Hotel Forty Five, Macon, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Hotel was clean and in good condition, overall. The parking situation, however was a huge negative. The valet price is now $45/day for overnight, which was not reflected on Expedia or the hotel website. Add in tips and that adds up to a pretty substantial charge, with no viable alternative close by. At the room rates, parking should certainly be included.

Nothing really special about this hotel other than the roof top bar.

Delightful boutique hotel with everything you could want - cheerful, helpful staff; a very nice restaurant and cool rooftop bar; nice little rooms with a funky vibe and good views; good fitness center; right in the middle of downtown Macon, short walk to many restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, and churches.

One elevator was broken.

I always stay at the Forty-Five. The staff, food, bar and coffee shop are all great. The only consistent negative is the valet parking. They do not help with luggage, it’s always slow, and they just aren’t overly helpful.

The hotel property was beautiful! It was well maintained, and had multiple places to dine and have drinks.

The valet service was terrible. They brought me my car with a flat tire. When I mentioned it to them they acted like they did not care. The problem is they drove my car with a flat. I was not happy with the way I was treated at this hotel.

Walkable to all restaurants and bars. Amazing rooftop with skyline views and sunset. Loved the music themed hotel. Felt safe. Valet option is the way to go as the only other parking is downtown street parking.

Disappointed the only option for parking was valet parking. Clean room , hot water, good selection of tv channels.

This whole experience was awful!!! Valet didn’t have room to park our cars. We had to park on the street blocks away. The 4:00 check in was delayed until 5:48. Meanwhile my husband took the wrong elevator trying to find us and ended up on the floor where maintenance and housekeeping was located and about 6 hotel staff were sitting around smoking pot!! Very rude bartender while waiting on the room. Missed our dinner reservations because of delay. Went to shower before our event and NO hot water in any of the 3 rooms! Pubic hairs all over bathroom. Following morning still no hot water for a shower. Sent my husband to get some bottle waters and food since we basically didn’t get to eat or drink all night and he came back empty handed. Apparently the coffee shop was sold out of just about everything by 8am. It’s a shame that this beautiful hotel was managed so poorly! The saddest part was that I purchased 3 of these rooms as Christmas gifts for out of town family members.

Really a beautiful boutique hotel. Staff was very friendly and professional. Check in was easy, room was super clean and spacious. I had a drink at the roof top bar and bartendar was great! We did ask for a late checkout and thought that was secured with our key for the next day but when we came to gather our items the new front desk person said it was not notated and our key didn't work. She cleared it up for us and was so sweet and professional. We will definitely come back to stay there.

The rooftop lounge was a fun place with great bartenders! I wish it stayed open a bit later than Midnight on Friday and Saturday nights. The check-in crew (two young men; one bearded) were super friendly and efficient. The bearded one would have chatted us up more had we had the time. Really liked that! The departing valet was exceptional. She was a young slightly built African American woman. She exuded energy and happiness. She is a truly great employee for your hotel. The room was well appointed with eclectic lighting devices which were mismatched yet coordinated together. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of comfy pillows. The room had a slight bit too much (of albeit good-looking) furniture in it wherein you could wreck a knee or two on the bed bench if coming around from the window side of the bed (it was a slim passageway between the beautiful room chair and that metal-legged bench). My only real complaint about the room is that the bed faces a window with only a blind on it whereas the window by the bed had a sun filter, blind, and curtains. As such, you faced a bright window from the moment the sun arose. If you are sleeping in near checkout time, that window should be better covered. Nice place. I don't know when I will again be in Macon yet I would be happy to stay at Hotel Forty Five again!

The room has a vintage decor feel to it. The bathroom was beautiful and very clean. It was nice that a robe was provided. The bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows. The hotel had such a fun vibe. I look forward to going back again and staying at this hotel.

I liked everything about this property. The bedding, the rooftop bar, the elevators, the bathrooms, the location, the coffee shop, the lobby, the view, the art deco vibe. I will definitely stay here. My first choice.

Great location. Room was a little small. Would have been nice to have a snack shop or vending machinevon premises.

