Cute cabins with bunk beds for the kids and a small kitchenette. Gave us the option to eat at the cabin or go out and saved money on coffee and breakfast. Huge bathroom was a bonus. Property was clean and beautiful with a fountain and fire pits. We could walk to downtown as it was close. Staff cleaned our room and even did our dishes!

It looks great when you pull up, but when you drive into the property and around the back, you will see the disrepair. Employees are living on property in the back- the area is unkempt and feels unsafe. Playground broken, spa in desperate need of chemicals, incompetent staff. We were overcharged by over $1,000 by the time it was all said and done. It took over 2 days for management to fix the problem along with 2 calls from us to our credit card company to dispute the charges. This is not something anyone should have to deal with on their vacation.

Everything was almost perfect. Shower head was old and really cut down on the water coming out. Don't flush the toilet when someone is showing. Not good..... Place was very quiet and clean. We loved that part. Dryers at the laundry room were not working. That really sucked. Also mark online you have hai dryers. You did not so we brought ours and ended up not even needing it.

These cabins are dark & dreary, limited outlets, absolutely horrible mattress that felt like we were sleeping on a cliff, not the cleanest, staff that lived on premise in bunkhouses (& one maintenance person was sketchy for various reasons), and our door had about a 1/2 inch gap starting about the doorknob down. The laundry facility was dirty, 2 washers (one was very dated), and many people “lined up” to use them (watch your clothes-people take them out minutes after your time is up if you don’t sit there). The pictures make the cabins look cute. In person, they are poorly built, small, very dark (limited lighting), & way too expensive for what you get. Amanda at the front desk was wonderful and helpful when a situation arose. In summary, we would never stay there again. The couple we traveled with echo our thoughts.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hibernation Station, the location was great- the cabin was perfect for my family of 5 & we appreciated the parking beside the cabin! We weren’t sure if we would need to park in a lot & were pleased to find that we could park next to our cabin!

Had a wonderful time in West Yellowstone! This location is very close to the West Gate, within walking distance of food and shops and is absolutely adorable cabins. Coffee and snacks in the office, no breakfast offered. Snacks for purchase.

It was a beautiful spacious cabin. Loved the jet tub at the end of a day of exploring. Staff was very friendly and accomidating. Easy in and out of Yellowstone each day. Highly recommend it!

The room smelled extremely musty and even after trying to air out for 2 hours there was little improvement. Talking with the staff the confirmed they were have moisture problems in all of the rooms and were trying to improve. Not sure if this is an health concern or not but made it difficult to stay in the room for any time. All the previous ratings I had read had the property as very nice but until they permanently fix the issue with the musty smell I would recommend you find alternative lodging.

The room was clean and convenient to the west entrance to Yellowstone. Other than that the cabins are very out dated. The Wi-Fi is horrible, the beds are very uncomfortable. There is no coffee maker, or refrigerator in the standard cabin. The ice machine was broken, and they were out of the ice they sale. The cabin had an odd smell, possibly a cleaning product but we weren’t sure. There is mold in all the faucet handles, they’re clear and you can easily see it. The toilets would clog any time anyone used them. It was not the best experience. Clean yes, somewhere I’d stay again no.

The pictures shown online are NOT what you receive. The cabin we had was very dated, the carpet was filthy, large gap under door going outside, the people above us were very LOUD late at night, shower didn’t drain properly, shower curtain was dirty, in general, cabin was very dated and could use a good deep clean. The images from Expedia are not what you receive. It is very much so false advertising not to mention the amount of money you spend is no where close to where it should be. Will not recommend to anyone! Worst stay ever!

Probably one of the finest rooms we have ever stayed in. Super clean, everything there, simple layout great furniture comfy bed awesome large shower, beautiful log structure very western decor love the fly rod end lamps! This place is great we’ll be back several times next year! Stay here if you can, right in the middle of town you’d swear you were in the woods !Seconds from the park gate. Mike

We had a great time during our stay! The cabin-style room was impressively spacious, which made it feel very comfortable and homey. We especially appreciated the large refrigerator—it was perfect for storing all our food—and the dining table provided plenty of space for both cooking and eating. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the utensils we needed, along with a hot plate and an electric griddle, which made meal prep easy and convenient. The only minor issue was the lighting; the room felt a bit dim in the evenings. However, that didn’t take away from our overall experience. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

When checking in the first room given key walked in to an occupied room. Had to wait again 5 min for host to get off phone. 2nd room key given went to room and had a do not disturb sign up also occupied. Had to wait another 15 minutes for him to go personally check rooms to find one that was open. The third room ended up being an upstairs that were very steep and hard to carry luggage up. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Cute unit and concept musty smell though. Wont be returning or recommending especially after being handed keys to other peoples occupied rooms.

The cabin we stayed in was great, except for easily accessible outlets for charging devices. We had to search around for open outlets and ended up charging phones and laptop from an outlet next to the foot of the bed, with devices laying on the floor. It worked, but far from ideal. No outlets at the nightstand between the beds or at the tv stand. They could greatly imprive by adding a couple of outlet strips and/or 120V / USB plug in devices at both those locations.

