Crystal Cove, Barbados, A Tribute Portfolio All-Inclusive Resort

We had a great stay! Resort is so pretty and well laid out. Great food - beautiful pools beach and clean comfortable rooms. Lots of free water sports and things to do during the day.

Crystal Cove is a beautiful location with comfortable rooms and a nice beach. The property is a little dated (it will be upgraded shortly), but we had a very nice time there on the whole. Pros - The food was generally good and there was enough variety that we didn’t get tired of it - The free water sports (skiing, sailing, kayaks, etc) are excellent and the water conditions conducive to taking advantage. - The bar was well stocked. - The room was a reasonable size and in decent condition and generally kept clean. - The staff were mostly friendly, particularly the lobby and concierge staff and the waterfront staff. - The gym was very nice Cons - Service was very slow in the restaurants, and extremely inefficient. We have stayed at many island resorts and all inclusives and the service here was notably slow. Not unpleasant or nasty. Just incredibly slow and forgetful This is not something we observed elsewhere on the island, so it seems to be a cultural thing at this particular property. Hopefully Marriot (which plans to do a physical upgrade) will also try to improve the service culture. - The AC worked, but ours was very loud at times because of a loose part. - We had no hot water at all for the first couple days and when they came to address it, the result was tepid water (Our party’s other room had hot water so it was apparently not a property wide issue).

Beautiful property and we really enjoyed our time here. Overall, we are happy we stayed here. Food was good and the snorkeling right off the beach was excellent. If you're a snorkler, bring your own equipment. We were happy we did. Lots of the chairs had broken awnings which was a bit of a challenge if you didn't get out early to grab ones that work (and it was so hot, shade was important to us), and there was one particular server at the awesome Cave Bar (amazing swim up bar side - very fun!) that clearly hates her job and makes people feel unwelcome, but otherwise, the service was pretty good, especially at the Drifter's Bar. Management was attentive. We would return to this nice property and are happy we stayed here. Check in and check out was easy. Lovely rum punch upon arrival!

Loved it all the hotel is very special and staff are great. Layout, beach and pools really excellent

Beach was not fully accessible, you were limited to a very small part to be able to swim in. Water taxi was not running 4/5 days we were there. limit on beach towels, max 1 per person, no extras. Dining for dinner was usually just 1 resaurant open.

Some of the staff were very friendly. I noticed that the facility is short on staff & overwork the staff they do have. The waitress needs additional training, some work fast but, lack customer service others come across as they’re just going thru the motions. Also, the front desk needs to communicate the additional fees upfront, provide receipts even if you booked with a 3rd party. This resort lack entertainment which, is essential and the facility doesn’t have elevator. For this to be an all-inclusive, the resort lack restaurants option & doesn’t provide for after hours/late night meals/snacks. Also, there is only 2 bars of which, 1 is open to 11pm.

Even though this property is 30 years old, it's still in very good condition. It has a unique design for pools and swim up bar. It's not big and not small either, so that you don't feel overcrowded and have a sense of a community at the same time. It's a perfect place to clear your mind and enjoy the sceneries of birthplace of rum. However, it is not enough space for everyone around the pools, which in turn also kind of murky because of the foliage and different debris that noone cleaned up. Other than that, it's a nice and cozy resort.

The beach was very nice…we loved the water sports available right on the property. I would have enjoyed a little bit more group activity options during the day (water aerobics, trivia, games..), but overall, the resort was very relaxing and beautiful.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well organized. Like many hotel rooms, it did not have enough electrical outlets, but we may do. The landscaping and architecture were tasteful and well designed. It was adequately lit at night, but not in a harsh or overly bright manner. The food at both restaurants were well prepared and had a very good variety. Every member of the staff was upbeat, positive, friendly, and helpful. We certainly had enough recreation options. The beach and waters were super. Overall, we had a wonderful time.

