This hotel is not really a 5 star more like a 4 star hotel. The rooms are old especially the bathroom it's not the level of Shangri la hotel we were quite disappointed. And it's situated in a big mall so there's a lot of people and a lot of noise. And it's way too expensive. The positif thing is the gym and a great breakfast

What a wonderful place very pleased with the staff and the facilities. Tess is a wonderful woman that works there I would highly recommend her to anyone she has a great deal of knowledge and is a very loving and caring person concerning her guests. Despite the signs of age ( our floor rooms had nicks and warped walls; maintenance personnel wearing coveralls and masks 2 days in a row ),the overall experience has been pleasant. Loved the Horizon Lounge which to me was the highlight of our stay. Personnel were all very courteous and helpful. Also liked the fact that it had a bridge connecting it to the Shangrila Plaza where we were able to have a mani- pedi for way less than we’d spend in the US and my husband also enjoyed barbershop services at a very reasonable cost. The store variety as well as dining options were great in this mall. Will definitely consider staying here again in the near future.

Our first time staying at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel for Christmas. We only stayed two days and had our room changed twice on different days which we were not too fond of, though we had a complimentary room in the end. Initially we paid for a room with city views because that is in our best interest. Our first room smelled a little musty, but apparently it's because the carpets did not dry right and the windows were not giving the views that we paid for. We were told it was because of the weather. Nonetheless, the front desk person and gentlemen that helped us transfer our stuff twice were super helpful and genuinely courteous about the whole situation. The next day while laying down and trying to relax, housekeeping kept knocking on the door and I have yelled out to hold on a couple times already as my partner and I are in the room. She proceeded to open the door and I get that she might have not heard me, but that was just unacceptable for privacy reasons. That same night, we ordered food from the pool bar and the burger took a little longer than expected so by the time it came we were already uninterested. Last issue is that the pool is supposedly open until 10PM but both nights we stayed there the pool was already close at 8PM. Other than that, staff at the pool bar were great and everybody that catered to us during the breakfast and dinner buffets were absolutely incredible and hospitable. The vast choices of food was immaculate and the bridge to the mall was convenient.

Great time in Exec Tower. Pool is large and better suited for kids than adults with slides etc, but plenty of chairs. Very good gym but I didn’t use the sauna. BF not bad, great selection but Exec breakfast obviously much smaller selection but I preferred as quiet and had all I needed….can be busy and hard to find a seat.

This magnificent hotel has it all. I play Tennis and they have a Tennis court plus a hitting pro available. For $32 an hour, you get a loaner racquet, brand new Tennis balls and an hour of hitting with their resident pro. Meanwhile, the hotel is like a 5-minute walk to one of Manila’s biggest malls “SM MegaMall” and they also have a skywalk/bridge connected to another nice mall. If you want to ride the MRT (elevated train) to go to neighboring cities like Cuban, North Edsa, Makati, this hotel is also a 3-minute walk to the MRT Station. Indoor parking is free and if it’s full, they offer valet parking. Their gym and spa are top rated too. Ditto for their many dining options in the hotel. Lastly, I love that they have a 9-feet deep outdoor swimming pool. Last but not the least, their room has a sofa and a coffee table so if you have friends over they have a place to relax.

I have always stay in this Hotel when I’m in Manila. I’ve been staying here for the past 20 years. The service has always been excellence. However, this time, I found the hotel room is really old. The room humidity is very high. I washed a sport T-shirt and it never gets dry for two days. The morning breakfast food quality has dropped is like a mass food serving to hundreds of people I have to say the coffee that I had cappuccino. It’s really below average. Had to get my coffee outside the hotel. The hotel is really due for a renovation for its five star rating and the price tag .

This is not the first time I have stayed at Edsa Shangri-La, and it was disappointing. My room was rundown. The main door latch was broken, and the toilet basin was dirty. There were oily stains. On my last night, I requested for a wake up call. The staff who gave me the wake up call was very rude. Lastly, on my last night, I received a call at 2am in the morning. I picked up the phone, and the caller hanged up. It disrupted my sleep. This is not the type of standard I expect from Shangrila, a 5 star hotel with presence around the world. Very disappointing.

My family and I stayed at EDSA Shangrila for 6 days. It was an amazing experience. The room at the tower wing was superb. Housekeeping was very attentive to our needs. They were always ready to help. The concierge was topnotch. The breakfast buffet was amazing!

This place is the best if you have kids! The pool is awesome. The place is clean! Awesome staff! There are two malls that are walking distance. Only thing is they need to renovate the rooms though. It is very faded looking and our couch has this discolored stained on it. But overall this place is a must stay and will gladly stay here again

i checked in early, and was lucky enough to have an available room in the uppermost floor, with a cityview ( overlooking the roofof the nearby mall) Unfortunately was close to the exhaust machine in the rooftop, and the noise it made was heard in the room. the staff readily transferred me to the next avilable room, where i discovered a fully functional TV.

Service was excellent and can't fault it. But for a Shangri-la and how much we were paying we expected a room in better condition. There was a letter in our room saying they are working on renovations but it would have been nice to know prior to check-in. The banana bread gift was a lovely surprise. Generally, the staff and accommodations were excellent. However, when we first checked in the desk, supervisor mistakenly told us that there would not be any reservations to restaurants available for the foreseeable future. She was incorrect as we were able to obtain reservations from another Shah employee. They all should be on the same sheet of music and if it all possible try to accommodate people staying in hotel, greenhouse, dinner reservations, etc.

Beautifully decorated for Christmas! Excellent location and amazing hotel. Staff are welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We were able to borrow a wheelchair upon submitting a valid ID which made it easier for my senior mother to get around. Room was spacious and immaculately kept up. Will be coming back for sure! Would skip buffet at Heat and have a meal in the Lobby Lounge instead.
