doughnuts was provided. It was just okay. The beds were clean; however, other surfaces were not as clean as they should have been. Wood furniture was old and very dusty. Floors needed a good mopping and shower showed evidence of prior occupants. We did enjoy being able to leave our car at the motel and walk to shops and restaurants. Would recommend The Herring Pub and Maison Kennedy House for beer and seafood.

The property is well located on the waterfront and has nice views. The area was quiet. The shower curtain was pink from bacteria, which made me wonder about the cleanliness of the rest of the room. The room was very dim due to limited lighting and the use of undersized lightbulbs in the lamps. Some of the wiring was concerning with extension cords hanging out of loose sockets.

Nice beach view. Good for overnight stay and be near the whale watching boats. Could hear the tv through the walls from one of the other rooms. Had the ground floor and could hear anytime the occupants above us opened their door to their balcony to view the beach/water. Bathroom sink was not in the bathroom. Bathroom itself was very small. Easier to dry off on the shower stall. Shower Stall itself was nice. A/C worked well. A bit noisy but that covered the other noises from other occupants. Inside pool was nice.

The view is outstanding, the room was clean and the beds comfortable. Unfortunately, we were on the 2nd floor and late at night, someone above us was pacing back and forth for a very long time which was very noisy - a lot of thumping and floor squeaking. The hotel is getting old and would benefit from some sprucing-up. The front desk people were friendly and helpful. Hint: ask for a room on the 3rd floor if you want to have a good night sleep.

This is an older hotel, but it has been nicely renovated. The rooms are a good size and have ocean views from the balconies. Breakfast was a little limited but 24 hour coffee is a nice touch. There are several dining options within east walking distance and some lovely craft shops. Highly recommend this hotel for a long weekend getaway.

Seascape view is outstanding. Beds are comfort plus. TV not so much, cable service is inferior. Bathroom fans very noisy, Sound-proof room it is NOT. Who cares??? The view is spectacular.

Just stayed at this property three nights ago and it was a great experience. Unfortunately this time the staff wasn’t the same and I was awoken very early to road works. There was no coffee at 10 am, and the two breakfast ladies working this morning didn’t even acknowledge me with a hello, which is unlike any Chateau property I’ve stayed at. Trudy was not there or this wouldn't have happened. The inconsistency of service is unfortunate for this property.

Location is ideal for this seas side town. Very walkable location for most of the shops and events to do in the area. The view from the back of the building are spectacular. Watch the ocean tides come and go each day.

For the price point in a well known resort town the accommodations was exceptional. The upkeep of the property and cleanliness of the room was very good. My only comment was, for what was offered for a continental breakfast, is more than coffee, supermarket donut and yogurt across from the lobby desk.

We were passing through St. Andrews and stayed one night. The hotel definitely needs some updating which we knew based on other reviews. Every room has an outstanding view and the area is perfect for walking around time. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was very limited, donuts and yogurt. Would recommend for short stay.

Very average hotel in St Andrews. Large room was quite clean. Hotel staff were quite welcoming. Great location along Main Street overlooking waterfront. However this is offset with a very small bathroom, terrible HVAC system, dated furniture and less than clean carpet. Breakfast was very minimal (donuts and yogurt only).

Friendly welcome, clean room, comfortable beds, beautiful ocean front view, close to shops/restaurants. Highly recommend Red Herring Pub just up the street. Their food/prices are excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
