Hotel Indigo Barcelona Plaza Espana by IHG

We loved our stay at this hotel. Its staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is close to everything. A bus to airport and from is close to hotel. The breakfast buffet has a wonderful selection. They have a water bottle refill station on ground floor that’s great. The gym is equipped with all you need. Overall excellent hotel. Really enjoyed our stay

Great business hotel with fun edge near the Placa d'Espanya and the metro. Staff super helpful. The airport bus goes from across the road and took 15 minutes, the sign says 45 minutes for some reason. Room was coolly furnished. Breakfast is awesome and the bar is fun

Location is excellent as it’s on the A1 airport bus route. close to Espanya metro line. Hotel is relaxing, comfortable exception was the bed. a little too firm for us, apart from that a very good hotel. Bar was excellent and had entertainment on during the weekends. Staff were so nice. definitely recommend this hotel and would return.

Great place to stay and very conveniently located near the metro of Pl. España. The cleaning was a bit mediocre and we were there for 5 nights so we got to see it properly. The room was comfortable, a bit tight but better than many smaller sized rooms. The place is modern and the restaurant downstairs was great with good food and great music playing always. The service was slow and felt forced with real lack of hospitality.

The hotel is so dog friendly and the dogs get a goodie bag with dog stuff, bones, toy to play with and other treatments they also get a bed and cups for food and water. Luna is extremely happy. They could also visit the bar and the restaurant.

Upscale hotel with a great vibe! Located a few minutes walk to Plaza España, transportation hub, very convenient to the airport. Onsite dining at the hotel was amazing, very attentive staff, upbeat ambiance, unique menu items, superb! The hotel is decorated in a beautiful style, representative of the neighborhood. Such a pleasant surprise, we will be returning when we come back to Barcelona!

Nice and comfortable bed. Fancy Coffee machine and tea pot! Small but roomy fridge. AC worked well. Large TV on the wall. Spacious bathroom, with towels and heavy robes; hygiene items available. There are two elevators and stairs. Bar and restaurant downstairs. About a mile from main train station. Plenty dining options and shopping. Plaza España within walking distance. Hop on/off 3-5 mins to walk.

Husband and I came here for 24 hours from paris and we loved this hotel so much more than paris. 1. So cute and decorated so nice 2. Restaurant and bar downstairs plus coffee and ice 3. Amenities in room: 1 bottle of water, 2 robes, 2 pairs of slippers, coffee, espresso and hot cocoa, big bottles of lotion, body wash and shampoo, very nice shower and huge closet 4. Walkable to the arena for dinner and shopping 5. Convenience of parking. 20 dollars a day 6. 15 minutes from airport and montjuic castle and cable car 7. Friendly bilingual staff

When you enter the property it smells very nice & very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is good. Many places to eat near the hotel.Short walk from metro station.The entertainment on Thursday is a bonus.Highly recommended.

良かった点は空港から近くてどこでもいきやすい立地でした。部屋もおしゃれでした。悪かった点は、スタッフの人がおしゃべりに夢中でなかなか対応してくれなかったことがありました。ベットは綺麗にしてくれていましたが掃除機とかはかけていない感じでした。

Ein sehr sauberes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal und einem sehr reichhaltigen Frühstücksbuffet. Ich kann das Hotel nur empfehlen.

