Carlisle was the cleanest, spacious, most unique place I stayed at. So kind all of the staff and they gave a pool and hot tub. The bathroom and bathtub with shower was very clean. Easy parking. Walking distance to the market, bakery and Ohio star theater all right there( my husband uses a walker) we had no problem walking and the hallways are extremely wide and we loved the different areas to read or do work through out the Inn. Will definitely be back again and again. God Bless these owners for fair pricing etc so all may enjoy this quiet relaxing Inn.

The area was very comfortable. Swimming pool and whirlpool inside. Kitchen area for breakfast was very spacious and the breakfast was very good with hot and cold options. A lounge area was nearby the eating area for seating to chat, play games, etc. Puzzles were nearby for guest to put together if they’d like.

Great, friendly staff. Pool and hot tub were nice. Although pool was “heated”, it wasn’t warm lol. Loved the snacks and breakfast was good. Room was clean and nice. Bed was okay but not comfortable but what hotel bed is!?!? We will stay here again.

We were pleased with this hotel and will be staying here when we come to Sugarcreek. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and homey. The bed was comfortable and there was a calm relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was good and there were gluten-free items available upon request. The pool is a little small, but the pool and pool area were clean. There is a small gym just off of the pool area. In the evening they offer wonderful cookies and a selection of teas and coffee.

This is an adorable place! Rooms are spacious and comfortable. There’s a nice balcony overlooking well tended flower beds. Rocking chairs around the fire pit. Playground kids. Complimentary cookies and popcorn in the evening. Excellent breakfast included. I love it here!

Bed linens were badly stained and that sort of soured our stay this time. Also, breakfast had no potatoes, only hard boiled eggs. But small pastries good. Pool/rec area had no balls for paddle ball game. Kids disapointed by that. Hot tub not in service.

My only complaint would be that things like the ice machine were not located on the flour I was staying on. So I had to go to another flour and search to find ice. Also there are no vending machines to purchase things like a soda.

We have been coming for many years. The staff is top notch. We have noticed, however, that while the public areas are immaculate, the guest rooms lack a little of the amazing cleanliness of yesteryear. Nothing bad, just layers of dust and some rust in the bathroom. It will not stop us from returning.

Arrived and was told since we paid in full with Expedia they would charge our card again for a security deposit. Really? We arrived in our room and found hair in our tub and sink. Called front desk and they sent some one up to clean it. Hair was not cleaned from our sink. Went to pull down our bed and hair was in that. Called the front desk again and they proceeded to explain that the hair was probably from static electricity. How stupid of a response. We then asked if they can come up to replace our sheets and was told they could refund us when we check out. Upon us checking out the lady at the desk told us that she doesn’t know why they would mention refund that they can’t do that. Horrible experience. Also the pool was a lot smaller than the photos online. Very disappointed. We will never go back

Beautiful place, but I don’t understand why the fridge would be on the floor and no microwave? The breakfast and coffee could have definitely been a lot better for an exceptionally rated hotel! The pool was very cold and the hot tub was nice! A little too much foam floating, but nice and warm! I enjoyed the cookies and popcorn!

We had a king bed. The room had a couch, a balcony with 2 chairs right outside the room. I especially loved the "changing" area across from the bathroom! It had a sink, hair dryer with night light, makeup mirror and room for 2 "luggage" holders! The first floor has several nice spots to sit and relax as well as a library. The 2nd floor had more comfortable seating, games to play, and the breakfast area with tables. Breakfast was a nice bonus. Beautiful hotel!

The Carlisle Inn is just beautiful! It was too crowded to go in the pool but we could’ve went late in the evening but we chose to go to bed instead. The hotel was clean & comfortable beds & bedding. The soundproofing could’ve been a bit better because we heard walking around above us late at night and someone pounding something in early morning. Overall we would definitely go back!

Huge king size room, 2 bathrooms ( one with the toilet, small sink and shower and the other one with a very long counter and hanging rods. Bed was sooo comfy. Beautiful lobby with library room & upstairs had a large lounge off of the kitchen area, where you eat in the morning. Beautiful grounds, but everything was closed on Sundays so I couldn’t go into the restaurant or the gift shop or bakery.

The staff was very friendly and often offered help if needed. Our room was spacious and very clean. The decor was splendid and our view was beautiful. We especially loved the arch of mums . Our only minor complaint is that the bed was somewhat worn and sagging to the middle.

Absolutely best hotel in the area. Front Desk goes above and beyond, rooms are spotless, roomy, and comfortable beds. Coffee/tea 24x7 and breakfast is far better than most hotels offer. Would highly recommend.

We loved our time at The Carlisle. The staff was amazingly and so welcoming! It was our 54 anniversary and I mentioned it while checking in and we got to our room. There was to goblets and a bottle of apple juice along with a beautiful note! This makes 2 anniversaries we have spent there and hopefully we will spend another! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The hotel was very nice. My critique is that the campus that the hotel is located in, has what appears to be unique shops, restaurant and even a stage theater company, all within walking distance from the hotel (across the parking lot), however all these places are closed on Sunday. If you book a Saturday night there arrive early Saturday and check these places out because if you wait till Sunday they will all be closed. Unfortunately the only place open Sunday to get something to eat was McDonalds.

Room was very big and generally clean, although the floors and some of the surfaces were a bit sticky. Breakfast selections were very sparse. Not much of a selection. Expected more since they have a restaurant on the property. The lady who worked the breakfast area all by herself never stopped working. She is an asset to the hotel.

The hotel and campus were very nice. The restaurant was a short walk across the parking lot. The menu was very good and the prices were resonable although there is no alcohol served and it closes at 7:00PM. Views from the balconies were beautiful. Rooms were large and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Nice breakfast included, cookies/popcorn in evening. Number one ...it is SO clean! These people put pride in their work and it shows. Nice location, rooms are big, nice to have bathroom w/walkin shower, sink toilet and on other side of hallway is a sunk, mini frig, place to hang clothes, coffee maker etc AND everyone has balcony or patio to sit out on. Nice Nice place. Went to the star theatre that is right there for a musical play. Also nice. Buffet restaurant is Good! Will definitely go back.

Beautiful, immaculate place. Best hotel I’ve stayed at in a while. Only improvement I would suggest is the complimentary breakfast. Breakfast options need improving. Scrambled eggs should be available everyday as only available 1 day of our 2 night stay. Lovely homemade donuts from the Dutch Valley bakery, but not everyone wants that for breakfast. Limited dietary options. Should have bananas, fresh fruit, and almond/or dairy alternative milk. I’m not gluten free but a gluten free option would be ideal as well. Overall excellent but breakfast needs improvement.

Wonderful place to stay - very friendly & helpful staff. Always enjoy the deliciously prepared breakfast items & the freshly made popcorn and warm cookies in the evening, Just returned home from staying there & already planning our vacation there next year..
