När vi kom fram var vår dörr inte låst, kändes otryggt. Dåligt städat. Mögel i duschen samt fukt släpp i tapeterna. Hissen kändes oservad då den klonkade och lät högt. Hördes från rummet samt gatan med bilar hördes också. Ca 20 minuter att gå till gamla stan. Såg finare ut på bilderna än i verkligheten. Har nog aldrig bott på ett hotell som känns som ett hostel. Bo någon annanstans. Väldigt billigt, så det var ju ett plus. Hade det inte handlat om endast 2 nätter hade vi bytt hotell.

The property, despite showing it's age internally, was still busy, and met my requirements for walking/travel around Riga. Couple of supermarkets, along with tram/bus stops in close proximity. Quiet lounge/bar on premises. Town Centre comprising 2 large shopping centres/Railway Station and bus links, along with a choice of fast food outlets around 20 minutes away - slightly longer to the many historical sights.

Great rates, great breakfast, nice staff, scary elevators, noisy street.

Un regret, la chaleur dans la chambre car pas de climatisation. À noter : personnel accueillant et très professionnelle.

Ich fand das Personal unfreundlich. Ich habe einmal, um eine Frage zu stellen 20 Minuten lang warten müssen. Es gab nur eine Person, die alles organisieren muss. Am Ende habe ich doxh keine Frage gestellt. Sauberkeit: okay. Ich finde die Toilette und Badewanne unsauber. Auch die Fenster waren unsauber. Das Hotel befindet sich auf eine gute Standort. Man kann in 5-10 minuten alles erreichen. Es gibt ein schönes Café, eine Minute von Hotel entfernt. Ein Supermarkt befindet sich auch neben dem Hotel.

Rummet var väldigt slitet. Badrummet var fullt med svartmögel. Ingen AC i rummet och inga sänglampor.

A be- és kijelentkezés gyors volt. Az ágyak kényelmesek. Takarítás nem volt minden nap. Reggeli a Covid miatt nem volt elérhető. Éjszaka többször megszólalt a tűzjelző, mint kiderült ok nélkül, de a recepción semmiféle tájékoztatást nem kaptunk erről. A fűtés egy mobilkályha kiegészítéssel elegendő volt. Vékonyak a falak, az ajtók és a fal között akkora rés van, hogy látszik az átszűrődő fény. Rossz volt a zár, nehezen lehetett bezárni a szobát.

Sorry to complain but you should only stay here if you have zero expectations. It is inexpensive for a reason. It is old and out of date. A step above a hostel only because you get your own bathroom. Speaking of which, mine wasn't clean - there were skid marks in the toilet left by the last guy. When I went downstairs to let them know all of a sudden his English wasn't as good as it was when I first checked in. Furniture is 20 year old Ikea. Floors are worn out, bed was hard, no a/c, and the window wouldn't open. Plus, it is right on a busy street so the noise is awful. You truly get what you pay for here.

Greit hotell i utkanten av sentrum av Riga, ca 20 minutter å gå til gamlebyen. Hotellet hadde gamle rom og slitt bad men fordelen her var at man fikk en ekstra stor dobbeltseng, det er ikke ofte man finner på hotell i Europa. Det var ca 23 grader når jeg var her og det er ikke noe aircondition på rommet, så om du skal ha flere overnattinger i Riga på sommeren er det kanskje vært å sjekke ut andre alternativer.

Sengene var gamle og knirkede. Det andet værelse var renoveret og opgraderet. Stor forskel.

Hotel located on one of the busiest road, no ac in the room and you can’t open windows, because of that noise from the road. Avoid if planning to have rest.

A szobában nagyon meleg volt, az ablakok közül csak egy kis rész volt nyitható. Nagyon régi stílusú szálloda, de tiszta volt

I'm on an '8 country tour' (yes, say it to the Gilligan's Island theme). When asked what I was most looking forward to, I said Latvia and Lithuania as they were both former Soviet bloc nations. I came from a rather swanky hotel to Viktorija Hotel. Swanky was 4 star, Viktorija 3. I guess there's a scale. I've seen other reviews, and some people were pretty hard on the place. When I arrived, I did not have a good exchange with the brunette at the front. I believe Latvian culture is quite different though, plus, there was a communication error on my part, so I'll take the brunt of that. I obtained my physical key on a wooden knob as big as a child's fist and went to my room. The hallway IS oddly dark. The room is roomy! The furniture, VERY basic, like American dorm room style. The bathroom, a butterscotchy one cm tile all around. Seemed very Soviet era. The TV, snowy. I had to laugh after swanky just because of the contrast of the two worlds. But in reality, this is what I wanted. Viktorija is just keeping it Riga real. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was hot, location - plenty of walkability. TV and refrigerator unplugged. Why? they don't like vampire devices. Me neither! (Google it) They actually won my heart with this. Then I thought the dark hallway was for energy conservation. (Won my heart part ll). Would this be my choice for my 7 stays, perhaps not. For this one, I had good time. I will defend Viktorija Hotel in this moment. Now you know what to expect.

The location is a little far away from the city centre (considering a walk) but can be reached quite quickly by public transport. The location of the hotel is nice, several restaurants and supermarkets around. The room was pretty big and spacious, nice high ceilings with a 20th century vibe. The staff was very courteous and helpful too!

Enjoyed our stay , good location, public transport is great and cheap. Travel cards available from shop next door. Reception very helpful & welcoming.

Det stod att de va daglig städning men varken säng, golv, avtorkning av ytor fixades. Flera i personalen var ohjälpsamma och otrevliga. Gardinerna va inte mörkläggande som de stod så väldigt ljust på rummet. Fördel att de fanns en kyl men den brummade extremt högt.

The experience was great to us. In the city center, very convenient restaurants, parks. The rooms were clean, and spacious for this price. Check-in/Check-out was easy.

The place is calm and has interesting atmosphere. The room offers good quality for its price and has central location. It is easy to reach the old town on foot.

Super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Tolles Viertel. Hinten raus ruhig (vorne raus ist große Straße, aber selbst keine Erfahrung gemacht, vielleicht trotzdem ruhig).

It was fine, comfy bed, nice size bedroom & bathroom but a bit noisy at night time when facing the street. Nice relatively well located (note plenty of scooters around to get you where you want to go) nice close supermarkets.

Nettes Hotel, abseits vom Party Trubel, alles ist leicht zu Fuß zu erreichen, man sieht einiges von der Stadt, in der Nähe sind nette Cafés und Lokale. Preiswert und gute Lage

Helt ok boende, nära till matvarubutik och restauranger. Ingen frukost på hotellet, trots att det stod på hemsidan. En del av personalen var inte speciellt serviceinriktad.

Ciao! Non mi piaciuto pulizia, mancanza collazione. Struttura molto scarsa, ci vuole ricostruzione.

First thing I noticed when I got in the room was the state of the bed. It was the noisiest bed I have ever sat or lay on. It was also lob sided. I felt like I might fall off if I wasn't careful. The next thing was the shower room. So small that you could only stand at the side of the sink. The shower doors didn't close or and there was an awful smell which seemed to be present in the morning. No food on offer at all. No facility to make a drink in the room. Very poor. I would not be using it if I were to go back. Transport links in the area are good however. Busses run frequently.

Wifi was usually decent. Staff were professional but not friendly which seems to be a cultural norm. Place was cleaned daily. Restaurant was closed for renovations so no breakfast and despite being advertised as air conditioned it was not and without even a fan was difficult. Window opened about 1 inch inward but that did not help. A decent place and great location but needs improvement
