The location was fabulous ,the staff great and the heated pool and spa was awesome ,a bonus mini bar always handy too good sized rooms with really comfortable pillows unlike a lot of places we’ve stayed that have feather pillows which I find inadequate ,can’t wait to stay again

What can I say its an OK stay. Not really close to anything. The restaurant was not open during my stay due to Aus day. Not what it was hyped up to be. Pool was ok and there was a spa. Maybe a good stay when not a public holiday. Staff were nice which is important.

The Resort has a lovely pool area to use. The continental breakfast was great & the room was clean & had everything required for the stay. We a had a great meal in the restaurant one night & would recommend a visit. Overall a very pleasant stay.

The room was great — parking at the door, clean and large room, help with my disability. The bonus was the included breakfast and we went to the restaurant for a lovely dinner meal. It’s very convenient to have the restaurant on site and there are lovely gardens to walk around.

PROS: Bed was Super Comphy, lovely cold airconditioning, black out curtains room was nice and dark to sleep in. Massive TV, comfortable couch, Microwave, Bar Fridge and Kettle. Parking Space directly outside the room with enough space to still open car doors comfortably when cars are parked on both sides. Swimming Pool and Spa were refreshing with comfortable sun lounges. Buffet was yummy and only a 5 min walk from our room. Buffet Staff were friendly and happy to bring out replacement items as needed. Cleaning staff were friendly and helpful when I approached them asking where a skip bin is for my rubbish and they kindly took my bag of rubbish for me and when I asked for two fresh towels they stopped what they were doing and got them for me straight away which was really kind and excellent service. CONS: Room needs a deep clean thick dust built up on window sill, Long thick black hair stuck in the shower drain clearly visible Toilet had faecal stains from previous guest.

Excellent accommodation, good check-in experience, easy access to “The Terrace Restaurant” from room. The grounds are well presented and provide a peaceful taste of the tropics. The restaurant was pleasant, the meal delightful and substantial. Did not like the “virtual mini-bar bar”. If it’s “order from room service”, then that is what it is, don’t dress it up! It looks like the host cannot trust people with the mini-bar and that means me as a guest, which I find insulting….. Whilst it was a bit cool on this occasion I like a swim before breakfast, the restricted pool hours would deny this to me, and likely many guests, who are not planning on early morning pool games. Other than these minor items we would recommend the Ballina Byron Islander Resort.

The staff was really welcoming, friendly and helpful. Disappointed about the spa, thought it would be warm to relax and soak but it was as cold as the pool 😞

Vi kom sent og traff en veldig hyggelig dame som ga oss nøkkel. Parkering rett utenfor boenheten var veldig bra. Ble møtt av en kakerlakk da vi kom inn, fant en til da vi våknet neste morgen og fikk med oss en tredje i bagasjen da vi dro. Vi hadde kontinentalfrokost i prisen og den var ikke mye å skryte av. Det var mulig å bestille varm frokost men det hadde ikke vi tid til. På pluss siden, veldig gode senger og puter og god plass.

we arrived a bit late night and next doors was made noise, door was opened and kids were talking all nights and watching TV and high volume. also knocking door and slum doors so many time. we couldn't sleep at all. also room wasnt cleaned enough, floors was dirty and we saw 3cockroches in the room that night. there was only 2left tissue paper in the box. we just wanted to say so disappointed it. they don't think about guests at all, feel so sorry for them.

We stayed with my wife for 2 days. When we entered the room we noticed that the bedsheet has stain but I just requested the following day to clean up the room… they just put back the same bedsheet. Also they did not replaced the milk so I again went to the reception to ask for more milk.

Lovely helpful staff on check in. Room clean and bed comfortable. Room had microwave, kettle and toaster. Nice soft fluffy towels. Shower was over the bath, so may cause issues for guests with mobility issues.

Quarto amplo e o banheiro também. A roupa de cama é muito boa e as toalhas também! A limpeza é bem feita. Tem bons shampoo e condicionador. Porém, o colchão é muito mole. O chuveiro é muito fraco!!! Após horas dirigindo, um bom banho é fundamental, isso foi decepcionante!!!

We stayed overnight while travelling but would definitely stay here again if travelling or holidaying in Ballina. Restaurant menu looked good, reasonable prices. The pool and spa are resort-style. It’s an older property but has been well maintained and updated rooms. Our room was freshly painted and had new curtains and new sofa bed. The bed was really comfortable and good aircon and large TV. Bathroom in good condition but shower could have more pressure but there was a small bath which we loved. Mini bar available, decent size fridge and toaster and kettle. Staff at check in were friendly.

Two things I liked about the place is the friendliness of staff and the cleanliness of the tiny motel room we were given, room 4. But it is wrong for the property to advertise itself as a resort because it simply is an old and outdated motel. I don't want to be unfair, but I haven't been in a small old motel room like Room 4 for fifty years. We even had a blanket with a cigarette burn in it. Going to the toilet and then having to wash our hands in the kitchen sink isn't acceptable any longer. There isn't anywhere in the bathroom to place a toothbrush or razor. Overall I suggest the room we were given was simply mean. At least the front office staff looked a bit embarrassed when I got there and protested about our room, although there was no remedy offered. We were there for two nights only so we put up with it, but never again.

Staff were friendly & courteous. Queen spa Room & spa was a little small for 2 people. We just squeezed in. Aircon was too small for the room & struggled to put it on a comfortable temperature. Foxtel didn’t work. Clean. Central Mini bar was only available during reception hours. Overall a pleasant stay despite shortcomings.

Management didn't deal with noisy next door room which went all night which resulted in several sleepless nights .We enjoyed the free continental breakfast and free laundry. We stayed for 4 nights and left disappointed with Management's attitude.

The wifi was not working which was critical for my work. The manager tried to fix but it failed again. One of the staff argued about this which i found very distasteful. Won't ever etay here again. Too expensive for what's offered!

This motel is about as good as a motel can get. Everything was spot on . The room was spacious and nicely decorated and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay here. The only negatives are that we found the bed too soft and it’s 3km to town (wasn’t a problem for us though).