Such a lovely hotel and amazing friendly staff. The reception exterior and lobby area does look abit dated and nothing wow, once you get past that, its really lovely everywhere else.checkin was quick and complimentary upgrade given which put me in a happier mood straight away. Lovely rooms, we had the suite which was spacious ,and plently drinks in the fridge! Food was plentiful, nice menu's and plenty of variety. Childrens evening menu was good also as had plenty of choices. Staff were amazing with my 3 year old, which would please any parent. Knew him by name and interacted with him each time they met him which he loved!! Pools lovely and clean, and look amazing with the cave designed waterfall feature. Beaches are lovely and spacious, waters lovely. Just a few pebble on walk into the sea, but been told by regulars to that resort that they are not usually there come mid feb onwards. Waters are calmer than anywhere else on the island and the large rocks on a small area of the sea, stop the waves crashing into you , which creates a lovely area in the sea to relax. Water not very deep, could walk out to sea a fair distance and it comes upto your waist, so nice for not so confident swimmers also and toddlers. Entertainment was a disappointment, as only something on for 3 nights in the whole week for some reason. Having said that people who had been there longer said its only this week that entertainment was not so good for some reason. Perfect location to venture out

Views are extremely beautiful Then main thing we did not like was that there is no entertainment or music that entertains with guests during the day, very quiet with an older 65 crowd. Pools are ice ice cold. Great if you're looking for peace and quiet, but if you are looking for activates/entertainment (especially during the day) definitely seek another resort. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are a little dated Very clean

Staff are friendly and the views from property are great but the rooms and facilities all have ants on everything and the pools had plant leaves and parts of the drinks from the bar floating in them for the 6 days we were there

Gated security was a great start. The reception area was well-staffed with very knowledgeable and friendly employees. The room was exactly as described online, very clean, safe, and attractive. The food and beverage choices were fabulous. All the employees were helpful and went above and beyond to assure guests' questions and requests were satisfied. Booking excursions was a breeze. The facility was lovely and well-maintained. The beach area was wonderfully inviting, simply beautiful.

Loved the staff and cleanliness

Staff were pleasant and helpful. Food was good rooms and dining areas were well kept and clean.

Quick and clean

The hotel is NOTHING of what you see on their website and pictures!! There are roaches and, wild crabs in the rooms!! There is mold all over the showers! The beds and pillows are HARD AS ROCKS!! The pools are full of ALGAE!! And should not be swam in! The lounge chairs and cushions are full of mold!! The bridge fell and a little girl got hurt!

Property conditions overall were pretty clean. Resort seems to be a little older but is getting remodeled soon. Air conditioning in the room ether didn’t work or couldn’t keep up with outside temps. The food was pretty good, but the staff is slow. Almost every meal it seemed like we were done before you could get a glass of water. Front desk staff was very helpful. Overall would rate 3.5/5

the staff of Crystal Cove are exceptional - very friendly and very helpful. Couldnt ask anything more of them. food was very good. location can't be beat. and I loved the water sports options and the pools and especially the cave bar. and the location is very central - its easy to get anywhere on the island. unfortunately the rooms leave a lot to be desired. its not fair to put this in a review, since I understand there will be renovations in February 2025, but they were disappointing. design was great and balconies were wonderful. but sinks didn't drain, curtains didn't work, fan was loud and wobbly, a key overhead light wouldn't stop blinking, and no accessible outlets anywhere near the bed - all just very frustrating, given how awesome Barbados is and how wonderful the Crystal Cove employees are and the experiences that are available there.

It a bit old

I stayed for 3 nights and 2 nights in a row the fire alarm went off at 3am in the morning interrupting my sleep and scaring the hell out of me. Outside my room there was a generator or something doing a terrible noise that didn’t end.

Beautiful location. Beautiful pools. Meals were so-so. Rooms were in need of repair.

The property is closing soon in order to refurbish so we overlooked very small issues that were in need of repair. We stayed in a beach front junior suite with a wonderful balcony. Our room was in very good condition. The entire staff was amazing! We were treated with curtesy, friendly service and smiles. The two restaurants on the property were outstanding. We always were able to find something to our taste and the food quality was top notch. The bartenders were great and the rum punch was excellent! We would definitely recommend this establishment.