Hôtel très bien situé. Dommage après mon séjour à Bangkok, j’avais une excellente image des hôtels Indigo et du site de réservation Hôtel.com. Impossible de bénéficier des avantages Gold d’hôtel.com pendant les fêtes de Noel. Je ne demande pas la pitié, une réponse au bout de 4 jours pour les petits déjeuners, je n’y suis jamais allé. Il y a plein d’endroits sympa proche de l’hôtel pour prendre un bon petit déjeuner. Après les mauvais conseils du réceptionniste pour écouler les chambres intérieures où il était impossible de faire courant d’air. Comme dormir à plus de 23 C, ne me convient pas j’ai pu changer de chambre le lendemain. Je suis français et râleur…. Comme je vais à l’hôtel, j’espère être aussi bien que chez moi. Le carrelage de la salle de bain a été posé par un apprenti peut être. Le bac à douche bouge de plus d’une centimètre quand on s’appuie au milieu. Les joints silicone de la douche sont moisis. Il y a des traces de saleté dans les charnières. La plaque du WC Geberit est cassé. L’évier de la salle de bain ne s’écoule pas correctement comme la douche d’ailleurs…. Dans la chambre, régler droite les portes des meubles et faire les reprises de peinture qu’il faudrait n’est pas au programme. La ventilation dans la salle de bain ne fonctionnait pas. Dans les couloirs des chambres, que les menuiseries et la tapisserie sont abîmés par les chariots de ménage ne posent aucun problème (ce n’est pas compliqué de mettre des protections sur les chariots de ménage).

Great hotel, only stayed for one night it would definitely stay again. Room was very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful

The location was convenient where metro and bus stations are nearby. One of our rooms was hot when we went into the room. The maintenance team has come to fix it after 10 mins we talked to the reception. However, I took out 2 stars from cleanliness as I noted some hairs were found in bathtub and in the floor after daily room cleaning.

I was welcomed and promptly checked in. The room and bathroom was very clean. The hotel overall was modern, clean and safe.

I didn't like the property. Room floor was dirty and sticky mentioned ti cleaning personnel but in my 3 nights reminded unclean. Airconditioning is non exisit. No working do wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Everything was amazing except for the wifi that was really slow but since we were only staying for 1 night it wasn’t a big deal. Would definitely come back!

An early check in was very gratefully received from a friendly staff. A clean room on the 7th floor. Unfortunately there is still a lot of noise from the road overnight and for the 2 of us light sleepers it didn't work so well. Would only return for an inward facing room.

AC was turned off during the middle of the night, making it unbearable to sleep. Overall hotel room not very functional.

This property had mildew damage in the bathroom. The air conditioning is nonexistent. They changed my room when I couldn't sleep the first night. I ran into someone else in the hall who was having the same problem in their room. I understand in Europe they like to control the AC, but this one was set at 18 instead of 16 and it did not ever get to 18.

Hotel is easily accessed by public transportation. Room is small but small and functional. Sound insulation is good. But the bed mattres is too soft for the double bed. I had a backpain after sleeping in the soft mattres for 3 nignts. The mattres is much softer than the average hotel bed. Not recommended for people with back problem.

Great room, clean with nice large bathroom. Easy walk to public transport.

部屋は良かったのですが、窓の外が館内向きで外の景色が見えず残念でした

El cuarto estaba limpio pero la temperatura del cuarto estaba demasiado caliente aunque me cambiaron de cuarto fue igual era como estar dentro de un sauna. Fue imposible dormir.

Had a very good experience staying at this hotel. Staff was very accommodating and kind. Responded quickly to inquiries and provided excellent recommendations on restaurants etc. very clean and convenient to transportation. Great experience.

L'hôtel est bien situé à la Place d'Espagne (métro, centre commercial, fontaine magique...), l'équipe est très accueillante et font l'effort de parler français. Ma copine a eu un souci sur sa facture où l'agent avait compté 2 fois sa taxe de séjour donc faire attention à l'enregistrement. La chambre est grande, la salle d'eau spacieuse, les couchages confortables, il y a tout le nécessaire avec des espaces de rangement. Le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffets salés et sucrés plutôt bons et diversifiés sauf les oeufs brouillés qui pour ma part n'étaient pas bien cuisinés. Nous avons pris un dîner un soir et avons été déçus par la païella qui avait un goût spécial et présentait des gambas crus. C'est un peu honteux au vu du prix excessif. Le serveur a proposé des desserts pour se faire pardonner. Donc OK pour l'hôtel mais je ne recommande pas le restaurant.

Front desk staff were amazing!!

We had to ask for the VIP benefit of two welcome drinks, it wasn’t offered. Room upgrade wasn’t offered either. The welcome drinks were also very limited to house wine and one beer. They were good, but more choice would be great. The hotel and staff are great, but they are not offering the VIP perks unless specifically asked for.