The valet parking is a bit hectic and clustered at check in time but there is street parking nearby. Our tv did not work so watching football was out but the management compensated us for the inconvenience. Overall a really cool hotel in the heart of downtown macon.

This is my first stay at a Marriot Bonvoy as I am a loyal Hilton Honors traveler but I thought I would give it try in that the location was ideal for my situation. Dislikes: The LG thermostat control is impossible to learn. With the outside temperature dropping into the 40’s at night, the room was freezing. The night engineer came to the room to set it at 71 degrees but the room shot up to 77 in no time. We suffered through a too hot then too cold cycle for the entire stay. Our glass barn-style sliding bathroom door was unique at what must have been 100 pounds. What appeared to be a latching mechanism was completely smashed into the door jam by prior occupants. It was not their fault as the door stop was out of whack allowing the door to hyper-extend. It is only a matter of time until someone loses a finger or two in that door. I made a report to a maintenance person on day one but he never responded to the room. I didn’t even report the broken bath tissue dispenser not that it would have produced a better response. A few more towel racks would be very nice. There was plenty of good wall space for them. We had one hook and one shower door handle/rack to

First off, the king room we stayed in was clean, spacious, and had great amenities. That’s where the positives end. There were a lot of weird things about our stay that were off. For example, even though I paid in advance through Expedia, I ran a credit card at check in for incidentals, then later in the evening we couldn’t charge our bar tab to our room because they couldn’t access the fact that I ran a credit card at check in. Also the elevator key system didn’t consistently work, and at one point we could get the elevator to do TO THE MAIN LOBBY, let alone the floor where our room was located. My husband had to get his key card re-programmed 3 times in a less than 24 hour stay. Then, on the morning of our departure, the television suddenly didn’t turn on. Little things add up, and at this price point I’d expect consistency.

Nice property, beautiful hotel. Check in is a bit odd, not really a front desk, more of a table setup as you walk in the front door making it crowded when trying to enter & exit the hotel.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. We just stayed overnight. The valet staff were wonderful!

When I arrived after traveling, the hotel had overbooked and had given my room to someone else and they pushed me off to a lesser Hilton across town. No concessions made and Marriott customer support said it was my fault for showing up at 11PM.

Matt made checking in a breeze! He was courteous and very helpful. I needed to make a few purchases and he directed me to the nearest supermarket. He assisted me in selecting a restaurant for a birthday celebration. Stellar service!

It was a nice property the only few things:: when I flushed the toilet it made a lot of noise so I had to blast the tv to stop hearing it, then when I got to the property they didn’t give me my breakfast vouchers that I’ve paid for. The second day I asked and was given one and the next day I was told you don’t have but then was given a 15.00 dollar one but should of gotten a 20.00 one because I proved that I bought it through Expedia after she said oh they do that now. But it’s cool she still gave me one which was out of the kindness of her heart. Around the property is kind of dead and not lively but you can get to things fast if you want. It’s just a little intimidating cause it’s like the people vanished lol

Excellent location for walk ability and friendly staff. Historic building that has been retrofitted with modern amenities. Lovely restaurant and rooftop bar on site. Clean and comfortable.

A beautiful hotel, a great location, and totally worth the price! Downtown, graciously appointed, with a wonderful coffee shop downstairs, and walkable to so many great restaurants. My stay there was wonderful.

We have stayed before & enjoyed the rooftop bar as well as the restaurant. The chef made a brisket burger paired with Jack Daniels & it was delicious as well as breakfast the next morning. Great service as well

Great Location! Lovely Hotel! Friendly staff! Horrible Loom restaraunt and service! Horrible Cafe too. Understaffed! It took over an hour to get our food and it was wrong and they forgot my salad. We only got one glass of water. The steak looked horrilbe and sloppy! They got the pasta completely wrong for my 8 year old twin boys. They forgot about us! They even got our bill wrong and I only paid because I wanted to get out of there! So sad!

Cafe very limited din choices- veery few vegetarian items. No coffee at dinner time. Nothing much for breakfast. Few amenties in bathrooms.
