Great spot, friendly staff at the pool, fabulous views. Our included continental breakfast was great too. It is spread out down a hillside so if you’re in one of the lower rooms, you will have some steps to do. In our opinion, totally worth it for the privacy and the view! Also pool had best pinada (non alcoholic pina colada) I’ve had anywhere with fresh coconut - yum!

What to expect for the price of 388 cad per NT (Feb 15-2026) We arrived with overpriced UBER 30USD (from local Quepos airstrip – 20 min drive away. It could be nice if we were greeted with some cold drink – ex Water like most places in the warm situation - as they (management) could see we were sweeting like … and it was 26 degrees but no sign we should have any cold drink …same in the room NO cold drink at all. Reason to even come here was to celebrate a big Birthday which was told to the management – but no help or little surprise or anything … like a nearby restaurant could find a nice surprice. We were told we will be upgraded to superior room – sound nice but what we didn’t know the room number was right next to NOICE of hell special motor cycle as the worth starting early morning to late night with the only big road from nearby city to national Park. After 2 days we were moved to lower placed room and also downgraded class. Room no 6 (price tag 388 CAD NT) Difference between these 2 rooms A: Superior (upgraded) tiny Kitchen – filter coffee(bad) no tea – no cream – B: the downgraded room has NO KITCHEN or coffee or cups. We had to find a cheap cup in a nearby supermarket and lucky for us we brough a small kettle to boil water for own bringing coffee and cream. Both rooms have including what they called “continental breakfast” I think a photo best describe how bad and almost NOTHING we were given in a place there call them resort 1 Piece of toast with floading MARGARINE

Fantastic view, convenient location, fair price and friendly staff. Ask questions about your room before booking. They have a variety of designs that might be more to your liking. Ours was adequate but not up to the standards we normally prefer. The price we paid was appropriate for what we got. But ... resort needs maintenance and upgrades. Our room lacked basic amenities like a coffee maker or microwave. Door lock was turn of the century brass. Restaurant was understaffed, often lacked ingredients and was 20% overpriced compared to local venues. The included breakfast is more of an appetizer than a hardy meal. Plumbing was poor and tile was dangerously slippery when wet. Pipes made weird gurgling noises at night. Stone steps down were a challenge for seniors. No elevator or ramp. Ask for a top level room if you have mobility issues. Nice pools and Jacuzzis. Overall, a great value for the breathtaking ocean view. If you're tolerant of 3rd world plumbing and eat off site more you'll appreciate Villa Roca.