The Staff is as usual nice and efficient. I did not wait so long for check-in and check-out was already prepared in advance. As I am on business trip, i always ask for quite room and usually they give me what I want.

Housekeeping knocked then walked in while we were in the room with the do not disturb sign on. Otherwise, everything was great. Large room and nice accommodations!

During the check-in at 1:30pm, I was informed that my room although it was ready, I could not access to it until 3pm unless I was paying 30€ as it was an early check-in… at 1:30pm. The hotel requires some renovation and breakfast super expensive. I don’t recommend this overated hotel at all

Convenient location. Walkable to major venues around. Easy public transport access. Shopping & dining close by.

I could not sleep because there was a club across my room. I could hear the noise of the music and people shouting until 6 am!

Great hotel very easy to get to from the airport No 46 stops a few feet away and it’s also close to metro Station 20 min walk from the Olympic Stadium

Our stay was amazing, comfortable and relaxing. We loved the room and hotel. Location was perfect, 5 min walk to major Metro, plenty of bus stops, airport transfer right opposite. We could not have picked a better hotel for our stay.

Due to our flight being delayed, we got to the hotel at about 4AM. I forewarned the staff that we would be arriving at this time and they were very accommodating (they have a 24 hour desk). All the desk staff we spoke to spoke good English, which we appreciated as our Spanish is lacking. We booked a queen room, however, when we got to the hotel, we were informed that the room was not available, and instead they provided a twin bed room. Cleaning staff replaced sheets, towels, and bathroom mats, however, the amenities were not replaced, which was a minor inconvenience (if one was to have coffee with milk in the morning, but wanted tea in the evening, both with milk, there would only be one milk). Additionally, we had left used mugs in our room during the day which did not get replaced. The location of the hotel is excellent with easy access to major tourist sites and the Espanya metro station a 3 minute walk away. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but there were a couple of minor niggles we wouldn’t expect in this class of establishment. Thank you to the staff!

Wonderful centrally located hotel with amazing staff who bent over backwards to accomodate us. Fabulous room and breakfast. The only downside was the all night rave next door which went on for our entire stay with people milling in the streets all night. A very busy area. We enjoyed our stay apart from that!

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Indigo during our visit to Barcelona. The hotel is stunning, modern and full of everything you would need! The complimentary touches are lovely and it’s a great location to access the metro line into the centre of Barcelona or a 30 minute stroll. Would definitely recommend!

Breakfast is OK (not amazing), there is not much variety.

Shower water is weak. Breakfast buffet is so so. Otherwise everything seems fine.

This was a great location, I can get to all my destinations easily. The room was not spacious but cozy. I did asked for a room with a view he put me on the third floor which only gave the view of the bodega in front of the hotel. FYI, that is not a view. Lastly, I tried the breakfast buffet for one day, thank God, and it was disgusting. The eggs tasted like chemicals and the sausages were hard and cold. Not tasty at all.

The property and staff were great. The first night we ate at the restaurant and it was really disappointing. We were anxious to have some paella and thought we’d try it here. I had squid and shrimp and my wife had artichoke and something Mine was scorched and the rice was crunchy. My wife didn’t enjoy hers either. So the restaurant gets 1 star,

Seamless booking through Expedia at an unbeatable price. Vibrant, inclusive vibe with unmatched attention to detail. The room was compact yet felt spacious, with a dreamy rainfall shower. Breakfast was a standout: fluffy eggs, beans, fresh fruit, local jams, yummy pastries, and self-serve Illy espresso. Gorgeous city view with double-pane windows for a peaceful stay. Staff was kind and attentive. PERFECT location & Montjuïc offered the ideal mix of local flavor and energy. We used a 48-hour unlimited metro pass and explored the city with ease. Safe area, just 20 minutes and $16 from the airport. Reversible restaurant was a highlight—don’t miss the St. Germain Spritz, farm tomatoes, and the best patatas bravas of our trip. Would absolutely stay again and can’t wait to explore more IHG properties. Highly recommend to friends and family!