We enjoyed our stay at Hibernation Station. Check in / out was easy and staff friendly. Our room was a bit crowded, and no place for two suitcases, except using the only seating in the cabin. Electric plugs were also difficult to impossible to access. Our “nightstand” was only large enough to hold a phone. I know this sounds negative, but the beds were comfortable, and the entrance to Yellowstone NP was within easy walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay in spite a couple of inconveniences

It was good for a cabin, very odd setup with the TV in a strange location. Bed was soft. Carpet didn't look like it was cleaned often under the bed. Shower left something to be desired, often spraying some out of the shower area. The fireplace was a nice touch but hard to really enjoy with the limited space. Kitchennette was very limited, and no where to really sit and eat in the cabin. Just overall felt conflicted in if I enjoyed my nights there or not. Did not spend long as most the time was spent in yellowstone which was very close

My wife and I recently spent a week at the Hibernation Station in West Yellowstone while visiting Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. The staff here were extremely efficient, friendly and helpful. The cabin was clean and well supplied, and the large soaker tub with jacuzzi jets was actually a pleasant surprise. It was very convenient and walkable to most of the eateries and shopping in West Yellowstone, and the entire place was calm and quiet the whole week. If I had any critique, it would be that the cabin was very small. To be fair, we did book the most affordable option and were not anticipating anything grand. However, it was so tiny as to be cramped. My wife and I could barely fit down one side of the bed because it was so close to the wall. Other than that, though, a very pleasant experience and we would not hesitate to stay here again on a future trip.

Bad internet connection. Unable to watch a movie after a day spent touring Yellowstone. Kept buffering and unable to load. Quite frustrating! Kyle and Charley tried to fix it over the three nights we spent with them to no avail. Kyle did fix the hot water so we could enjoy a warm shower & bath. Beautiful accommodations - an unusual place to stay.

We have stayed at Hibernation Station multiple times over the years, and we were appalled by the lack of customer service we received by the employee at the front desk on this visit. He was unhelpful, put out, and uncaring.. not once but with every interaction. He said the ice machine wasn’t working, so we could pay $3.50/bag to buy some from the facility. He said, “He could maybe figure out how to print a receipt” when we asked for one, but was annoyed we had asked for one. He handed us the receipt without saying a word. I said, “Thank you!” but he just looked at me. Wow! No thank you! We will not be returning. (Last visit our toilet came out of the ground and we had to visit the front desk twice to get that fixed. We chocked that up to an exception. But after a second poor trip, we won’t be returning.)

We appreciate the staff and maintenance team that helped us to know how to operate the fireplace and TV . They came to the room immediately and fixed the issue and then checked back to ensure we were satisfied. There are lots of places in West Yellowstone to stay, and they are all pricey, this place is one of the few that is worth the price in being unique, close to restaurants and shopping, while seeming totally out of the fray. This is our second stay here and we will be back again.

Over all, it was a very nice place with lots of privacy. Some negative comments will be: 1) The door to the bathroom area wasn't able to be closed. 2) Staff aren't so friendly. In the morning, when we went there to get a coffee, they usually don't even greet. When I wanted to ask something, 2 staff were talking each other and I had to wait for a couple of minutes until they stopped talking. I think it was pretty rude. 3) They didn't provide us a new soup until I asked.

The property itself was fine, however, the billing was extremely shady. I was charged a $100 deposit 9 months in advance, and then charged the full amount again when I stayed. Thus, I overpaid by $100. When I called the Hibernation Station to ask about it, they wouldn't let me speak to anyone with authority to give a refund, and kept saying I needed to go through Expedia. However, I know this to be false, because even though the booking was made through Expedia, all payments were made directly to Hibernation Station. Beware of overcharges that they are likely hoping you forget about months in advance, and won't refund when you ask!

Loved this hotel, wonderful cabin experience along with cool Native American art. So quiet and comfy, best night sleep I've had in ages. But what made this a 5* experience was the service. The receptionist Ashlen was so friendly, gave me great local recommendations that completely paid off. I'd 100% stay here again and recommend to anyone.

The lady at the front desk was a pleasure to work with. There were 2 very young (maybe 4 and 6) girls, obviously the desk persons daughters, and they were as helpful as their mom. I have been in business for over 50 years. I would hire this family (the husband was head of maintenance) in a heartbeat. The whole stay was like staying with family.

We liked the location a lot as it’s in a quiet side street but still only a short walk away from West Yellowstone‘s Main Street and it’s an even shorter drive to the park entrance. The cabin was cozy and spacious. Friendly staff. Quirky design.

Really enjoyed our 1 week stay as a base camp for Yellowstone. Super convenient to the west gate ( half a mile!). The cabin was neat and tidy. Ours had a full kitchen. The property location is also convenient for picking up groceries, restaurants etc. and walking distance to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. The only thing that would have improved our visit is consider complimentary loan of bear spray. We’ve had this at other lodges that only charge you if you use it. Otherwise, would definitely recommend!

We picked this location being so close to the west entrance to Yellowstone. Accommodation was very good as the unit was clean and eveything was inside that we needed to use. Very happy with our stay, and will be back for a future visit for sure.

We found the hibernation station to be a convenient base for visiting Yellowstone National Park. We spent four nights here. The cabins and bedding were comfortable. It was convenient to the park's western entrance and close to a variety of restaurants and shops.

3 night stay in West Yellowstone, place was fantastic making a long stay easy. Kitchen, dishes, fridge, 3 beds and a bath. Very morning fresh coffee & teas at the front office. Hot tub was nice and private. Close to town and in walking distance to shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay for your Yellowstone adventures base! We had a cabin for 3 days - very comfy and nicely appointed. Full kitchen so we could do our own meals which was great! But there are lots of restaurants nearby too. Loved the close proximity to West Gate of the park.

The rustic cabin was spacious, comfortable and had a full kitchen with a gas stove. Loved the fireplace and rocking chairs. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Their dining recommendations were spot on. Definitely want to stay here again.