The pros: food was good, small but nice beach, and watersports were included. The cons: outdated, hot water was hit and miss, some staff weren't the friendliest, and sliding doors to patio required a massive effort to open.

The location on the edge of the beach is excellent with good pools and water sports. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is very good. The Reflections restaurant is fine by the day however at night the lighting is very poor in certain areas. Drifters, the outdoor restaurant, near the beach is good. The Room we had was clean but in need of refurbishment. The entrance door lock was very stiff and required easing with oil. The drawers to the chest would not stay closed. The bathroom was clean, however the Bath base enamel finish was chipped and the shower controls were in need of easing. Hot and cold supplies were good. Toilet and wash basins were good. We enjoyed our stay in spite of the faults. We understand the hotel is due to have a full refurbishment and following this the location, staff and food will make this a great location.

Fabulous location, excellent food but perhaps needs a little upgrade….. but not to change it’s unique and quirky ambience and appearance.

Great Staff, everyone was very friendly especially Hazel, she still works there in the same hotel, one of the longest employees that works still there after 29 years God Bless her.

We had a lovely vacation at this property that was made all the more special by the attentive and friendly staff.

Some of the staff were rude. One of the staff who works at the restaurant scammed us, we paid for a wine bottle with cash and she charged it to your room. We found out when we checked out, the person who checked us out did nothing about that issue. The room was falling apart literally, and the room is super tiny absolutely no room for anything. There was no water at all in the room for 3 hours one day. The food was my biggest issue. If you stay at an all inclusive you would think that there is options to eat throughout the day. Not at this resort! At 4 pm one day I was hungry the restaurant was closed and they sent me to Vista cafe where they offered ham and cheese sandwiches (if they don’t ran out). After I realized how ridiculous this was I left back to Turtle beach resort!

I loved the property! the staff was super friendly and accommodating, they didn't miss a thing. the property was right on the beach and they had three out door pools, plenty of room for everyone. The only thing I would say is that there was no night life for the younger crowd and we spent a lot of money traveling into town for the clubs and other activities. I would recommend adding a shuttle into town for these activities that would of made our stay a 10/10.

After a dodgy start with a room which reception thought was an upgrade but was without the oceanview we had paid for, we were moved after 2 days. It was a very friendly hotel, both staff and guests. The food was excellent and drinks were delivered to the beach. In a great location for using the local buses to Bridgetown, Holetown and Speightstown. The hotel also had a water taxi which took us to the other 3 hotels in the group along the west coast allowing us to eat and use other facilities at those hotels. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

This place was horrible. Old, falling apart, service with a scowl, inedible food.. I could go on and on. It really was the accumulation of dozens of issues that accumulates during your first day of being there. There is a nice view, with a rocky beach, and that’s all they have going for them.. the manager Raj was brought in for the Marriott “transition” and from what I can tell, is not doing a good job at all.. we ended up leaving to another hotel, with no refund, after our 2nd night of 5 total. They offered 1,000 Marriott points but no refund. We came back to get as many drinks from the bar during day when we felt like going to the beach, but couldn’t stomach the food or the service so we never would last long. The beach chairs and cushions are growing something on them.. and never any towels available… I could go on and on..

Food quality was not good. Not much to do on the area or in resort other then pool or beach. My biggest disappointment was the food and bar area. For the money we payed I felt like I was starving everyday. Every morning is the same food for breakfast and only some days they change the lunch menu. If you miss lunch or dinner you’re screwed. No more food available to eat. Only 2 restaurants and you have to make reservations. Pool is small and bar looks like a backyard bar. It’s messy and they melts running out of ice. So disappointed. I was ready to leave after day 1 here. The staff took sometime to warm up to us but eventually they were amazing.

Every staff member we encountered was fantastic, really making us feel welcome. That was really what made our experience so great. The drinks were great and the food was better, we enjoyed the different themes of foods. The complimentary water sports were a plus too. Overall we had a really good time here
